The food was pretty good. The other people in my party had a burger and fries and a fried chicken sandwich with fries. Burger was excellent, chicken was too big and the filler it was fried in was too much. The fries were awesome. You could definitely tell they were hand cut and made here. I had the tempura shrimp with tai sauce and a side of fries. The shrimp was great. Drinks were good. I had the Down East Blackberry cider on tap and then a couple of captain and cokes. Came early on a Saturday evening (5pm) on our way through Easton. This place looks so quaint from the outside. You can see the river from their deck. It's huge inside! The bar is beautiful. Music was good. Drinks were delicious! I had a strawberry mojito and it was great. The bbq burger with fries, and my husband had the dip sandwich. Both were fantastic! We love the hand cut fries. I came here because they were having a Toy Story breakfast for kids. The event was pretty cool. They had Toy Story characters, kids music, face painting, and games. Service was ok, I think they were low on staff so but I would say they did a good job with the limited staff they had. We had 5 adults and 3 kids. I ordered the Iron Mule burger and I gotta say it was very good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The whole event, food, service, and atmosphere was all pretty good. The bill though, that's another story. It was over $300. I knew it would be expensive but I didn't think it would be that expensive. The most insulting was the $6 for a cup of coffee. But besides that I enjoyed enjoyed the experience. Besides all that I was disturbed about something I found out while I was there. Apparently they was also hosting drag shows at night. Which isn't a problem, I've been to a drag show before so hosting a drag show isn't an issue for me but with everything going on it makes me wonder, since they're hosting kids events as well, when will they start combining the two events? Now that worries me. The two events shouldn't be going on even at the same venue let alone together. So hopefully they don't get the kids involved in that whole mess. read more

We recently hosted a surprise birthday celebration for my brother. I worked with Kate to make the plans and everything from start to finish was great. The restaurant has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. All of the staff were cheerful and worked to make sure we had everything we needed. Kate put together a lunch menu for our large group to choose from. The food was delicious. We had a large group which included young children and our older family members. The restaurant is handicapped accessible, which we really appreciated. The restaurant has a great view of the canal. I'd love to come back in the summer and sit on the back patio. Tonight was my first time coming to the Iron Mule with my grandmother and Uncle. Our server LeeLee was phenomenal, super accommodating, friendly, truly great service. Our food was amazing as well but the manager Eugene was the most disgustingly disrespectful human being I have ever encountered and he deserves to be fired. He berated our server in front of all the customers over the fact that I asked for a sauce on the side to go with my chicken sandwich. He then came over to our table and picked a fight with us in front of my elderly grandmother because we were comforting LeeLee and trying to tell her she did nothing wrong. He looked completely disheveled with his fly down, I wouldn't be surprised if he was drunk. It was the most absurd experience and never in my life have I met a more disrespectful person let alone a manager. I'm a server myself and am in disbelief of his treatment of staff. As long as Eugene is employed there I will not be returning. The only reason I would ever come back to the iron mule is because of LeeLee's service and the quality of food. read more

GO HERE!!! I am not from PA and went with a friend (also not from PA) to karaoke. We were a little intimidated at first by the fact that it seemed to be in the middle of nowhere but it literally could not have been a better experience! We sat at the bar and the bartender, Sarah, was fantastic! She was so sweet, quick, and helpful to other staff as well. We got the pretzels and two different burgers and it was so good! DJ Zeem was there for Karaoke and was so welcoming and kind PLUS the crowd (which seemed to be mostly locals/regulars) were super supportive, kind and hyped us up all night! Decided to give this place a try on a weeknight when I did not feel like cooking. It ended up being a pretty decent meal for a last minute decision. I was amazed by how close to Easton The Iron Mule is, but it feels like you have escaped the area. The Vibe from this place is complete different form any of the other restaurants in the area. It was still a little early in the year but in the summer the back patio looks like a nice place to eat and enjoy the view of the Delaware. They server traditional American style food, think quality bar food. The food was good but not great, everything had a bit too much salt. The fish and chips were good, I have had better, but I have also had much worse. The cheesesteak was good, but is hard to mess up one up. The star of the show was the Bavarian pretzel, the beer cheese and the mad mustard were great. The drink was strong and flavorful. Overall solid food options with plenty of variety on the menu. My two biggest complaints were the ambiance inside and how loud it was. It was very dimly lit, it gave off a damp, kind of grungy feel. It was also extremely loud, I don't know why they had a DJ on a slow Thursday night. If they improved the lighting and noise I think it would help. Our service was fantastic, everything was clean and tidy. They had plenty of parking. If you are looking for a quick escape from the area I recommend giving this place a try. They were short staffed but it didn't matter because there were only three tables. Food was excellent and fresh and satisfying. I got the Mule, which is a Burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, cheddar cheese, angry mustard, and topped with candied bacon. It was excellent with a side of their house made chips on the side.
