I went inside and she never acknowledged that I came in. I could see my order sitting there getting cold while I waited for service. Finally I got tired of waiting and told her my tracker said my order was ready. She then handed me my order without saying anything. No acknowledgement of seeing me or ignoring me. Good tasting pizza! It's their sauce that I'm very impressed with! I love how they offer pizza bowls, great for low-carb dieting (hubby is diabetic) or avoiding gluten (our house also has a gluten allergy)! We usually just pick up our order. The one and only time we ordered for delivery, food arrived 2.5 hours later (we were told 45 min for delivery) and was missing an entire pizza that took another 30 minutes to get. Friends waiting on missing pizza kept telling us to go ahead and eat, but it felt wrong after waiting for so long to get it to begin with. We've never trusted delivery from there again. I have tried multiple times to order a calzone WITH PINEAPPLE... their system doesn't allow it, so although you can order pineapple on your pizza, you cannot get it in your calzone. They literally will give me a cup of raw pineapple on the side but refuse to cook it inside the calzone. Makes no sense at all. read more

Toward the end of the wait we attempted to call to see when it would be delivered and we're out on the virtual hold world until somebody got tired of the ringing and took the phone off the hook but didn't answer although we could hear the counter people conversing with other customers. Online said order would be ready in 28 minutes. Pulled through the drive-thru at 30 minutes,waited 5 minutes for someone to come to the window and was told that it would be another 20 minutes before order was ready. When I went in there were 5 people working and 2 other customers, 1 was getting their food and 1 was sitting waiting on their order. I then told the lady at the counter my name. She turned around and retrieved my food from under the heating lamp. I asked why it wasn't brought out like I was told it would be. She said they were just too busy. With that being said, they had my phone number and could have called and let me know it was ready. If I hadn't already paid online, I would have left the order on the counter. This has been a COVID staple for me and my family! Marcos is always fast and efficient with their pizzas. I love love love their white sauce pizza. I usually get mine with pineapple, tomato, and spinach, and it's absolute perfection. My family loves their pepperoni and supreme pizzas. Every time we arrive, the pizza is ready. Pickup is short and sweet. The workers are friendly and kind. My only complaint is their ranch isn't very good. I would rather get ranch from somewhere else than theirs. My grandson went back after I convinced the person at the store my order # , time etc to retrieve part of my order that was missing, everything I ordered was wrong. This place does a good take out business so eating in was surprisingly quick. It is difficult to find good quality pizza in Alabama so to find one that knows how to do a crispy thin crust is a treat. That said, the pizza we ordered did not have oregano on it nor did they have any in house to sprinkle on. The best pizza is when the oregano is baked into the cheese. This is in my book is a serious demerit in pizza making. So if you have never had real pizza in New York and Connecticut, then this may be excellent but once you have had the true thing no pizza can come close. We give this a rounded up 2.5 stars. The reviews for this location were so ambivalent I decided to just go for it and see if it was worth it. I have now switched this to my favorite take out pizza in town. I've ordered about 5 times and my delivery is always on time or early, the staff has been helpful, and the pizza is delicious. Not as greasy as other places and really good quality take out. The one time there was a problem with my order, they fixed it before I was even aware of it by giving me a free pizza. I think the reviews I've read about lazy or unhelpful staff have been unwarranted, at least in my experience. I agree it's a tad more expensive than the other pizza delivery places but it's a tad better quality as well. I prefer to order online where a lot of their cheaper offers are. However, I did order a more expensive "speciality" pizza and did not feel it was worth the price without the discount offer they run every so often. First off, let me say the pizza was pretty good. A little greasy, but the toppings were on-point, the delivery driver came very quickly, and it overall hit the spot. So why give them a 2 star rating? We got coupons in our mail (Downtown Tuscaloosa) for Marco's Pizza. We decided to give them a call and use one of them (XL pizza for $13) for a delivery. Marco's never disclosed on the ad we got in the mail, or during our phone conversation ordering pizza, that there would be a delivery fee of nearly $3. I find this somewhat unethical, and something you should absolutely disclose to your customers. A $13 pizza cost $20 after delivery fees, tax, and tipping the driver. Next time I'll just order from somewhere closer that doesn't charge these types of fees (or at the very least, discloses them). read more

Marco's is a great find! No app, but ordering via their website is easy enough. This is also where you can find their best deals, which make it competitive with the other chain delivery places. Their pizza is tasty, always delivered or ready to be picked up quickly, and more consistent than some of the more expensive pizza places in town. It's hard to find many restaurants that last very long in this area...I mean other than fast food places. In any case, I have been a number of times during peak and non peak times and the food has been very good...the service even better! I think that there has been some "growing pains" with opening as with any new business. But they seem to have overcome some very minor issues and produce a quality meal at competitive prices - and service is very good! The owners/management are hands on and in the location almost daily and are personally vested in their customers, the community, their people and this will all result in a success story when all is said and done for MARCO's in Northport!
