Why are you sleeping on The Mansion in Melbourne??? If you are you are missing out!! I'll admit I don't get there as often as I would like being I live in the North part of the county, but every time we have been there it has not been a disappointment. We visited this evening for dinner and had a great time! The food and drinks were so good not to mention the amazing selection of bourbon that is available. They also have a cellar where they sell a variety of wine and spirits. We came here looking for something particular and our server took the time to go to the cellar while we were eating to find it for us. We have attended holiday events here over the years as well and it was always a treat. I have seen posts about the atmosphere we sat outside and really enjoyed it. Please check this place out. Reasonably priced for the portions, great presentation, service and quality.

The Mansion in Melbourne is such a unique spot! Downstairs is a liquor store that also hosts wine tastings and a variety of events, which I thought was a really cool touch. Out back, there's a restaurant space you can rent for birthdays, weddings, or other special occasions, and upstairs has a beautiful restaurant with outdoor seating. The service was on point, and we both ordered burgers--they were absolutely amazing. Great atmosphere, versatile spaces, and delicious food make this place a must-visit!

Gem for the food lovers, outstanding flavors and ambience. Locals paradise with unparalleled service and attentiveness. Plates are served with so much care and pride. We had appetizer bruschetta that was out of this world in addition to grilled salmon and fish and chips.

Well, the food was good.... We went for Thanksgiving. I was asked, when making the reservation if we could walk upstairs. That did not clue me in... I just figured that there was an upstairs area without Ada assistance. Instead.... Our walk to the table took us through storage and trash areas. See the pictures. The dining area....omg. See the pics. It still looks like a spare bedroom. The ceiling is falling in! There's black mold around the vent. My back was to a closet covered by a curtain. Service. They tried, but, were woefully understaffed. There were dirty plates stacked in the floor. The drinkware was plastic. The Mai ti tasted like blackberry. The Long Island ice tea tasted like lemon juice. My old fashioned was just whiskey on the rocks with an orange slice. We ordered the pretzel appetizer. Cheese was good, but the pretzel was a hoagie roll. When the server brought dinner, she thumped the plates on the other side of the table. I got up and moved them to where we were sitting. I asked for a glass of wine... it came with our check. I can't say I'll be back. Seeing the dirty plates on the floor and holes in the ceiling was just horrid. Seeing other patrons get rained on as they sat outside was terrible. I had been charged $10 just to make the reservation. Overall, 4 drinks and 2 dinners was about $120, not including reservation fee and tip. Overall, it was just sad. Very sad.

This is a classic location in Melbourne.right before you go over the causeway. Somewhat tuck away between the hustle of the near by traffic, this place offers somewhat of an easy going, beachy feel with a touch of class. Connected next door is a spot unknown to me for years which is a curated collection of whiskies and some named after the Masion. Try the flights in the restaurant or bar to Know which is your favorite and take the bottle home. Food wise nothing was a huge hit for me but service was attentive.

Warm Apple cobbler à la mode

The two gentlemen on the rooftop were so helpful and really nice. They knew every aspect of the menu, the beverages and made the visit that much more welcoming. The Apple cobbler à la mode was epic! The view was nice and, after sunset, the breeze was fantastic. We didn't want to leave. We will be back.

This restaurant is tucked away a little off the beaten path. There's an outdoor part, and an indoor tavern/sports area part. We sat in the tavern but by the time we left, the outdoor part was filled. Wait staff was incredibly attentive and we had our server and the bartender check on us multiple times throughout the evening. My husband got the salmon which was very delicious and I got the chef burger. Side note: it doesn't come cut, I cut it myself. The chef burger was a special and it was delicious. Good fries too. I recommend this spot for a nice evening!

Good food in a nice setting with great water views from the rooftop deck. Service was excellent with a friendly and responsive waiter. I had the New York Strip steak which had an excellent presentation but the steak and sauce just tasted ok so I wouldn't get that again.

Came in with the a group on Friday around 1830 with reservations. Sat inside which was really nice. The room was somewhat private with nice decor. Service was really good and the restaurant overall had really nice ambiance. Got the fish tacos, it was ok. It was basically a perfectly seasoned fish in a tortilla. It came with beans, pico de gallo, cheese, cabbage slaw, jalepenos and brownish guacamole. I also got an old fashioned that came mixed with ice chips, smh. Classy place like this should provide a block ice but apparently it was an upcharge for a dollar. The cellar and spirits room is a must visit. They got some rare labels in there and I thought decently priced. Overall, good spot...def recommend!

Great local spot in downtown Melbourne. The food is always excellent especially the appetizers! One of the best views in the area if you sit on top of the roof! Staff is always super friendly. The only negative I have is sometimes it has taken a while to get our food.

I am writing this review knowing I will be back and my opinion of the food was subject to me being on a special diet at the time. So I will absolutely be doing a revision the moment I go back if the experience is better. Also if you're going to get drinks it's a 10/10 and you can get some pretty nice bottles of liquor from their cellar. We stopped by with some friends to grab a lunch and catch up. I was doing a rather strict diet and had to be rather choosy about what to order. In the past Melbourne has actually been a rather easy city to stick to a diet in because I can find some healthy but extremely tasty options. I ordered the Falafel sandwich with no tzatziki with a side of sautéed spinach. The falafel didn't have tons of flavor and I know that's what the tzatziki would have helped but I've had better falafel. The spinach was good and had some garlic and salt and pepper which added to enhance the flavors. The service was fine but it took a while to order and then get our check. In full confession I have been back to Mansion since this visit but I went for the roof top bar and a drink which were fantastic in fact every "zone" of Mansion has its own vibe and all are great!

    Pork chop special
    Edita P.

We've been coming here for years during our vacation, but this time we were disappointed with the service and food. I would give less than 2 stars, but we had good experience in the past and I'm hoping it's a one time thing. Our server wasn't very friendly, but another guy who brought out the food was great. I had margarita and it tasted very sour and almost like pure lime juice... margarita is my choice of cocktail, and I usually get a little buzz from one drink, but this did nothing to me. I also had pork chop special that came with mashed potatoes and green beans. I hated how green beans tasted as they were very acidic and salty . I decided to eat the rest of the dish, but I should have returned it to the kitchen. The pork was cooked the way I asked, but it was extremely salty (I'm the one who likes a lot of salt, but this was too much). We had a big family dinner and other people mentioned their food being very salty and Caesar salad dressing being so salty that they couldn't eat.

They have the hot griddles built into the tables so that you can make your own pancakes which is what they're known for. We didn't have to wait for a table and the service was pretty quick. I started with a blood orange mimosa (only $6.95) and it was a very generous size. For my entree, I got the 2-pancake stack breakfast combo. I opted for the lemon poppyseed pancakes (which the kitchen cooks), cheesy eggs, and bacon. My husband got the southern breakfast, and our friend got one of their scramble skillets. My wife had the pulled pork Bennie. I am not a fan of pulled pork, but I must admit my fork wandered over to the plate a few times. She loved the dish as well. It was so big, we took half home. And there is where I may have finished it without permission. LOL. I really wish Yelp had the half star option. 4 1/2 is more appropriate. Go here. You won't be disappointed.

Wow, we missed so many things about Crush! Those bacon-wrapped Medjool dates, the amazing cocktail program... so many things. My burger was new to the menu, and I can't remember the name, but let's just call it "the Butcher Burger," because I know it had a patty that was a mix of chorizo and venison, and maybe Wagyu? It was also topped with an egg and some smoky mayo. Regardless of what it was called, it was TO DIE FOR. My daughter had a huge wedge salad, and it was great. My wife's chive and Gruyère biscuit was awesome, and her strawberry-rhubarb cocktail was delicious. Coming from Dallas, a city with a steakhouse on practically every corner, I can say we definitely know our steaks and steak house experiences. We also travel all over the world looking for the best steak experiences locally. When we first came here, we thought we'd found Melbourne's best. The closest to fine dining steak back home. But over the years, things have just slidden down hill. The once impressive share board has A) not changed in its inclusions during this 5+ year span; and B) gone down in quality considerably. If you look at the pictures of our boards over the years you'll see the Caesar used to be long, elegant romaine leaves with the most delicious lemony-crunchy topping with superior house made dressing. Now it has boring store-looking croutons, no lemon-crunch topping, and the dressing tastes as boring as the salad looks. The potato used to be a large, hassleback prepared encased in a blanket of cheese with another delicious cheese dressing poured on top of that. Now, they just dump a bunch of wet something in the middle of an open lackluster potato. Not only are the items themselves getting more boring, but the board itself being the same for 6 years is boring. Why not change it up? If you can't make an actually good Caesar anymore, why not swap it for a wedge? If you can't be bothered to make a presentable potato - one of the cheapest things for a restaurant to do - why not do some au gratin? Or, why not have 2-3 different boards for people to choose from? Why did they just give up on this concept and themselves? Yes - you can order individual separate sides, but you can do that anywhere. What made this restaurant stand out, and shine like steakhouses in bigger cities, is now dragging them down. We've also really struggled with the hosts over the years. Rude. Inattentive. Not seating in a timely manner despite reservations and an empty restaurant. Being forced into uncomfortably tiny 2-seaters where you feel like you're on a date with the tables next to you. This is the most unromantic thing to do to diners. I would usually never complain about prices at a steakhouse. Again, steakhousing is a hobby of ours and we are fully invested. But... the prices USED to be completely justified given the quality food and experiences. Now... I'd say there are plenty of other restaurants in town with better quality, better service, better vibes - for a better price. I miss the patio vibes. I miss wine by the fire pits. I miss friendly servers and hosts and well-executed offerings. That's such a bummer. If their business couldn't sustain the patio area, maybe they should have thought about why people weren't coming back and made efforts to correct that. Instead of taking away the things they still had going for themselves and flopping on the things they continued offering. What used to be a beautiful location with great service and a thoughtful menu is now a played out shell of its former self. I've shared feedback with the restaurant multiple times over the years, and nothing changes. Like... literally nothing changes unless it's actually getting worse. It's gone downhill, guys. No matter how many videos you post on social of your chefs and how proud you are of your food... I will not be fooled, again.

We were victims to their awful cooking and mishandling food. I certainly do give good ratings for good restaurants as much as 1 star ratings for dives like yours. Plus your prices are absolutely insane if I have to leave hungry especially. My steak was overcooked and took too long to get it. 6 oz? You should call that a child's menu item with a side of mac and cheese. Just 6 miles south, The Old Fish House in Grant surpasses the food here, at a fraction of the price with the same damn river view as this uppity location. Vics is another gem in Sebastian, I've been here for 45 years, I know the area better than you. This Yellow Dog "Sample size" Cafe charges a fortune to put your life at risk with ignorant kitchen staff, how can you justify staying open? The country should shut you down! The decor manipulated their decision most likely. I'll look into it, I promise. People only go to this riverfront dive because they're pretentious, not because they expect good food and a drink. I really should have read the reviews and taken the poor 1 star as a big red flag to avoid this place. My date ordered an unrecognizable goo, and she wouldn't touch it. I wonder if we suffered these poor kitchen practices noted in your failed inspection? Thawing commercially processed Reduced Oxygen Packaging (ROP) or vacuum-sealed fish in its packaging is highly dangerous.
