They went thru my clothing/purses, took what they wanted and gave the rest back to me. Policy is they get 60%, you get 40%. (typically it is the opposite, seller gets the 60%). They did not give me a receipt of what they kept of mine. When I went to pickup my unsold items, I was absolutely sick at the commission I received. I gave them NWT (last years items) lilly Pulitzer dresses, tops, skorts, Coolibar skort/coverups, Wooden Ship sweater, Betsy Johnson dress, etc, all name brand items, I asked for a receipt of my sold items and unsold items, they answered "we don't have a printer". more iThey could not/would not give me a receipt of what sold and for how much. (this is a service available on every consignment software, they were very honest and said they did not want to do that for their consignors). Manually we went through some of the sold items. NWT L.P, dress, retail $148, I received $15. Wooden Ships, retail $145, received $11. etc. Several of my items were not on my inventory, and several items on my account were not mine, I received $236 for a batch of great and varied name brand items for consignment (total retail value $1200.00 consigned) Their lack of record keeping/accounting is a sign of not being organized and more importantly not honest with their consignors. Premium fur (mink, rabbit, racoon..) and leather chaps at affordable prices. Authentic single stitched vintage shirts, 70's bomber jackets, matrix trenches. You name it, its here. It is a shop full of statement pieces. I think the only downside of this shop is that there is no silver or gold, all jewelry is costume grade. We had the honor of meeting the owner, a traveling musician who had accumulated some of the stock over his journey. His name escapes me, but he also assured me that he wouldn't remember my name so it'd be ok. He was hilarious and I highly recommend chatting him up if you stop by. Two days later I went to return them with store receipt and tags in place so I obviously didn't wear them. I was told I could not return them as all jewelry was non returnable. I was not aware of this. Also there was a sign facing the back of the store which I did not see with merchandise return policy. Clothing can be returned but I didn't see the very end of the notice which said all jewelry was not returnable. I am very careful to wait a day or so to buy anything that isn't returnable to make sure I want to keep it. But I was not aware that jewelry is not returnable. Even though I went to the Judith Voss website and if I had purchased the earrings there, I could return them. Buyer beware!! Small print on the receipt at the bottom said all jewelry was not returnable. I have been a shopper for many years but have never encountered not being able to return full price, not final sale, jewelry. It would have been nice if the sales people could at least alert me of this policy. Irresistables will not get my business again. They have lost a customer. So I have to give them the lowest star possible.
