We absolutely love the Lulus Montessori! The staff is amazing with the kids and they get an amazing education. We are always surprised by how much they learn and how much fun they have. We've been taking our son to Lulus Montessori since he was about 18 months, and it has been the best daycare/preschool experience we could have hoped for. The teachers are incredibly loving and thoughtful. I especially love the fact that they celebrate birthdays and holidays and create opportunities for parents to get to know each other, too. My child has grown by leaps and bounds, and his interactions with the other children are fun to see. The fact that meals are provided (bfast, lunch and snacks) is a godsend. Several daycares/preschools in the region claim to be Spanish immersion but aren't actually (e.g., they speak English to the kiddos). At Lulus, I feel like we get a truly authentic Spanish immersion program for our son, knowing instruction is exclusively in Spanish. And it shows. My son 100% understands Spanish when it is spoken to him and he mixes Spanish and English in his vocabulary regularly. I credit Lulus for a large part of that bilingual ability and look forward to seeing his fluency improve in the years to come. Highly recommend Lulus!! read more

My son has been attending Lulus for almost a year now and I couldn't be happier. He loves going every morning, the girls are so attentive and loving with him and it shows when I drop him off and he runs straight into their arms. He has never been upset at pick up and his vocabulary has grown extensively, he even counts from 1-6 and knows some colors and he is only 2. Our daughter has been going to this school for a little over a year starting when she was a little over 2 years old. Before school she stayed at home with her abuela so this is her first school or daycare experience. She is thriving. She's learning in English and Spanish in a Montessori environment. Her personality and social skills have flourished. Most importantly, it's obvious to us that her teachers truly care about her. I thought it would be hard to leave her at school but I'm so confident she's in good hands that I don't worry about her at all. I love that we don't have to pack meals or snacks because that's all provided. In fact, because of the environment and the fact that all the kids eat the same thing, she has become much more open to trying new foods. The teachers were instrumental in helping her become potty trained. Lulu's is like a family and we are so grateful to be there. read more

At Lulu's you get a family! When I first inquired I knew that it would be a great fit for my daughter. From day one all staff at Lulu's has taken time to get to know my daughter and helped her feel at home. My daughter eats independently, sleeps everyday and is speaking Spanish to me more often! I was one of those parents who thought people were crazy for asking if I was on a preschool wait list when my baby was only 6 months old. When he turned 18 months and I went to check out various places around San Diego I found that I was too late. Many schools took "application" fees from me but then never responded to my inquiry or responded a over a year later. My mantra to parents of first babies now is: start early and don't pay to get on a list! My older son attended a preschool a friend recommended (that was part of a larger private school) starting at age 2, and the October after he got in, I got a response from Miss Lulu about her program, that there was space available in October. I was so excited I almost pulled him out of school. The director, Miss Lulu, had been so nice in our email exchange, I felt she really understood our family's needs for early bilingual education. But he had just started to get used to the school he was in and my intuition told me not to interrupt the flow. Fast forward to spring of that same school year, March 2020. Now I had a new 6 week old baby, a husband who worked 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week, and a very active 21/2 year old whose school was shutdown for the pandemic. After a long spring and summer of pandemic stress and being home with them both, I was beyond ready for some help. Miss Lulu's had spaces available after much shuffling due to the pandemic. What a relief! Miss Lulu's has been a godsend for our family. The teachers are kind, well educated, and great at their jobs. The school is a family environment, that gives kids the social skills and learning skills needed for kindergarten. My older son is highly emotional, active, and slow to warm up to other kids. He now refers to the other students at Miss Lulu's as his brothers and sisters. He loves it there, and is excited to share his Spanish vocabulary with his dad who is a native speaker. The previous school was open from 815-315 and you had to get there on time, which i found very stressful. At that school i had to pack lunches everyday and bring a snack for the whole class once a month, and I had to wash the sheets each week. Miss Lulu's is "full service" which means less stress for the parents. No lunches to pack, no sheets to wash. They do it all. They even wash their school water bottles and keep them full for them. The kids all eat the same meal, encouraging them to try new foods. My older son loves cabbage now, and other veggies he would never try at home. I found my son ate a lot more packaged foods when I was packing his lunch, now he eats hot meals that are nutritious. Now his little brother goes with him to Miss Lulu's and they both love it. I love that the mixed ages program lets them be together and learn from each other in a dynamic way. When I picked up my kids after little brother's first day he said "I have fun at school mom!" I was so impressed with how well he did. They are open from 730-6, which is a huge help for working parents. I always recommend the program to friends, and now our best friend neighbor kiddos attend with them. Miss Lulu is always immediately available via text and they have private classroom photo sharing app so you can see what the kids are up to at school. This very long, but my love for this place cannot be expressed in less words! read more

My son started at Lulu's Montessori about 7 months ago and we have noticed a huge increase in his confidence and Spanish skills as well as in his creativity since going to this school. He loves it and is always happy to be dropped off. The care and attention he gets at Lulu's is superb; we love the curriculum as it's child-focused and to us, with a sensitive son, that is very important. Miss Lulu and her staff are wonderful! My son was in two other preschools before this one and this by far was the best. They take such great care of the children my son never wanted to leave when I would come pick him up. They make it so easy for the parents all you have to do is show up, providing breakfast snack and lunch took a lot of the burden off me as a parent. He learned so much from his peers and the teachers and I could tell when he would get home from the colors he could identify to his speech and the skills he acquired. Our little girl just graduated from Lulu's and she's very well prepared for kindergarten - she can write her name, knows her colors, numbers, and alphabet. Our little boy is still enjoying his second year at Lulu's - they are currently learning about the solar system; he can name all the plants, in Spanish and English! Ms Lulu creates a community, not just a school. Some of the children and their parents are now some of our closest friends. All the teachers are like second parents to our kids - they're wonderful! And thanks to the wonderful cooking of Ms Laura both our children eat salad and vegetables with no fuss. Ms. Lulu is incredible! She creates a fun, loving, nurturing, and safe environment. My daughter is 4 and started going to Lulu's over the Summer so we've been here for 3 months. This is our 3rd preschool and by far the best experience I could have asked for. The Spanish immersion is done in a fun way for the kids and my daughter has come home singing songs in Spanish. The teachers and owner, Miss Lulu, is incredibly accessible and responsive. Don't trust the center. I took my son a few yrs ago when he was 3. under her care he got severely hurt. Staff claimed he ran into a door. He had a hematoma on his forehead, and his lip was blue, head trauma. yet no staff bothered to call us nor send him to the ER for medical attention. Lack of supervision. My son has been attending Lulu's Montessori since September 2017. I was searching for a place near my work or my mother's house. I could not be happier somewhere else. As a teacher, there are a lot of things I look for and this place checked all the boxes. As a new mother in a new state I was nervous about absolutely EVERYTHING. Mrs LuLu made all that anxiousness and fear just melt away. My daughter fell in love with her and later Mrs. Denise. She learned her numbers and ABC's in English and in Spanish all before the age of 2! Mrs LuLu is not only a great caregiver but a great person who was there for me when I had questions from home about my daughter. 5++++ Stars! Where do I begin? Lulu's Montessori is an amazing place. Unfortunately, my little guy has been in day care since he was 9 weeks old. I have had him enrolled in some of the "best" and ....most expensive daycares in San Diego, but it was not until he started at Lulu's that he actually began to love going to school. He LOVES LOVES LOVES Miss LuLu & Miss Denise. Most days he does not even say goodbye to us when we drop him off because he is so excited to be at school and there has been more than one occasion when he actually cried hysterically when I came to pick him up....much to my dismay! He is now 15 months old. He says "thank you", he picks up his own toys, he sits still and listens to lessons, he eats his meals with no fuss, he loves to share.....in short, Miss Lulu & Miss Denise have transformed my son into an amazing little boy.
