Great atmosphere at an elevated sports bar! I was absolutely not expecting the food to be as good as it was. The fish and chips platter had one giant piece of fish, hot and crispy. The chicken avocado club was a really good sandwich on toasted sourdough, the avocado/lettuce/tomatoes were fresh and it had just the right amount of garlic aioli. The fries were also notably good! Our waitress couldn't have been more warm and welcoming, checking in on us right when we needed refills, despite managing a lot on a packed game day. It was a beer day for us, but do love that they offer a 50 oz pitcher of hard seltzer. read more

Loose moose is a great spot for good beer, great service and live music at an affordable price. They have the dark and light beer duel at $6 which is unbeatable. I loved the dark beer and my husband loved his light beer, so it was really a cheap date. I must warn that the food was very mediocre. We ordered bar food like truffle fries and nachos. Both were pretty ok, nothing to write home about. Our waitress Lisa was amazing. She was patient, friendly and prompt. Ambiance wise it's very vibrant, loud music and they kept the front windows open which was more like a garage door which kept the cool air coming in. It felt really nice and you can see all the street action too. There was a live band in the Antler Room in the basement which I think is the biggest attraction. I must have come here in the nick of time because this thirty-year-old brewpub had recently undergone a remodel and a menu revamp. At the same time, I probably would have never entered their portal had it not been organized as a casual colleague get-together where I was indirectly "encouraged" to attend if you know what I mean. The Loose Moose? More like the Greatest Of All Time Moose. This restaurant was nothing short of incredible. Being an American, I know a thing or two about burgers. Loose Moose's burgers are on my top 5 of greatest burgers ever created. The service was great, the food was even better. I tasted poutine for the first time, and now I see why my friend's brother gained 20 pounds from eating so much of it. Poutine is great. Last time I came here was in 2019, so I thought it was worth a visit after going to Comic Con nearby. We were seated quickly. The staff was knowledgeable and promptly got us drinks. However the food took quite some time to come out. The Big Bird (southern fried chicken) wasn't too bad but it was slightly dry. However, the Mic-Drop (fancy poutine) tasted funny. We stopped in here on a whim since we liked the name and we ended up having a really solid lunch! Upstairs has all high top tables and a nice bar atmosphere. They have TVs around with sports on in case you want to watch a game. Bathrooms are a good size and clean. It wasn't very crowded when we arrived but we were sat promptly and our server was on point. We had a plain cheeseburger and the patty melt. Both came with fries and were large portions. For bar burgers these were pretty dang good which we were not expecting. The ambiance is comfy, relaxed and the servers are super quick, sweet and attentive. We came here on a Wednesday afternoon prior to a concert. At 5:30, it was not busy at all. We got a nice hightop window seat and were promptly looked after. I ordered the mushroom burger - meaty, tasty. The burger came with two nice beef patties, topped with brie, mushrooms and caramelized onions. I opted out of the truffle alioli, but I'm sure that would have been really good too. I got fries with the order, and to be fair, the fries were not the greatest. It lacked flavour... it was dry. I'm not normally a ketchup person but I definitely needed to dip these guys in something. Their menu was extensive and it was a hard choice to make food wise. A friend had the fried chicken sandwich. It had a nice kick to it. Another had a cheeseburger, which she thoroughly enjoyed. This place is massive, they have plenty of seating and at nights have a place to go dancing if that's what you're into. My friend and I chose to sit at the bar where they have giant HDTVs showing the current sports. We decided to go along the route to sharing an appetizer platter with two sliders, nachos, and dip, fried pickles, and fries. We each had a beer and were satisfied with our choice. Loved this place! Cozy and warm, great food and drinks and a knowledgeable staff. They had a special whiskey that is $100 shot (can't remember the details) but it is a bottle that is only available once a year. It was a corporate outing for me. We had a table to around 10 people and it seems like the service was slow as molasses. This is a typical sports bar with great drinks and appetizers but so so food. Loose Moose is a pub/bar that is located near harbourfront. As with most pubs, the menu has a large variety of dishes such as bowls, burgers, sandwiches, fries, and more. The restaurant is a decent size as well (a bit smaller then chain pubs), and I can see it being really busy/popular during sports game season. Lighting isn't that great, but that is common among pubs/bars anyways. I was pretty impressed by the poutine, it tasted great and the portions were huge! I only ate half of it and saved the other half for later. There are multiple other dishes from their menu I would want to try as well, such as the jalapeno dip, lobster burger, Nashville hot sandwich, singapore slaw, and wagyu steak frites. Came for dinner with my dude because we were super indecisive. You are met with a bouncer dude, and he checked our ID's before we're allowed in. Thanks for making us feel young. :D We went down into the Antler room. The Moose room upstairs is mostly the "restaurant" portion, and Antler is usually used for drinks, in a sports bar type of atmosphere. Overall, stuff was clean and spacious. It was rather bright in the Antler, which I liked. The TV was huge; I could see the pores on the athletes' faces. I ordered a Jerk Chicken plate which consists of the chicken breast, veg (edamame + broccoli), wild grains rice, and this mango salsa thing that was just a hint of spicy. My dude ordered some burger thing that had bacon and fries with it. The jerk chicken was ... the best grilled and marinated chicken I've ever had. It was flavourful and juicy, and the chicken retained its natural chicken taste. It goes superbly well if you eat it with the mango salsa. Their broccoli was great and juicy as well. I felt neutral about the wild grains rice but that's only because I don't like wild grains anyway... but it was still delicious. Jerk chicken was 5/5. Fries were also 5/5. They came salty (even though I didn't see the salt on it). It was crispy throughout and the oil it was fried in was not old. I loved it. So why 4 stars? Because their drinks menu. I know they pride themselves on their tap selection, but I was really hoping they could have some Japanese selections too, although I guess that isn't very sports bar-ish.
