Don't ever bother coming here if you aren't white. The bartenders will ignore you. The food people will treat you like your a criminal. Had an aweful experience last night. As some others have said the place is not well kept and can be very dirty. I know you could say "but it's a club" but when you see a restroom that has up everywhere and it's been that way for an hour or so and people are still using it, you'd think otherwise. The bar staff is okay, often times they are not paying attention to you if you aren't the same skin color. This is not a very friendly PoC place and you can really tell where their crowd comes from. Wouldn't recommend for a place to check out in East Sixth. You can find better. read more

This place is absolutely my go to bar to go in Austin ! Sunday's are my favorite day to go because they have an outdoor patio area where they have live music playing and serve 2$ mimosas!! They have a food truck in their outdoor area and the food is amazing ! I always get their pulled pork loaded fries which you can go wrong with. The outdoor area is super spacious . Cute little food truck inside of The Lucky Duck. The fries were really good, definitely crispy and flavorful. I will say the pulled pork fries were a little spicy but I enjoyed it! The chicken tenders were pretty good, though I could have used a little more seasoning. The Duck is the absolute best dive bar off of this side of 6th. Worth getting lost in the crowd on a Saturday night.

We decided to give The Lucky Duck a try on Halloween Sunday, and although it was crowded, they genuinely had THE NICEST staff we have ever encountered on East 6th!! They had some of the best prices for the area too, and their draft cocktails were great! They have a large selection inside, as well as a second bar out back, and a resident food truck. There are arcade games, and plentiful seating. They have a large multi-screen tv set up out back for football, and even though there was a DJ playing, it was not overwhelmingly loud. We didn't go for their signature mimosa bucket, but nearly everyone that walked by was carrying one! They are very dog friendly, and even in the craziness, the bartender inside made sure our pups were taken care of. The bathroom situation was a little awkward because there are tables directly next to them, and they were nothing short of disgusting, but I'll chalk it up to being a holiday. We would certainly consider coming back again! read more

Absolutely loved this place! Me and my fiancé walked here while waiting on our reservation for the ramen shop Ramen Tatsu-ya down the road. If you like rubber ducks, friendly staff, and a chill environment this is the place for you. Be aware they do card you before you enter. Once inside take a chance on the rubber duck claw machine! There are two bars you can order from, one inside and one out back. Outside there is a great photo booth and other arcade style games to play. Additionally, they have a food truck to order food from parked out back. The drinks were good and the atmosphere fun, definitely a great place to kill time. read more

During the day there's a food truck parked on the property and there's plenty of outdoor patio seating. On Sundays you can always find something going on and they have live music. Terrible experience. The bar had very little available beers and long lines made a small space feel even more cramped. This isn't a place to have a relaxing Sunday, it's crowded and you'll spend more time waiting for a drink than enjoying your company. Also, we went for their crawfish boil and they picked a terrible crawfish boil partner. There was a total lack of flavor in every single piece of crawfish. There also is nothing else in the boil, no corn, no potatoes, no sausage, no mushrooms, no onions nothing that actually helps flavor a boil. This was particularly disappointing because the actual size of the crawfish were very impressive but when there's no flavor it's a total bust. The good news is it was a free boil but certainly disappointing and not worth the wait at all. While the east side is certainly not what it used to be this bar is not a place I will return to. There are still plenty of better bars to relax with a cold beverage on a hot day in east Austin. read more
