Gluten Free Chicken Salad Wrap with Tomato Basil Soup and Chips
    Kimberly P.

This place is so nice! You sit out on an enclosed deck, and makes you feel like you're in Pigeon Forge. The owner is very nice, and she has come out and spoken to me both times that I've eaten there when she found out that I eat Gluten Free. She explained to me everything that they have to offer that's GF, modifications they make, and cross contamination precautions they take. This is a huge deal if you have a food allergy, and not many places take this much care. The first time I went, I had GF waffles with whipped cream and berries, and I wish I had taken a pic. My chicken salad wrap and soup were both amazing, admins I can't wait to go back.

My friends and I wanted some different to try for dinner one evening and decided to schedule reservations. Our table was outside on the charming patio. It's decorated part shabby chic, part antique shop. It's an eclectic mix of styles that fit perfectly with the aesthetic of the place. I ordered mozzarella cheese appetizer, a turkey club, and most of my friends ordered the chicken salad on croissant. The food was fresh and tasted delicious! Bread was fresh, bacon was fried perfectly, and the turkey and ham were ok. I'm partial to good quality (Boars Head, Dietz and Watson and Private Selection) so the lunch meat was just ok. But it made for an overall good sandwich. The mozzarella appetizer was probably my favorite. They were fried crispy in panko with a delicious marinara. My friends said the chicken salad was great. Items were served with chips, my only complaint would be that french fries would be available. The house is beautiful, wait staff were friendly and the overall experience was wonderful! I would highly recommend the restaurant.

I was in line tonight and with another person in front of me and the clock struck 8:00 and the young woman at the counter literally told us, "Sorry, that was the last customer. We close at 8." I've never been in line at a counter business in my life and been turned away because of hours. Second, the sandwiches here made with overly thick bread but the meat portions are paper thin. These are not sandwiches, they are bread with a hint of meat. I always get the pizzas here as thst is all they offer that is worthwhile. Unfortunately, though, there is... Third, they haven't changed the menu since they opened. It's bee. the same damned options for the past few years! People say they have a favorite (always pizza) at Fuel and that's because they can never get a new option. This is a lazy business that had a great beginning but one which doesn't listen to its customers at all. They've been told about the hours, the fat bread, and the lack of new options by many people, and they feign a politeness that tells you that they don't value your opinion. It gets by because it's in a town with few options and even fewer new ones.

This hidden gem did not disappoint! On the outside it's a little quirky, in the bestest way, it probably used to be an old service station that they converted. They had outside seating/patio area for us and our dogs to sit at. Our server was Jana, she was amazing! Straight away she came out with two bowls of water for our girls. I ordered the Dolly, with extra bacon and the house made potato chips. I also ordered a side of the potato salad as well as ordering their six dips*. My wife also ordered the Dolly but with their crinkle cut fries. We both agreed that the Dolly was amazingly delicious!! The house made potato chips were cooked to perfection, perfectly seasoned and went very well with any of the dips. The crinkle cut fries were crispy and well seasoned. We both enjoyed the mom's deviled egg potato salad and couldn't stop eating it! I enjoyed all of the dips, and my wife's favorites were the Dill dip, Jana's roasted garlic and onion, and the Appalachian Goddess. We were too full to eat them at the restaurant so we purchased two cookies to go-the fruity pebbles white chocolate chip and the cinnamon toast pumpkin. If you're ever in the area I highly recommend stopping here-ask for Jana, she's amazing. She was very attentive to us, and a cat lover! We would definitely stop here again if we're ever in the area!! They do have a very small parking area but we had no issues with parking.
