I stopped by here for a quick drink before heading to watch a side walk film festival movie. It took a little bit for the bartender to come over. Once she came over, every draft beer I was interested in ... they didn't have. She mentioned their menu changing recently. I ordered a blue moon and a water but I never got my water. I closed my tab out pretty quickly and ended up going somewhere else. Blue moon just doesn't satisfy me. This was probably like my second time at the Louis bar. I likely won't be back. This bar is located smack dab in the middle of the Pizitz food hall. It has ample seating, plugs along the perimeter, and the bartenders are cool. I like to come here to co-work since it's an ideal spot to also grab lunch and have meetings. They also have pretty awesome happy hour specials, the margarita is my fav. They also name drinks after loal biz owners sometimes, I loved the Jacqui Jones. read more

It's a decent spot to stop in and get a drink if you're downtown during the day. For a bar though, they close early in the night. The drinks are decent and so so in terms of price. Depending on who is bartending the service seems to wane a little bit as well. Not really a place I'd go out of my way for to get a drink. read more

Honestly I'm not a fan of the pitziz, but The Louis is such a great additive to this place. Fairly large seating area, with a great cocktail menu that changes with the seasons. Lots of draft beer options as well. It's a great place to have a cold beer and catch up with a friend. They always have pretty great music playing also. I didn't think this place could get any better until they added on pizza. Boy the pizza is fantastic. The white pie is delicious, bring on all the mushrooms. My husband and aunt both ordered pizzas from here. The wait time is long but that's understandable for pizza. Pizza is thin, new york style...foldable. They enjoyed their pizzas but noted how salty they were. I tried a bite and agree. You're going to need something sweet and a lotta watta to counter balance that saltiness. So I was excited to try the Pizitz Food Hall for the first time, and I knew I would be overwhelmed once I got inside so as a Yelper, I have obviously been studying my options. I took the safe route and got pizza from The Louis Bar. They are called the Iron Pie Pizza, and they serve personal pizzas. Four slices per pie. The bar was beautiful, marble countertops, and two very attentive servers. Looking at the food menu, there were about 4 or 5 pizza options. Their pizza is pretty fancy, and I had to google at least one ingredient from each pie just to make sure it wasn't something crazy that I couldn't eat. FYI...pecorino and parmigiana are both cheeses! I ended up going with the pepperoni which was called the Pope of Greenwhich Village. The meat, sauce, and cheese topping was very refreshing and delicious. I'm not a huge fan of the brick oven style pizza. I like mine more doughy and cheesy, so I probably will try a different place for food when I come back to the Pizitz and maybe come back here for a drink. read more

Great bar in a great location-all the food booths around make for great opportunities in dining. Good bartenders and a good selection of beer and spirits. I had the Mindy Mule - very good! I tried a sample of the draft beer from Blackberry Farms in Tennessee, a Belgium Saison. It was ok, but that's not a style of beer that I usually drink, so my opinion shouldn't carry as much weight on that. I'll definitely be back! read more

This bar is awesome because of its prime location in the middle of Pizitz Food Hall. You can get whatever food you like, and then take it over to the bar for drinks. The staff is super friendly, and service is always quick. They do run drink specials, though I don't know what days those apply. I go there for cocktails and then in Sunday's I will go for mimosas (pictured below) $5 each or $15 for the whole bottle. read more

When it's open, it's a really good bar with great bartenders. But it has absolutely ludicrous hours. Closing at 9:00 p.m. is jaw-droppingly absurd for a bar. I mean...it's allegedly a BAR. Some of us don't even get home until shortly before that. I wouldn't mind if I didn't live in the Pizitz and pay an enormous rent, and I don't think it's asking too much for the bar conveniently downstairs to be open until at least a respectable 10-11 p.m. read more

Trust your bartender! They definitely know what they're doing. Great, friendly people that were always attentive and helpful. Drink menu was solid, and ordering off-menu was even better with a VERY knowledgable bartender (from ginever to hidden rums). My only complaint is the noise level of the whole place, but that's out of their control. read more
