Quick, efficient and hassle free oil change. Five Stars. Noticed this place as I usually go to the Taco Bar next to it. Glad I decided to do my oil change here as they dont try to upsell on services like most auto shops do. It was $100 total for the premium full synthetic (the mid tier option). Service here is deteriorating. Last visit, I came to top off, as they do it for free in between services . Ferb (manager) seemed annoyed . Now, I was the only one in the bay. they didn't have any other customers. No greeting or welcoming like the other staff usually does. I said I'm here for a top off, etc. I popped my hood. He was like your good." Didn't top off anything. I hadn't been there in like 4 or 5 months! I asked if he could add air to my tires since they were low. You would think they would check that too, but no. I expected better for a so-called manager. Ok, my 2nd to last visit.. is what made me givethemm.2.5 stars. Oil change went smooth. However, they will come with a long rap sheet of stuff that you're gonna need. They told me i needed all these non sense flushes, etc. I took it to my mechanic and said no you don't need that ." They never checked my cabin air filter. I thought they were supposed to check that. Oh yeah could told me I Would need my brakes replace. Last. At the time I brought my car in , I had mentioned I had a coupon $15 off. Once they charged me, I saw that they didn't factor in the coupon..the girl laughed and was like, "Oh my bad. We will take it off next time... Im sure I'll get a canned reply on here from the service manager. If you wanna get absolutely ripped off for a car wash with an oil change this is the place for you. I went here after work just needing an oil change. the last time I got one specifically at this place it was not anywhere near $100. this guy showed up to me all nice with the customer service attitude and immediately said boss man to me while conversing around 10 times I don't know what his deal is, but I wouldn't want that guy touching my car let alone with the price tag He gave me of $96 for just an oil change. The oil change I just did here was so quick, I wish I went here sooner! I was probably in and out in 30 minutes, and they were able to also top off some of my fluids and have a pretty thorough inspection in that time. You can even sit in your car while they work (but we went inside so we could get some refreshments). They have a wide variety of oil changes you can do here, I opted for the more basic one this time since I'm going to be doing more intensive maintenance items pretty soon for my older car, but even that included the inspection and a free car wash voucher. The thing I really appreciated most was that you can come in between oil changes to get your air filled or other fluids topped off, so a pretty good value for the oil change as a whole! read more

I've used this location multiple times for an oil change. They are quick at providing services; however, during my last visit they left an oil plug loose which was causing a leak. They give you a printout that they checked different things in your car, but clearly they don't check them all. They have never checked my cabin filter. When I went to get my oil changed at a different place, my cabin filter was black and the technician told me it was the original car filter (it was never changed). Also, sometimes the people that put your information in the computer are unpleasant. I would probably come back here again if I needed an oil change done quickly, but I'd exercise caution. read more

I didn't catch the young lady's name who helped me, but she was very nice and knowledgeable. The team is always professional, so friendly, and super fast. They'll advise you as to whether something needs to be seen by a mechanic or not. And some of their services are even free to customers. They've earned our loyalty. They offer the upsell common to all of these establishments, but they don't push or make a face if you decline. 8/14/20 When I had my Toyota and Volvo, I use to come here to get it serviced. The hole in the floor was pretty scary at times. I felt like my car's tire might accidentally go over the bump an fall in. I have seen this happen with another car and the damage was severe. Still this place at the time had great prices and service was quick and done right. A lot of people I knew had their car serviced here while they did their shopping at Kohl's, Target or Barns and Nobles. If you are feeling hungry and wish to pass the time, Taco Bar is a great place to do this. It is close by and has good quality food. read more

This shop is the reason why I don't take my car to local mechanic shops. It is one of those places that will try to get over on you by adding additional recommended services that you don't need. My simple oil change that should have $64 (with the coupon) became over $170 in services that I know I didn't need. Why would I need my tires rotated if they are brand new tires I just got last month and I haven't driven my car more than 100 miles? The kicker for me was that it was the two women who work there that tried to get over on me. I guess they were upset when I said I wasn't adding those services because when I got in my car to drive away my sunglasses and lug nuts had been taken out of the glove box and thrown on the passenger floor (see picture). When I open the glove box to return these things, I saw they had literally ransacked the glove box. I don't know what they were looking for but I do know that if anything comes up missing I know who did it and if my car suddenly starts acting up I know who is responsible. The two women who worked with me are extremely unprofessional, they will swindle you for your money with a smile, and have no respect for customers property. If you are foolish enough to go get your car serviced there, I recommend staying in your car during the service. read more

Came in on Saturday because my check engine light was on along with a flashing D light. Spent almost 600 on recommended services and they then cleared the light. By the time I drove a few miles home, the light was on again. Emailed and called and got no response so I came back the following Wednesday. Was told the person that serviced my car no longer worked there and they don't do check engine light related repairs and they can't provide refunds. Call into corporate. Same spiel of they don't give refunds and will only reimburse if it is their fault that my light came on. If they would have just said upfront they don't do this work, I would have accepted that and went elsewhere. My issue is they took my money even after I explained to them I couldn't even use their lobby because my son is currently wheelchair bound and as a result getting out of the car isn't safe. Single women and disabled people beware. Update: got a call from Shane the manager. He refused to refund my money and said that I shouldn't have assumed the issue was fixed. He also claimed that he believes the only reason I came in was for an oil change (I didn't need one when I arrived, but added it to the other services I was told I needed) and not the check engine light so any services they recommended were not relevant to my complaint but were from a previous visit (because I had been coming here for years without complaint but I guess keeping a customer after making a mistake isn't a priority). He then shared that the tech that worked on my car was fired for being late but he called him to ask him what actually happened (sure, I answer calls from former jobs all the time) and that I came in with a bad attitude when I talked with the techs the second time. I explained to him that I did record all my interactions with the staff, so I find it hard to believe that this was reported to him. I also made it clear that until I spoke with him, I had no reason to believe the issue wouldn't be resolved because it was likely a mistake. He gave no explanation for why the tech cleared the codes out on my car after servicing the vehicle. He also stated he watched me on camera but the camera has no audio so basically because what happened isn't what they are trained to do, it isn't possible that is what happened. Long story short, I agreed to services under false pretenses and instead of trying to resolve it, he chose to accuse me of being irate and angry and went even further to say I should have known better because the only way to check a transmission is using the computer. (Im not a mechanic, I don't know what's right and what's wrong, I assume that when I come in and say a light is on, they would take it seriously or tell me they can't help.) read more

This place is my go-to for oil changes or any car issues. They're always so courteous, patient, knowledgeable, and organized. I come here so often that I know them and they know me by face. I haven't mastered their names yet. They're usually quick with the service; they always offer to get you some water or apple juice; and you're always welcome to stay in your car as they work on your car. You can watch what they're doing underneath your car via the TV screen by the driver's side (whenever you drive up to the platform). The manager here is also awesome. He has a great personality and is supposedly new. I don't think I ever met the previous manager, but whenever I met him, it was clear that he wanted to make it known that they will provide great customer service under his roof. It was as if he wanted to ensure that I had a great experience at their location. They were already great before he came, and I already loved this place before I met him, but after I met him, it seemed like this place got even better with their customer service, their employee morale, and their general vibe. It's like the employees are happy to be there. Sometimes, the mood of the employees can affect how we perceive their business, as well as our experience with them. Due to their light and happy energy, as well as their expertise and patience, I am always happy to return. I go to no one else for my car services. I am moving to Virginia in a few months, so I will definitely miss them and their services whenever it comes time to leave them. I wish I could bring them with me to Virginia. I hope there's another Lube Center in Arlington/Alexandria that's just as awesome as this location! *Btw, The Lube Center in Laurel doesn't even compare. I hated that location. The Lube Center is an extremely convenient location for me, as I live within walking distance. However, I've had a couple of disappointing experiences and will drive my car further away in the future for more trustworthy service. If you are ONLY seeking an oil change, this is a fine place to go. But, like any other drive-thru lube service a lot of their income comes from upselling you on services that you don't need. Read the recommendations on the timing of services on your vehicle before you go. Knowledge of what is actually needed will save you money at this place. Additionally, every single time I have requested a tire rotation with my service I have received pushback. I cannot think of why this might be except for that it was near the close of business when I have gone for oil changes in the past and perhaps tire rotations are inconvenient to perform. I was told that "tire rotations aren't really necessary if the technician thinks that your wear on your tire is even" and "I'm just trying to save you money, ma'am." Thanks, but I'm aware of the manufacturer's recommendation and Car and Driver's recommendations for the frequency of tire rotations and I don't want to have to fight to have services performed (really, I'm paying for it!) when I take my car for services. My husband experienced the same issue with this place, so it isn't a female customer specific issue. I'll be driving my car further away for services in the future, as I don't feel right taking my vehicle to a place I don't trust. read more

We brought our Acura in for an oil change on Sunday. This was our 1st visit to Lube Center. I called prior to coming to get a sense for how busy it was. The call was handled very professionally and pleasantly by Abby. When we arrived, Jose immediately came to the car and greeted us. He explained the process and invited us to use the waiting lounge or to remain in the car while the work was done. The young man who directed us into the bay, Darnnel I believe, was also quite pleasant and welcoming. The lounge was clean and well stocked with drinks. This location is the worst! I came in for an oil change and they didn't put the metal oil splash protector back on correctly. So when I drove it going to funeral, the bottom metal came off and started scraping the floor. I had to stop over and get help to get this fixed. This is an important thing to do correctly and now I am having to pay $400+ to get this fixed because of their mistake. On top of that they pushed me to get an unnecessary service that I kept saying I didn't need. They added it to my bill anyways and it was an extra $300 dollars. When I wanted it off they said they already did it. Save your money and your car and do not come here! read more
