If there's anything "lost" about The Lost Pizza Co. - Northport, I haven't found it yet. My wife and I make it a point to visit about once a quarter, and it never disappoints. Consistency matters, and this place delivers it every single time. Now, me being me, I don't branch out much. When I find something I like, I stick with it like duct tape on a screen door. Enter: the Happy Hippy with cauliflower crust. Now hold on -- before you start picturing edible cardboard, let me clarify. This cauliflower crust tastes nothing like cardboard. It's actually delicious. And yes, I'm aware that just about anything covered in cheese has a head start in life, but still -- credit where it's due. The crust holds up, the flavors balance well, and I can enjoy every bite without worrying about a late-night visit from our old acquaintances, Acid Reflux and his cousin Heartburn. My innards are at peace, and that's worth mentioning. The name Happy Hippy always makes me smile. I'm about as far from a hippy as you can get, but it's a fine conversation starter when ordering. And when the pizza arrives, I'm happy enough to live up to the name. The atmosphere is part of the charm. The walls are decorated with license plates from everywhere -- California to the Northeast -- mixed in with good old Alabama tags. One California plate in particular caught my eye: a personalized "90210." That zip code is permanently etched into my memory. Back in the day, every high school girl seemed to be glued to the television after an episode of Beverly Hills, 90210. I never watched a single episode myself, but somehow that number is burned into my skull for life. Funny how that works. Add in a few musical instruments hanging around and you've got yourself a laid-back, slightly nostalgic vibe. Then the speakers kick in with 80s and 90s classics, and you know you're in the right place. When "Down on the Corner" or "Old Time Rock & Roll" comes through loud and proud, it just feels right. Good pizza tastes better with good music -- that's just science. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is always clean -- which, let's be honest, should be standard everywhere but unfortunately isn't. If you've got small kiddos, there's a game room to keep them occupied while you sit back with a cold Coca-Cola and enjoy your pie in relative peace. All in all, it's good pizza, good music, and good people -- with just enough Southern charm to keep you coming back. We'll see them again next quarter. Some habits are worth keeping. read more

I was in Nport getting my car serviced and saw this place across from planet fitness and me and the kids decided to check em Out ! It has similar vibe to MELLOW MUSHROOM AND HAD A NICE CROWD! The menu had ALOT of options from pizza to pasta but we played it safe and got 2 large thick crust pepperoni pizzas and it looked and smelled good BUT we didn't particularly like the pizza ! The cheese had distinct flavor that tasted sorta ricotta cheese maybe idk but my kids gave it 5/10 ! I hate doing reviews like these because maybe it just wasn't for us but the service was good and the girl behind was helpful so imma give extra points for that and then bringing the pizza out to my car ! Incredible service every time I come. Today one of the cooks messed one of my takeout pizzas up so the manager took over and made me a fresh one from scratch and gave me a gift card as an apology. No apology was necessary, I was totally fine. they're just that nice because they like to be. I have plenty of other great things to say about all my other experience including not just the impeccable service but also the cleanliness and atmosphere, BUT today's event made it necessary for me to put a review out. Very casual pizza spot. We enjoy a thicker crust and they deliver with that. When they first opened, the pizzas were cooked very well and the crust was salted nicely. This last time we went, the dough in the middle felt undercooked and soggy and the crust lacked flavor. read more

Warning: No pictures lol. I've ordered from The Lost Pizza several times. I have never taken a minute or two to snap a few pictures before eating ... I hope that statement points to just how good this food is. This will be a takeout review. I ordered the: - The Otis (pizza) - Chicken Alfredo (pasta) - Caesar Salad The Otis is my go-to order at Lost Pizza. As a meat lover, it covers all of the bases & then some. The grilled chicken is a nice addition and separates their version of a meat lover's pizza from the others served by other pizza places. I do wish they had an in between for the crust as the options are only "thick" or thin". 9/10. The Chicken Alfredo was surprisingly good. I didn't expect it to be average but I didn't expect the nice flavor. The Alfredo cream sauce was the perfect consistency to be paired with the angel hair noodles. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The only thing I would improve is the portion size. 8/10 The Caesar salad is also apart of my go-to order at Lost Pizza. Their Caesar dressing is one of my favorites! Simple & good. 10/10. read more

I am a happy hippy and they have a pizza named just for me. Loaded with vegetables, crispy crust and I even added pineapple ( push your glasses back up and don't judge me) which made it amazing. The place is very clean and organized even with lots of foot traffic. There is plenty of room to dine in and carry out is also on point. Nice new restaurant in Northport/Tuscaloosa. Have seen this restaurant in Columbus, MS, but never tried it. What a transformation of the space from the former Mr. Bill's. Large dining room decorated with old memorabilia that can accommodate a lot of people. A good place for larger groups. It looks new and clean. Even a game room for the kids. It's an order at the counter then be seated place. Large menu of pizza, sandwiches and the like. Service was polite and efficient. Ordered the thin crust Kujo pizza. It had lots of toppings and was tasty with just right amount of sauce. The crust was a little more chewy than expected. Also ordered a small side salad. Not sure it was worth the $4 as it was mostly just romaine lettuce and a couple of slices of tomato. It's a nice pizza option in the area. Worth another visit. Will try the thick crust on next visit. Not sure it will be our favorite go to pizza place in town though. read more

I wanted to like this place. We got a thin crust pizza (over cooked and dried out), fried ravioli (over cooked and dried out), boneless chicken wings and bread sticks. The bread sticks were the only thing edible! We at least had a family laugh at how much of a thud there was when we tapped the hard pizza on our table. Seriously, it was like a brick. I'm so disappointed in this place. I type this as we are headed to Taco Casa for "second" dinner since none of us like this place. My husband did say service was fine but the food just isn't good. read more

To start with I have heard people compare this place to Bama Bino... LOL. Not even close. Second, we both ordered our own pizza. Wife wanted green peppers taken off and wanted to add banana peppers. This is a $1 up charge. I however wanted banana peppers taken off and wanted green peppers added. Another $1 up charge. My question is why an extra charge just for changing one vegetable for another? It's not like we were adding premium items here. Maybe these pizza are premade and they have to physically take the ingredients off and add others ones...? Wasn't impressed. Third, wife and I walked in and wanted to sit at the bar. Unfortunately they allow children (3 kids) to sit at the bar. Not talking about the bar area but at the main bar. On top of that they spent most of their time in the gaming area and came back periodically for a drink of coke or whatever. We should have just gone to Chuck E Cheese. Come on Lost Pizza. You can and should do better. Service was good. This was our second trip after giving it another chance and will not be back. read more

We have been here several times and the food is always top notch. The Greek salad is PHENOMENAL! However, the past 3 times we have visited during dinner, people have had to clean off the tables they wanted to sit at. Last night, along with the dirty tables, there was no ice in the machine, no lids and barely any straws.... As a former server, I absolutely understand a rush, but there seems to be no structure, no hustle from the servers/runners and I also noticed the bartender was waiting on someone to run drinks, but could've easily run those on their behalf. There were two tables close to us that ended up getting two pizzas due to a mix up in the kitchen. While there were a few who were hustling and trying to keep things running smooth, the rest of the staff could use a pep talk. We are going to give it a few weeks before we return. read more

I really wanted to like this place more. Atmosphere was good, line moved fast. It's counter service by the way. No where near enough parking for a Friday night but sufficient tables were available. My order was timely. Northport really needs some quality gourmet pizza. I had assumed it would be comparable to another gourmet type pizza place in town. Sadly, this isn't it. $70 for two large pizzas and cheesy bread. I can live with that if the quality is there. The thick crust tasted like typical delivery pizza. The thin crust so limp it couldn't hold the toppings. Yikes. The most important part of pizza making is the dough, y'all. I will go elsewhere for good pizza or settle for cheap delivery. I was reluctant to try this place because I ate at the one in Starkville a few years ago and it sucked. But this was a pleasant surprise. Some of my family ordered take out here and the pizza, as of now, beats all the chains in the Tuscaloosa area by a mile. The strawberry dessert pizza Is amazing. The tamales are also the best in the area. I hope they can maintain this standard. If they do, I will be getting my pizza here from now on. read more

The pizza was incredible and we were satisfied with the pepperoni, but then they came out with the margarita pizza free of charge! The food is so good! The place is decorated fun and they have a game room for the kids. The crust reminds me of the Pizza Hut crust from the 90s when they actually pan fried the dough. I'm not trying to be strict on them, I understand it's hard sometimes because I am a server, but it took a long time for them to make spaghetti, 2 pizzas, and a sandwich, then when we ordered dessert, it wasn't that good. It took 45 minutes to an hour to even place an order. I guess that is not too shocking when groups of 6 are jumping mid way in the line. When I pointed that out to the management they did not take any actions to resolve the situation. Letting that sort of stuff go in in an establishment that serves alcohol is a recipe for a disaster. Poorly trained staff and indifferent managers will be the downfall of this place. My experience is this poor and I have not even had the food served yet. read more

I have had three different pizzas there and all of them were wonderful. I also love their delta tamales. I like to order a dozen and eat one or two for a snack for a few days until they are all gone. This is a great pizza place and we eat there once every week or so. The food is wonderful, the staff is friendly and the manager is super nice. It does take a while to get your food if you go during the busy times, so make sure you take someone you don't mind being with for a while. The food is totally worth the wait. read more

First time we went it was wonderful , second time they lost my pizza , this last time it was just AWFULLLL!!!!! We brought our friends and spent 116.00 on pizza and it took 45 mins to get out our BURNED UP pizzas and the employees are down right rude and I'll never come back !!!!!!!!
