We came here based on their pizza ranking as #6 in the city. Not sure why we have never checked this place out as I drive by it every day. It's tucked within a Shopping Center, which provides tons of parking. Inside is more of a casual vibe with primarily booths and a few tables for a larger parties to sit at. We absolutely loved the pizza. I can see how it's ranked in the top 10. We also ordered meatballs for an appetizer, which were absolutely delicious. Service was good. Quiet atmosphere. I stopped by Vinny's Italian for the first time recently. I was coming back from Jax Beach and it popped up close by on Yelp. I ordered the Vinny's special pizza which allowed me to select seven regular toppings for one price. I had lots of vegetables plus ham. My pizza was delicious! There was just enough sauce and the crust was nice and crispy. And the tossed salad was huge and fresh. I made two meals out of the salad. This family ran business offered friendly customer service. She was very patient with me while I figured out what I wanted. I waited roughly 10 minutes for my to-go order which I thought was good considering it was dinner time. We were looking for a low carb option for dinner and remembered Vinny's had proteinza. I called to place our order: Floridian feast proteinza, build your own proteinza (pepperoni, mozzarella and ricotta) and a Greek salad. We picked up our order, the service was friendly and fast. The proteinzas were unique and very good for being low carb. They were small in size but super filling. We had leftovers which I enjoyed cold the next day. The Floridian feast was their version of a meat lovers. It was loaded with pepperoni, sausage, ham, ground beef and bacon. Lots of flavor and very little grease. The build your own with pepperoni, mozzarella and ricotta was very yummy. I loved the ricotta on here. The Greek salad was simple and very good. The addition of stuffed grape leaves was a nice touch. I was expecting ny style thin pizza. This was not that. Floppy slices with zero crisp. Honestly the crust reminded me of gas station pizza. I got a medium 1 topping and it was $18.70. The cheese was quality and it tasted good. I am not a fan of pepperoni under the cheese. The sauce was also very garlicky. In no way was this pizza worth the price they charged. I would not ho back. I ordered the fettuccine shrimp and scallop Alfredo and it came with four shrimp and super tiny scallops. I don't know if you could see it in the picture. we ordered a salad with it because it came with a super salad and it came with half of a tomato, one cucumber and a little bit of cheese on top of Romain lettuce. We also ordered a Chicken and vegetable soup and it didn't have any favor. We ordered the Philly steak sandwich to go & it was pretty good. It was an additional two or three dollars or maybe about 10 pieces of fries. When I went to go pay, they tried to charge me for an extra dressing, but took it off, because I never received it and it was three dollars for soda water, I didn't know that soda water was going to be charged like a soda. read more

The food was good but the server was not that friendly. I ordered the 1 slice pizza with salad snd drink. The pizza slice was huge. I cut it into 2 slices. It was nice and hot so the cheese was gooey like I love it. The crust was nice and thin so not a whole lot of dough. The pizza was a little salty though as I ate more. The place was pretty clean and there was about 6 other people in the restaurant. Parking was not problem and they have a few dedicated spots in front of the restaurant. I was curious about the new proteinza (chicken and rice mixed crust) a friend mentioned. It is made to fit in to a low carb diet/lifestyle. It was yummy and everything was cooked well. We ordered an appetizer platter wings, mozzarella sticks, and fries. We also ordered a Greek and Cesar salad. Perfect size if you are only getting salad. Sharable if you are getting pizza or another meal. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza on regular crust and the proteinza with pepperoni, spinach, green pepper, onion, and mushroom. My family said the pizza needed more sauce. I was good with the amount . Looks like it is a family owned restaurant and service was Excellent . Something has changed here in the last few months. We've eaten here for years and enjoyed the good food, friendly service and casual atmosphere. I ordered beef lasagna and could not find the meat. I dug into the dish to find mounds of brown paste between the pasta layers. I asked the waitress if this was the meat and she said yes. I ate 2 bites but no comment came from staff about my rejection of the dish. My husband ordered a sausage pizza with tomato's. Possibly he did not see that the menu indicated the tomatoes would be sundried, not sure what they were but there were small slivers of red which we assumed were tomatoes. The sausage was slices of a gray tube that were very unappetizing in appearance. We each ate one slice. We feel sad about this as we enjoyed the Italian dishes for many years. Very happy! Good service! FRESH food with great flavors. Definitely not an Olive Garden type of meal. The ice tea was perfect, fresh brewed. Then the Garlic rolls that she brought out came straight from the oven and was definitely made by hand. The salad everything cut that day and crisp Lettuce. I got the protein pizza with pepperoni and fresh garlic. It was not bad for what it was. I will most likely go with the regular dough but if you are wanting pizza but need to stick to low card. They definitely make it taste better than I have had in the past. My partner got the ravioli and it was also Freshly made. The ravioli was freshly made from scratch and had such a wonderful flavor. Nothing felt like it was sitting for hours or days. Everything had been made by a chef not the freezer packets. Definitely coming back to try more of what they have to offer. I really avoid giving negative reviews unless it is EARNED by the restaurant and staff. Sadly, today was one of those days. I attempted to order a pizza for pickup over the phone. We like to have a little red pepper flake put on the sauce before the cheese is added. This makes a nice spicy sauce and is totally different than adding it cold after the pizza is cooked. While this is not standard, we have never had a single pizza place refuse to do this tiny request....until today. The lady that answered the phone was very nasty with me, not only refusing but rude. I was in this place for 10 minutes. I ordered my food and while waiting decided to film some content. One of the family members brought out my calamari as I pulled out my camera and I said thank you. Seconds later someone comes around the corner yelling at me saying sir you cannot drink alcohol in here. I said excuse me I don't even drink. We came here for a Saturday lunch. We arrived at 1 p.m. The only other person that was there arrived a minute before us. This place is easy to find from the road. The parking lot has multiple entrances. The outside of restaurant appears to be kept in good condition. The inside had a nice comfortable feel. The tables and chairs we saw had no wear and tear. The drinks we ordered were brought to us quick. We asked the waitress to leave a pitcher of what we were drinking to save refills time. She happily complied. The appetizer we ordered did get delivered quick. That made sense since it was pretty much a salad to share. The food we ordered did take about 15 minutes. It was well worth the wait. Was able to try the Proteinza "The De-Carb" Pizza. It was really good. If you are a deep dish or hand toss person, then you may not be a huge fan, since this is a cracker-style crust. The crust is shredded chicken and brown rice, but it's hard to tell. I will definitely order this, when I want pizza. If you want a lower carb option, but still have a good pizza taste, give it a try. I was a little skeptical at first, but I'm sold. read more

Went here solely for their Proteinza - pizza made with chicken for the crust. It was really good but a 10" is $15. I honestly wouldn't have known it was chicken if I didn't see it on the menu. Just surprised it would be so costly when chicken is relatively inexpensive but would certainly get again. Just don't recommend splitting it, half wasn't super filling. Next time we will get an order of wings and the proteinza :) Should've taken a pic of the bottom of the crust. If you like super thin, you'll love this! The place is super cute. With a name like Vinny, you have to represent Italian food like a Boss. I decided on the Lasagna Lunch special with Minestrone Soup for only $8.99. I'd leave zero stars if I could. Tried ordering over the phone and it was extremely difficult as they told me I couldn't til I called back and they finally did. Then when trying to use a coupon they wouldn't let me saying it was already used when I know for sure it hasn't been so had to pay out of pocket since they couldn't reverse it when they really could, all while being super rude and having an attitude. Get home to eat and everything is extremely dry, bread had no garlic spread on it so basically just bread. And the pizza was just greasy and horrible. An Italian restaurant shouldn't be ran by Indians sorry not sorry but yall can't cook outside of your culture cause this is by far the worst Italian I've had, plus google says you close at 10 but yet you're kicking out customers at 930 when their still eating, I'm sure you can close the kitchen at that time but not the whole place. #JacksonvilleBeach- Truly bizarre dining experience. One of the most uneven meals I have had in a long time. This feeling was across the board from service through a three course meal and even the restaurant setting itself. We went in with a restaurant.com voucher that was downloaded to the new app from them. At first we were told by the staff that they wouldn't take it, then multiple comments were made to us regarding the high technology that was showing up everywhere. Despite this rocky beginning the staff was helpful and quick in regard to our actual meal delivery. Starting with a Mozzarella Caprese appetizer, I was excited by its presentation and size. However, it turned out to be one of the more bland food items I have ever tasted, especially when basing my expectations upon it's vibrant colors. Salad's came next and the portions were over the top large and the house dressing added a zest that was sorely lacking in the above appetizer. Entrees were the biggest negatives, as my eggplant parm was terribly greasy and my wife's tortellini tasted like it came from Chef Boyardee. However, my son's pizza was spectacular and I would definitely return if only to get another pie. For desert we shared a slice of cheesecake and although I believe it must have come from a food purveyor, it was garnished nicely and the taste was almost good enough to salvage the meal. As for decor, I don't know if I ate in a bar with a full menu or a restaurant that had a bar area. Overall I am ranking it so low due to the unevenness of the meal and my belief that when I sit for dinner out, I should have an idea of what is coming my way. read more
