I stopped by Vinny's Italian for the first time recently. I was coming back from Jax Beach and it popped up close by on Yelp. I ordered the Vinny's special pizza which allowed me to select seven regular toppings for one price. I had lots of vegetables plus ham. My pizza was delicious! There was just enough sauce and the crust was nice and crispy. And the tossed salad was huge and fresh. I made two meals out of the salad. This family ran business offered friendly customer service. She was very patient with me while I figured out what I wanted. I waited roughly 10 minutes for my to-go order which I thought was good considering it was dinner time. I look forward to stopping by again and trying some other menu items.

    Pepperoni, Mozzarella and Ricotta Proteinza

We were looking for a low carb option for dinner and remembered Vinny's had proteinza. I called to place our order: Floridian feast proteinza, build your own proteinza (pepperoni, mozzarella and ricotta) and a Greek salad. We picked up our order, the service was friendly and fast. The proteinzas were unique and very good for being low carb. They were small in size but super filling. We had leftovers which I enjoyed cold the next day. The Floridian feast was their version of a meat lovers. It was loaded with pepperoni, sausage, ham, ground beef and bacon. Lots of flavor and very little grease. The build your own with pepperoni, mozzarella and ricotta was very yummy. I loved the ricotta on here. The Greek salad was simple and very good. The addition of stuffed grape leaves was a nice touch. We both enjoyed their homemade Greek dressing. It was the perfect amount of salad for us to share. We will definitely be back!

    Philly cheesesteak sandwich

I typically don't do bad reviews but unfortunately the food was just not what I was expecting. I ordered the fettuccine shrimp and scallop Alfredo and it came with four shrimp and super tiny scallops. I don't know if you could see it in the picture. we ordered a salad with it because it came with a super salad and it came with half of a tomato, one cucumber and a little bit of cheese on top of Romain lettuce. We also ordered a Chicken and vegetable soup and it didn't have any favor. We ordered the Philly steak sandwich to go & it was pretty good. It was an additional two or three dollars or maybe about 10 pieces of fries. When I went to go pay, they tried to charge me for an extra dressing, but took it off, because I never received it and it was three dollars for soda water, I didn't know that soda water was going to be charged like a soda.

a slice of pizza on a plate

The food was good but the server was not that friendly. I ordered the 1 slice pizza with salad snd drink. The pizza slice was huge. I cut it into 2 slices. It was nice and hot so the cheese was gooey like I love it. The crust was nice and thin so not a whole lot of dough. The pizza was a little salty though as I ate more. The place was pretty clean and there was about 6 other people in the restaurant. Parking was not problem and they have a few dedicated spots in front of the restaurant. Serve was fast, I had my salad in less than 7 minutes. Pizza in about 10 minutes.

New crust - Proteinza - chicken and rice

I was curious about the new proteinza (chicken and rice mixed crust) a friend mentioned. It is made to fit in to a low carb diet/lifestyle. It was yummy and everything was cooked well. We ordered an appetizer platter wings, mozzarella sticks, and fries. We also ordered a Greek and Cesar salad. Perfect size if you are only getting salad. Sharable if you are getting pizza or another meal. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza on regular crust and the proteinza with pepperoni, spinach, green pepper, onion, and mushroom. My family said the pizza needed more sauce. I was good with the amount . Looks like it is a family owned restaurant and service was Excellent . Decor was nice with tons of framed 'Old New York' pictures that's was fun to look at.

I've tried it twice. It's not horrible. Not great either. Both times the pizza has been slightly under cooked and pretty bland tasting.

I am normally not a person who seeks out pizza in general because I find pizza is always missing something. For those of you who subscribe to the salt, fat, acid and heat thing (plus spicey for me), this is the pizza for you! In addition the pizza sauce was bright with a fresh tomato taste, not a sweet, heavy dark red spaghetti type sauce drowning in italian seasoning. Top notch! I can say I will come back for this one. This was my first time here and I asked questions about the signature wings. They gave me a free sample of wings. Same thing, god balance of fat, acid and salt was good. If crispy breaded and fried is what your wanting/expecting then these wing wont be a good match, but the flavor is spectacular. The lemon in the sauce is great. The ambiance is a little industrial, more designed for hanging out. That is a choice not a defect though. Just saying it is not a quiet dinner for two kind of place. All in all, a quality find and I highly recommend.

The ham was below average, with one hard bit. My wife didn't like that there was so little pineapple in it. Our Napoleon pastry was pretty good, and I might get it again ($5 for a small one). We both preferred it to the brownie ($4). I don't particularly like brownies, but this one looked particularly appetizing, and the order-taker said it was one of her favorites, so we tried it. That was a mistake. Perhaps I should have tried the mini cream puffs, which are a favorite of mine (3 for $5), instead. Among other things I usually like, they had carrot cake for $7 and a cup of cheesecake for $9 (which seems steep). Their fruit shaped pastries looked beautiful (and a couple next to us said they loved the mango one), but were $12 each. Their fruit-topped Danishes also looked delicious, but weren't available any more at lunch time. They also offer milk shakes and loaded (sweet) croissants. There are only four stools here next to a bar, if you want to eat in. The bathroom was pretty good. I probably wouldn't come here again, but if I were in the area I might try some of their other pastries or sweet treats.

We ordered one with pepperoni, sausage and banana peppers. While we waited for that, we started with an Antipasto salad. The salad was good, just basic. Soon the star of the show came out. A 10" pizza cut into quarters. 1 slice was more than enough for a person. Inside is cute with a very artistic flare. Not a lot of tables. Probably the one thing they can do is put up some sun shades.
