I use to highly recommend the small Venezuelan hole in the wall with great pastry and savory options. However, the service is not worth it. For example today I came by myself walked inside to ask if I could sit at the empty tables outside. The server came a few minutes after with a menu, I tried to make it easy so I said "I am just having chicken tenders and a cup of water please". She said "great so you've been here before". After 10 minutes of sitting alone I walked inside and politely asked for a cup of water. She responded "it's free I'll bring it when I'm ready". So I went back outside sat by myself and a gentlemen sat him self and ordered an espresso. The server made his espresso brought it to him while I am still sitting on the hot side walk without a cup of water. She brought the cup of water while I was getting up to leave. At this point it had been 17 minutes. I told her I was leaving and she said I have to stay for the chicken tenders. I said I would have loved to but the lack of service and disrespect made me loose my appetite. She then went on to call me "Pathetic". I didn't respond I've been in the restaurant industry for 27 years have a quite successful restaurant here in Miami Beach. I don't know the servers name she never told me. But if anyone "owners or investors" want to look into the matter I highly recommend it. She had dark curly hair, was over wait and wearing glasses. Calling a guest"/paying customer "Pathetic" is unacceptable.

Today, while waiting for something to print at Office Depot, I was searching for a nearby brunch spot when it popped up in my search & I'm so glad I did! First of all, the place is absolutely adorable. It was a packed Sunday morning around 11 a.m. Only one tiny table was left inside, though there were a couple outside too. Honestly, on a beautiful Miami morning, I wouldn't have minded sitting outdoors at all. What really stood out, though, was the service. Gabriela, our hostess and waitress, was wonderful. Warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind with a huge smile. She walked us through the menu, answered questions about dishes I didn't recognize (it's a Venezuelan spot, after all), and made us feel completely taken care of. Even more impressive was that she seemed to be the only waitress on duty yet never came across as flustered or hurried or anything other than pure sunshine! I ordered my longtime favorite, the arepa perica, just like I used to when I worked nearby, along with a fresh-squeezed orange juice and a chicken empanada to try. My father ordered the desayuno criollo. Everything was absolutely delicious. The presentation was beautiful, the plating thoughtful, and the flavors delivered across the board. The space was lively and full of families, making it a great Sunday brunch spot. Everything was spotless, and I don't usually call that out because it should be a given, but the restroom was impressively clean. Like extra clean. I also just learned they have multiple locations now, which is amazing. Well deserved. I can't wait to go back, and I wish them continued success.

I placed an order online through their website and drove to pick it up only to find out that their own website listed the wrong address for this location that Apple Maps has the wrong hours for. What a mess! By the time I got to the wrong address and called to figure out what was going on, my food had been sitting for 30 min and I was still 15 min away from the right address + 25 min to where I was staying. I had ordered arepas, empanadas and ceviche. When I finally arrived to pick up I asked for the food to be remade specially the ceviche since I didn't feel comfortable eating something raw after it seating on the counter for over an hour due to their mistake. There was push back but they finally agree to re make the ceviche only. However the rest of the food was cold by the time we ate it. Very disappointing. Food was ok, not amazing or memorable

One time, I had a mix-up with the menu when ordering a pepito--I misunderstood how it was labeled--but the team handled it immediately and with zero hesitation. They were kind, understanding, and quickly made me a new order without any hassle. That level of care really stood out to me. On top of that, the quality of the food is next level. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, flavorful, and made with attention to detail. The atmosphere is just as impressive. The space has a fun, energetic vibe that fits perfectly with Wynwood, making it a great spot to hang out and enjoy a meal. What really makes it special, though, is the staff--everyone is always smiling, welcoming, and genuinely seems happy to be there. That kind of positive energy says a lot and makes the whole experience even better. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better service--definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to.

We also ordered the beef soup, which could have used a bit more flavor, and the Holiday plate, which was okay but not something that stood out. The double cheeseburger and an arepa were also just okay and probably not dishes we'd order again. Unfortunately, we also ordered the pepito mixto, but it never arrived because our waiter forgot to place the order. Service overall was a bit slow, and the atmosphere felt a little quiet--some music would really help improve the ambience. That said, the salad, plantains and juices alone would bring us back. We'd definitely return for those.

I was in the neighborhood to get a badly needed haircut while visiting from the Bay Area for work and next door on the corner on an otherwise unassuming street is this solid legit Cuban sammie and coffee place. Locals galore sitting outside sipping strong Cuban coffee and eating Sammie's and empanadas. Who am I to argue with the locals. They definitely steered me right on this one. The Cubano was stuffed with moist roasted pork and ham with pickles and melted cheese. The spicy garlicky green sauce that comes with it could make an old shoe delicious ! The coffee was spot on and that roasted pork and plantain empanada also hit the proverbial spot. All in with tax and tip for $25 I was stuffed full and now remarkably fluent in Spanish ! Located a couple of blocks off a major road (Washington Ave.), Las Olas Cafe felt like a hole-in-the wall neighborhood joint - a team of off-duty police officers were enjoying their dinner inside the restaurant, and families were eagerly lined up at the to-go window outside the restaurant. As I waited in line to order, I perused the menu, which included breakfast items, coffee, and a variety of sandwiches. Even though there were only a couple of customers ahead of me in line, each meal was made-to-order before the next order was taken. This meant that the staff prepared about half a dozen coffees, a couple of smoothies, and several meals before it was my turn to order. When I finally placed my order for a Cubano sandwich, I waited about 20 minutes for my food to be prepared. My sandwich was served piping hot, and I eagerly took my food to go so I could enjoy it at the beach nearby. Despite the wait (about an hour from the time I arrived at the cafe despite the short line), my food was delicious. The sandwich was stuffed with crispy shredded pork and ham, and a generous amount of mustard, melted cheese, and pickles pulled it all together.
