They have a GREAT selection of Florida beers, both local and a littler further out. Saw a few we'd never heard of. Both of us LOVED our dishes: Shrimp and Andouille Mac and the Caribbean Pasta. I mean - we were FLOORED by the quality, both in presentation and taste. The Caribbean Pasta has such a unique, tropical flavor that you would not expect to have on a fettuccine dish. And I was JEALOUS that my hubs had the Shrimp and Andouille Mac. It was phenomenal. A roux based cheese sauce with lots of cheddar, shrimp, and andouille that was to die for. We stopped here because of the good reviews onYelp so we figured we try it. Around 2pm on Saturday for lunch. We got food poisoning. My wife sent her coconut shrimp appetizer back because it looked raw. The bartender took it to the kitchen and brought it back and said the cook said it was at the right temperature. I touched it and it was cold. Normal restaurant would have fired another one up. And I got the steak sandwich, which was good but the after effect I am suffering. We were fine until about 5pm when it hit us. Thanks alot! You ruined our night out with friends because we had to cancel. Funny thing is there was a nice couple sitting at the bar next to us up from the south. He ate the steak sandwich and she had only half of her shrimp BLT. I hope they didnt get sick too. As someone who grew up on the water and close to New Orleans, I have a very high standard for seafood. This kitchen doesn't just meet the bar; they raise it. The Food House Smoked Fish Dip: This was a refreshing departure from the traditional "creamy mushy" dips. It was full of bright flavor and, most importantly, didn't drown the fish in mayo. Using the house-made kettle chips as a base was a great touch. Crab Cake Benedict: This dish was understated but incredible. The crab cakes were nearly all crab with very little filler--a rare find. I have to give a huge "Bravo" to the kitchen for not drowning the eggs in sauce; the remoulade was perfectly balanced and, honestly, better than my mother's! (Don't tell her!) Caramel Pecan Cheesecake: We finished with this for dessert. It was decadent, rich, and definitely a shareable portion. The Drinks My mother enjoyed the house Chardonnay, and I opted for their signature cocktail, "The Brevardian." It was impressively smooth and balanced. The restaurant is located on the riverfront, which was beautiful. However, when you sit outside, the flies come when the food is served. They have fans at every outside table to deter them, but our fan and several others, were not working. Jadyn, our server, was wonderful. She was pleasant, friendly, and knowledgeable. The filet mignon was smothered with a peppercorn sauce that took away from the meat taste. The mashed potatoes were not hot, and the asparagus had no flavor. The Smashburger had just an ordinary taste and not something we would go back for. Our friends, however, did love their seafood platter. Perhaps they are better known for their seafood dishes. Sitting right on the Intracoastal, the views alone set the tone whether you're planning an elegant date night or just a casual evening out. There's a strong focus on fresh seafood, but plenty of land-based options as well, so no one feels limited. Everything we tried was well-executed and flavorful. Inside, the space is eclectic in the best way. It's cozy, charming, and full of personality without feeling overdone. You can tell there was intention behind the design, and it adds to the overall experience. Outside is still cozy despite the open air ambiance. OMG WOW! If I could give this place more stars I would and if I wasn't married for over 25 years I would marry this chef!!! Our waitstaff Taylor was amazing! They had an accessible table right on the patio overlooking the Indian river! They started us off with homemade seasoned chips and a smoked cream cheese dip (complimentary). My husband ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell to begin. We then ordered the salmon with the most incredible Gruyère grits I have ever had with my husband ordering the filet with scallops. He loves scallops and was thrilled they came with the filet as usually it is paired with shrimp. We had reservations for 4 weeks for Mother's Day. We got there on time and a couple with a small child jumped infront of us. They told the hostess that they did not have a reservation. They sat them in the last shady table. We were sat on the deck that did not any shade. It was sooo hot. We asked to be moved and they said all the shady seats were reserved for people with reservations. We told them we made them 4 weeks ago. Yhe waitress said she could bring us a bucket of ice water and a rag to put over our legs because they were getting burns before we even ordered. The silverware was to hot to hold. It was literally like being branded with a hot knive. The waitress was very good. The burger was not seasoned and just okay. It came came with chips not veggies or even fries. My daughter's food came out late and the guy who brought her food asked if he could get us anything else and I asked for coke and it never showed up. By the time our waitress came back we were finished with the meal. I ended up ordering the Creme Brulee and it was really good. The only positive experience of my Mother's Day experience. When trying to find a place for brunch, I was looking for a place halfway between Orlando and West Palm Beach as a good meeting point for my family. I made a reservation for 10 people and we were all very comfortable. Our server Lisa came over - and she was FANTASTIC. She has such a cool personality and she really made our experience amazing. She had great recommendations too! We ordered the mimosa flight, which came with a bottle of champagne and 3 different juices (cranberry, orange and fruit punch) and assorted fruits on a board. I had never had a fruit punch mimosa but now I'm a huge fan! For food, we all ordered individual entrees (instead of the buffet platters) and nobody left anything on their plates!!! The food was AMAZING. I originally ordered the Cuban Breakfast, but unfortunately she came back from the kitchen to let me know that they did not have any ropa vieja :( but that was okay - I ordered the shrimp & grits instead.. and that DID NOT disappoint. My husband and BIL ordered the Steak and Eggs. They both loved it! And the rest of my family ordered the Ole Florida Skillet. Like I said, everyone left their plates CLEAN. The house sausage was really really good! Then, I was surprised with a small sampler of their desserts! Much like the other reviews I wanted to love this place too. I had heard great things and planned a special ladies brunch for my birthday today. Well apparently another party had the same idea and a group of 26 was sat the same time as we were. I have never worked in a restaurant but I can imagine that was a challenge. So let me start with the good. The server Wesley was extremely patient and kind. There were 8 ladies in our party all with dietary restrictions. He did his best. The atmosphere could not have been prettier. We sat outside, everything seemed very clean as well. I had the Bloody Mary and the wagyu burger. Both very good and tasty. Here's where the problems came, as I mentioned we all had dietary restrictions. While mine is not life threatening other people in my group cannot be as flexible. There were no gluten free options clearly available and there was only one vegetarian option. When we asked for accommodations the chef refused. I completely understand wanting to protect your craft and your art but in this day and age you just can't be that inflexible. Almost everyone is allergic to something. If everyone with an allergy just stayed home restaurants would be out of business. We also did not receive our food together or even close to the same time. Our reservation was for 1130 and we waited what felt like a very long time for balsamic dressing because they had already run out. The menu is inspiring - great options & wanted to try more than just what I had - the Cioppino entre at the adjacent table looked really delicious. The restaurant used to be Bonefish Willy's, and I had been there previously multiple times. While BW was charmingly funky, The Brevardian is much more elegant. It's a 100+ year old building right on the river, so seating on the lower deck is cool & makes for a memorable meal. But the Brevardian folks have updated the property and it's truly nice. Bathrooms no longer oddly funky, and the whole property feels comfortable (I got rained on a few times sitting at the bar at BW!!). That won't happen with the updates to the building.
