Stopped by for a oil change, as expected they got me in and out in about 15 minutes which is always great. The staff here are fast and friendly and keep you informed about everything. First time here on a Sunday. Grateful that they are open on weekends. I have a preferred place in Germantown, but since these guys had decent reviews and are open on weekend I thought I'd try it. Worth every dollar. I was greeted pleasantly and told to come around the corner. The prices were a shock (20ish mins) ) , but for the speed ($15 mins) and service I'll take it. You can wait in your car or in their lobby which has great AC, comfortable seats, a clean bathroom, is cleanly maintained and has water, coffee, tea, and juice. I saw them take out my cabin air filter before showing me it needs to be replaced. I knew I had not replaced it in years. They checked and filled air in my ties too. My biggest criteria is to have honest mechanics and so far they check that box. There's a camera to see the underside of your car if you like. I appreciate them and will likely come again. read more

I've been going here for years but I'm questioning them now. As these places often do, the upsells are annoying...my filter is always needing replacement, even if I replaced it within the last month. In this most recent case, they lied to me twice...first they wanted a ton of personal information from me, which I declined, and the attendant said, "We have to have it for liability." This is BS. You don't need my email, phone, and home address for "liability". Then, after leaving my oil change I realized I didn't get a proper receipt, only a credit card print out. I went back to get a receipt and they told me: "We are fully paperless." Well, they aren't fully paperless since they gave me a printed credit receipt, and they had given me that "checklist paper" of all they inspected. The real deal is they are trying to trap you to give them your email, address etc. so they can market to you. After some pushback they printed me a receipt. In summary, the upsells are aggravating and not in good faith, and they are now making it difficult just to get an oil change. I am considering going elsewhere unless they reply here and give a good explanation. I give them 3 stars (instead of lower) since for years they have been decent, but between the inaccurate recommendations, and some dubious changes, they are trending down. read more

This review is long overdue. I've been coming here for years. I used to live about 4 miles from this place so it was really convenient. I moved about 20 miles away several years ago and I am still a customer. I never thought that one could have an awesome experience getting an oil change but then there is the Lube Center (idk about the Middlebrook road location). They are so friendly and very professional. They perform their services with the utmost professionalism. I recommended my neighbors to them and they really liked the service and the people too. After moving to the area, I was looking for a reliable, quick place for oil changes and other basic services. This place is a gem! I have always been able to pull right in, and they pull up your info fast, and greet you by name. You have the option of staying in the car and watching the oil change by camera, or you can go inside where there are complimentary beverages. They do the job, though of course try to upsell. You get a free carwash with service. They are also willing to check/ top off fluids between visits, like before a weekend trip. A few weeks after my last change, I noticed some spots on my driveway, and brought it in. They checked, found a gasket that wasn't placed correctly, fixed it and sent me off in 20 minutes! I had a terrible experience in this place.. I decided to have my car checked where I thought it would be worth paying twice as much as a normal check and it turns out that the same day when I returned home I had an alarm that something that the pressure of the tires were not correct but as soon as I got home I called them they were completely deflated... I called and they told me that it was not their problem that maybe I damaged it, then when I managed to take the tire to be repaired they confirmed that the air was coming out of the air nozzle because they handled it incorrectly read more

Absolutely hands down the best auto service ever. They opened EXACTLY on time and began my service immediately. The waiting area was clean and well stocked with coffee and other beverages. The bathroom was clean as well. Jose conducted my service and explained everything to me and answered all my questions. He physically showed me what was wrong with my car and WHY he was recommending additional services. He showed me what the fluids were supposed to look and smell like. I don't know a lot about cars and I really appreciated the clarity. I didn't get everything done that was suggested but I left with a clear plan of what needs to be addressed with my car and I will be back. I also had a great experience with the Fields Rd location. First time going here and they are very thorough. I will say that it was at least double the "10 minutes" they claim it will take. I had time so i didn't say anything about that. I liked the monitor showing everything the guy was doing underneath the car. They recommended i change both my engine air filter and my cabin air filter. Their prices were astronomical! $44.95 for the cabin air filter! I bought it from Rock Auto for $13. Also the manager, Eric, detached something in the process of removing my air filter, and failed to hook it back up. This small oversight had me freaking out as i left, thinking that something was suddenly wrong with my transmission. My engine was revving but i could go more than 20 mph. I called and Eric put the blame on one of the techs. He did send a tech to find me and right the wrong. read more

I used to change out my own oil. But since moving to Maryland, without my own lift anymore, I decided to look around for a good shop. The Lube Center has good service, and great people for oil changes. Had my rear differential changed here once, and came back for the second time to do an oil change.During their routine multipoint inspection, they said I needed to do it again, but I recently had them do it before, so after talking with the manager, they did it again for free. I went to the lube center tonight to get an oil change. This was my first time to this location and I've only ever been to the lube center in Berlin md maybe once. I will definitely be going back to this location off of 355 in Gaithersburg. The guy who helped me tonight was named Erik and him and his coworkers were super friendly and so helpful. I was worried about going here because every time I go to a fast oil change place they try and convince me to get so many other things done. This guy suggested a few things and was able to answer my questions about my truck. He was also able to show me some issues he noticed that my previous mechanic had missed. Now my truck is running so much better and sounds wonderful. I highly recommend this location. I know I'll be a return customer. read more

NEVER EVER GO TO LUBE CENTER!!! I went there to get my oil change for the first time and it turns out that they used a very crappy oil which ruined my engine. Went to get my oil changed here a little over a week ago. The customer service was great! Every member on staff checked to make sure I was ok and offered me refreshments. I was then shown the indoor waiting area which had Dunkin donuts coffee pods, water, juice, and lollipops! ( plenty enough to keep me happy during my wait lol) the technicians are thorough and my car wound up needing a few things replaced. They even went to check at another auto shop for what they didn't have on hand. They also offer an in-between change top off! Very disappointed customer for years I have been a patron of the lube center on Frederick rd in Germantown Md , on 28th of June I'm getting ready to leave for my vacation, I went to the lube center like always to get my car service before I left, which mind you I had to wait for over 45 minutes before they took me in, but that didn't bother me that much, so I was guide in , and told the attendant what I going on long trip and for them to due oil change , and look over to see everything was in order, after now been over 1hour 45 minutes I got up sell for an radiator flush which I agreed and I got it done, and I gotten clear everything looks good, I paid , and left that evening I left on my trip for 8 hours when I got down the road always out I stopped put fill up , and notice an oil residue, checked my oil and I'm down 3 quarts and a paddle of oil under my car, I called the lube center and explain to them that my car running without oil and the answer that I got was " whatttt" then I asked to speak with the manager Maggan, that was there the night before to get serviced I my car, and 400 miles later I had no oil, she immediately informed that they had problems with oil filter that was installed in my car, I told her I have take it in for service to see what was wrong , 600. Later found out that the Cooling line had a leak, the mechanic at the dealer that was very Obvious if someone had checked it , because it was above the tech head , and never told anything but everything is good . When I returned went to the center, but Maggan sick leave , after a week if not two I got a call back from Meghan , telling me that she had spoken with Tom at the repair center where I'm also customer there she was told that is comm on the model of the car that I own , but the point is that it way leaking already, and the tech didn't even bother to let me know, and maybe I would not taken that car and used my wife's car instead and I would not be out of money that I saved for my vacation, so for you that read this and used them for the service of their cart here, be very sure what they tell you is in fact the right info, so you won't get an unexpected bill like I did . read more
