    Pretzel Flight

Let me start off by saying this is more of a bar, than restaurant. While there are tables in both the "restaurant" area and bar area, it has an if you're looking for a drink and maybe want to eat too we do that, but it's not the first thing you think about. My husband and I were expecting a restaurant from what the reviews said. If you're looking for bar bites with your drinks then this is ideal. My husband I don't really drink often, so this wasn't for us. We ordered mozzarella sticks, and pretzel bite flight for apps, they were tasty. I got a chicken caesar wrap, and my husband had the chicken finger platter. My wrap was okay, my husband didn't enjoy the chicken fingers (more breading than chicken). Given the atmosphere, and average food, I highly doubt I'd return to this establishment.

My daughter and I were in the mood for wings and was suggested to check out the Pub awhile ago and heard there wings were very good. If you like wings give this pub a try. They are very crispy and tasty. It's in our local area and 1st time for everything. They have a variety of 13 different sauces to choose from and our server was very helpful and pleasant. I also tried the tuna melt which was very good. They serve it with lettuce and tomato but I opted out on the tomato's as I'm not a fan of them. The sandwich comes with fries and for only $8. Prices here are very reasonable and they also have bands playing on the weekend. I think they serve food until 11pm. Great place to check out.

FREE BREAKFAST with the purchase of an alcoholic beverage??!! Sign us up!!! Fast friendly service and a very tasty breakfast! My husband got the BLT which was $2.50 with the purchase of a beverage, and I got the breakfast and added sausage, for a grand total of $3 for my meal. We are not locals, just in the area, and we were greeted and served very promptly and treated like friends. Also this place is deceivingly large inside, from the outside it looked tiny. Definitely worth it!

Back in the olden days we used to hit this place. It was next to the bowling alley and was known as J.Fitches pub. Walk in there now and it's pretty much the same vibe. No complaints here, I liked J Fitches too. Deep fried green beans with a wasabi dip. Pretzel bites. Deep fried corn nuggets. The apps were up to snuff. Had a BLT. Tasted like a BLT, and the kettle chips on the side rocked. The weakest link? That would be the wings. On the sog side, tossed about in a mediocre sauce. Crisp em up guys. Ambience wise we had an older crowd. A live band of rotating bandmates was playing Stevie NIcks and Johnny Cash songs on the loud side, which was ok because we dont want the older crowd nodding out in their beer. The waitstaff and crew were friendly, fast ,and efficient, making everyone feel welcome. I could see coming back with a crew of our own and pounding a few Helles Awaits brews, maybe play a game of pool, and grab a guitar and jump in with the band. Go there.

I came here with a group of friends after a wedding because it was pretty close to the hotel where my friends were staying and they had a band. We piled around a small table in the bar and a waitress came right over to take drink and food orders. She then located a large table in the dining area and suggested we could sit there and she'd bring our order over. The band was great, and they brought my friend on stage to play the tambourine with them which totally made her night and was pretty amusing for us. I tried to find them on social media, but no luck. We had a lot of fun and never had to worry about refilling our drinks because our waitress was very attentive

From the moment we arrived, the front desk area felt disorganized and overcrowded. The young hostesses were not very welcoming and didn't greet guests with a smile or provide direction on where to stand or wait, which made the entrance experience awkward and chaotic. There is no bathroom downstairs so you would have to go upstairs for the restrooms The restaurant was offering a $70 prefix menu, which honestly did not feel worth the cost. For that price, you only received soup or salad, an entrée, and dessert. I really think an appetizer should have been included considering the price point, especially for a special occasion like Mother's Day. We were seated downstairs near the kitchen, and it was extremely warm and uncomfortable down there during the meal. On a positive note, the service itself was fairly quick, and our waiter was very attentive and friendly, which was appreciated. Overall though, the atmosphere, organization, and value for the money left us disappointed. This did not include drinks and automatic gratuity was included in the bill since we had a party of 6.

I think it is relatively new (change from another restaurant in the same location)? Plenty of parking, both in front & in the back of the building. Food was very good. Stronger coffee (which I prefer). My husband & I both had omelettes. The omelettes are made with 3 eggs & come with toast & potatoes. Indoor (two sides, one w bar) and outdoor seating (in nice weather). So, I tried the cheeseburger with a side of fries. Advertised as 8 ozs. It was very good, not great. Definitely a patty, and also did not have that charbroiled taste. Bun was substantial, and held the cb well. Fries were very good. For me, the price point was slightly high, more in line with what a pub might charge. Lots of choices on the menu, and some interesting breakfast options. I also liked the happy hour listings. Service very good. So, overall, I am a fan. 4 stars

We both ordered the veggie omelet which came with country potatoes and toast- we both had rye. All of it was hot and delicious! I had really wanted to try the poutine but I am a vegetarian and sadly, they don't offer it with a mushroom gravy, which I found at two poutine places in Quebec City. I guess there are not enough vegetarians asking for it around here. I gotta say it was super loud in here as the place was packed with a large group. I enjoy a lively atmosphere but it was just too much. I found myself wanting to rush to get out of there as the noise was overwhelming while eating breakfast. I prefer to ease into my day. I can't fault the restaurant for that. It's obvious people love this place and I do too!

Upon entering, we found the wait staff chatting with each other at the seats or serving the handful of customers in the dining room. Decor was heavily coffee influenced-- from the wallpaper to the wall art, it's obvious a cup of joe plays a role here. We ordered a smattering of breakfast dishes and of course, two of the poutine dishes. Overall the food was just ok, not memorable. The pancakes had a nice texture but were largely flavorless; maple syrup helped somewhat but that ended up being the only flavor. Eggs were serviceable, potatoes were fine. The poutine was okay. I've had much better in Canada. Theirs felt like a beef based gravy out on top of French fries, with pockets of cheese curds, which were the better part of the meal. The Quebecois poutine was better, with added ham & veggies to add some complexity. The downside of our visit came as we approached their closing hour of 2pm. The crew started cleaning up and vacuuming around us as we were still eating before close. I had a single cup of coffee, and when I asked for a refill, the waitress apologized and said they poured it out because it was getting close to closing time. Ironic, considering the amount of pro-coffee memorabilia around the restaurant. We hadn't even hit closing but pouring out the coffee while a table was still eating didn't cross anyone's mind. (Nor cleaning around us, passively encouraging us to leave.) The coffee wasn't removed from the bill in recognition that maybe they made a mistake. Overall.. eh. I was hoping for more, but it is what it is. I'm sure it's fine for the regulars, but this wasn't worth the long trip for what I was hoping was a callback to Quebec faire, in Connecticut.

And possibly an issue with the bartenders ( not being available) but they were able to figure that out thankfully by the 11 am show . So a lot of issues .. the show itself was amazing . The food was okay . I did end up getting the grilled chicken sandwich which was good ( nothing amazing ) and the fries were plain no seasoning . 3/5 for the food . The drinks were good ! I ordered the strawberrry Hugo spritz that had elderflower in it which I really enjoyed all flavours were balanced equally (4/5 ) and then I tried the peach hard palmer which I was not a fan off (3/5 ) Drag show 10/10 !
