I am a regular customer here roughly 3 or more times per week on my lunch break when I am in town. This place has really started to improve more and more, I am very pleased with the blonde cashier, she is always smiling and very considerate. The other cashier I have dealt with has been rude and always rushing when trying to place my order,she has a big attitude with customers and should not be working with customers. I HIGHLY recommend the bacon cheddar burger with ranch on top! The Loop is always a solid choice for a "quick" sit down meal. Pizza, burgers and salads are among some of the choices - all very good. Loop N Bleu is my burger of choice and I've never been disappointed. And the hidden gem, the milkshakes. Some of the best and you get a lot. But don't get the milkshake to-go because only give you the one drink. Stay in the restaurant and they give you extra. Always a good choice. read more

Normally I am a creature of habit. I most often get the Caesar salad (with extra dressing) but today I wet wild! I got the Chicken Caesar Wrap! Pretty crazy, I know! Although not a huge change, I'm pretty sure I liked the wrap better than the salad I have been getting for years. I can't really explain it but I like the size and proportions of lettuce to dressing to chicken, etc. This is one of the rare places that I can make the choice of Caesar dressing over Ranch, even though their ranch is very good. My Dad and boyfriend both love the burgers here. The tomato bisque is yummy and they have the best French fries! The Loop does a limited number of things, but every single thing it does it does well. The tomato bisque is the absolute best I have ever had. The pizzas here are some of the best you can get in town and far exceed the pizza chains. Despite being more of a chicken sandwich fan I must admit I absolutely love the burgers. This is an order and pay then find your table place. Being my first time I stayed back until I had a general idea what I wanted. I knew I wanted a burger but the menu is pretty vague about the differences. When I got up to order and ask a few questions she seemed annoyed. So I got the bbq burger medium. Well... I noticed my friends food came out way sooner than mine and the guy behind me who ordered a burger got his prior to me. As I guessed burger was overcooked. The steak fries r bland and undercooked. Terrible service. The manager on duty, Skylar, was incredibly rude. I ordered my food for dine in and waited thirty minutes before checking on my food. Manager told me "Well, it's been up here and I called your name three times." They had the wrong name for my order, so I didn't even know it was my family's food. She handed me the cold food in to-go boxes. Came back for a second try and service was still terrible. They are hiring, maybe they need some new hardworking employees. read more

The Loop is my go-to when I want a burger. This parking lot gets crazy busy at lunch time (so many options in a tiny, hard to navigate parking lot!) so you're better off going in late (I was here around 3 and it was dead). The food is great, as you'd expect from the Loop, and the service is petty good too. No real complaints outside of the parking lot. The TV was a little loud for my taste (maybe because it was so empty when I was there) but the food is worth it. My favorites are a loop burger with fries or the chicken Caesar wrap with tomato soup. read more

Long time fan of the Loop. We stopped in because we used to eat here back in the 80's. Still great hamburgers. Fries were good as well. Since it has been 20 or so years I can't comment on the change over the years. All I can say is that it is still a great burger and we'll be back. read more

This Loop could really use some work. There were several dirty tables when we were trying to find a seat, and even the ones without dirty dishes had crumbs on the table. I don't frequent The Loop, but when I do go I usually get a pizza. I ordered the 5 cheese pizza minus gorgonzola and add kalamata olives. The middle of the pizza was not fully cooked and the cheese slid right off each piece I attempted to eat. The crust was more like dough, really unacceptable. The portion of fries my hubby got with his burger was comically small, it was literally 6 potato slices. Needless to say, we won't be returning. Very low quality establishment. read more

Stopped in for lunch with my wife, I ordered one of their burgers and it was cooked perfectly. A little light on flavor, but that's fine. Most places think salt = flavor and I'd rather it not be full of sodium. Wasn't crowded at all. Service was good. read more

The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the pizza is good. Other than that....everything else is average-kinda thumbs downish. We will start with the ambiance. It's lacking because of the incomplete paint that's all over the walls....like the person started caulking...but never finished...so between that...and the 1 unisex (because of repairs) bathroom...it's really turnt down in this place. Also, it seems as if the target customer base is older white couples...over 60. I felt like i was at a convalescent cafeteria. Nobody was rude, but I felt kinda out of place. Now, the food. We ordered a 12 inch pizza, pesto base, half veggie, half pepperoni. A small pizza for the kids, macaroni and cheese(was more like macaroni..no cheese..for $4.59) fries, onion rings and salad...yeah this was like a cheat day. The fries...were tragic. They were steak fries...they were cold, and obviously had been sitting there for a while. They onion rings were decent, but the batter to onion ratio was really off. The macaroni was a nightmare. The worse $4.59 ever. My 8 month old didn't even want it. And the salad...ahhh was whack. I asked the guy was the lettuce iceberg? And if so can I have spinach...he said it was romaine ...well it was iceberg. All iceberg hearts. Very bitter, too crunchy etc. all that... on top of the fact that this is a do it yourself kinda place, with people walking around to occasionally help. Safe to say I don't foresee myself going back to this spot. Spent $41.00 ...and low key regretted it....some people may love it....but it's not my cup of tea. I've eaten at the Loop several times - Fleming Island and St John's Town Center. Today was my first time visiting the one on Southside. Very disappointing. I pick up my Goat cheese salad and I immediately thought that I accidentally ordered a side salad or half order? I asked the clerk and he was like "no that's the size of the salad. The goat cheese salad is the smallest salad we make because the toppings are so expensive." I brought my salad to work to show my co- workers and they all agreed - way too small for $8.79! read more

We ordered takeout and it took half an hour to get our food. Everyone had the same idea. They were very busy putting food out. It was worth the wait. My burger was moist, pink and tasty. Not overdone and greasy like at other places. Next time I'll try their shakes or salads. I thought I would take off the bread and eat the rest but ate the whole burger. The Look is a few steps above fast food restaurants for better burgers, good chicken sandwiches, nice salads, and pizzas made to order. They still have a great burger, but unfortunately they have been surpassed by places like MShack and Burger Fi for fast, casual, quality burgers. I am still fond of the Loop's soup, such as their tomato basil and garden salads. I love good chicken on my salad but at the loop they tend to use cold chicken shaved very thin and it usually does not add much substance or flavor to the salad, so just order a regular vegetable salad if the healthy option is something you are seeking. They have one fish choice, currently salmon and it is done pretty good. The sides have choices of steakhouse fries, house made chips, or fruit and you can upgrade to a side salad, soup, or blue cheese chips. The chicken sandwich is still good but is definitely smaller than it used to be. Milkshakes are still authentic goodness and you can get some beer and wine or just a fountain soft drink or tea with your lunch or dinner. read more

I was in town for work, and craved a milkshake. Came in for lunch which included a very good pizza, and a terrific milkshake. It was served in a glass, and they also gave me the metal tin with the extra that didn't fit in the glass. I left very satisfied. read more

We have been dining at The Deerwood Loop for over 23 years. It has become our favorite fast food location. We have enjoyed the pizzas, burgers, salads and soups during this time. It has a "family feel" since we have come to know a lot of the employees (and customers). When we see one of our friends at The Loop, they ask if we come every day. If I could give The LOOP in Fernandina Beach, Fl, negative stars I would! I have been there several times and every time they get the order wrong, overcharge me or cook the food badly. I can not eat wheat or dairy or meat because of food allergies. So, I ordered the "grilled vegetable" pizza on gluten free crust without cheese and what I get is burned crust with raw squash raw mushrooms (still cold) on top of it. I go back and tell them the veggies are supposed to be grilled and they say, "oh we have never grilled them, we will have to ask corporate to fix the menu." And, they refused to fix it. It is bad enough living with the food restrictions I have in order not to get sick but then to have The LOOP do this to me it unacceptable. I will never go back and I will tell everyone I know how bad it is. I hope "corporate" sees this and gets a clue that they need to treat customers better and train their staff to actually care about the customer. I plan to share it on Facebook too so many more people will know. read more
