Great speakeasy! It's beautiful decorated. My cocktails were $13'ish each and really good. I specifically asked them to make them not sweet and they turned out delicious. I loved the oysters mushrooms. The jalapeño chicken was good enough to have with drinks. The staff was great! I'd definitely recommend this place.

Omg I've been wanting to try this place and my friend got us tickets to a show. It was amazing but the food and service was even better. I will definitely go here again and again. The sushi is excellent!! I love Umami so that was a no brainer and the drinks omg. Just go! The vibe of the place was so adult and low key. Loved it!!!

This event with Yelpers was so awesome. Food was great, drinks were fantastic. Bartender was so helpful and made accommodations for an allergy.

Usually, this bar is one of my favorite spots, but the Halloween event was a bit of a letdown. The decor and atmosphere were amazing, and they really went all out for the theme, which I appreciated. However, it was way too crowded to fully enjoy, and the service suffered because of it--long waits and overwhelmed staff. I'll definitely come back because they're usually great, but they might want to rethink capacity for special events in the future.

Such a cute, chill bar. This speakeasy bar is something to add to your list if you're hanging out in or near downtown Birmingham. The drinks are all crafted and unique. We ordered the F Scott Fitzgerald, it had some interesting flavors, something I've never had before. The service is unique as well, you ring a box on the wall next to your seating area and it prompts the staff to come and check on you. Perfect for a date night, girls night or just wanting to try something new.

Really cool place... Had a 25 minute wait on a Saturday night and was seated a little after 9pm. You walk up the stairs... Make your "phone call" and wait. There is a TV and they had Walking Dead on, so that was cool to watch while we waited. Made the time fly by . I also love that you can scan the barcode and order/pay. It makes it a lot easier and you don't have to wait on servers coming to your table. Unfortunately, for them, they only had one server the night we were there, but they did awesome in keeping up with everyone. We sat out on the covered patio area that is heated, it was a little quieter than inside and a nice atmosphere. The patio faces a courtyard that looks like it is awesome place to sit the warmer weather times. We got a few drinks, the charcuterie board and buffalo Chex mix. Charcuterie board needs a few more items on it for the price and the check mix was terrible. It tasted burnt which was a bummer because they sound better than they tasted. Pictures are dark as it was dark in there. We will definitely be back for drinks and hope to sit on the inside this time.

One of my favorite speakeasies and all-around bars in the whole country. The ambiance is perfect, the drinks spectacularly good and the service amazing.

My wife and I spent the evening at this fun and interesting secret little hidden bar off 41 Street. Two great bartenders, Grayson and Rob took great care of us. Drinks were potent and nothing is watered down here. You stay there long enough, you will end up dancing on the bar like Zelda! They need to sell roles of the decorative wallpaper. Need service at your table, just pull the string and watch the magic picture frame light up. If your looking for some good custom cocktails with a taste of the 1920's, this is the place to go! Love it!

Quite a fab time.

The Marble Ring is 100% recommended it doesn't serve food. How ever right below it they do. Their service is spectacular. The ambiance is but a 1920s theme. The jazz is wonderful. And the drink are so delicious and well crafted. My friends and I enjoy our time their every time we come to visit Birmingham. The wall paper in the bathroom is a trip to see too.

From the moment you walk in it's creative and decorative and the service is great. We went on Halloween and entered the bar by picking up a phone. It was interesting. I'm giving four stars for the design of the bar itself but the drink I ordered was not strong in my opinion. I barely felt a buzz after finishing the entirety of the drink and that was a disappointment. The drink was tasty and pretty but...... I will give this place another try eventually because for our first time we sat outside on the patio which was nice but I want to sit inside next time because it's pretty!

Speakeasy that also has an outdoor area. Great choice if you want to see live bands play while sipping alcohol. Our drinks were strong so can't complain. Must visit cocktail bar in Birmingham in my opinion.

Good food, tasty signature drinks, pleasant staff and laid back atmosphere. This was my first experience but definitely won't be the last...

They have a food truck that I've heard wonderful things about and I ordered the chicken Caesar salad. It was almost like a chopped Caesar salad and it was just the right amount for a small girl dinner. If you like Parmesan cheese, this is a must order as they do not skimp on that! What was really nice however was that you couldn't tell the food was from a food truck. It was great quality and you are able to order from inside the bar and they deliver it to you. That was a great service. I can't quite remember which cocktail I got, but it was very delicious and at one point the server had even given me a new chilled glass so my drink would remain cold as I sipped on it. This is definitely a great date night spot or just a place to grab a drink with friends, definitely a little more upscale as we were there in the evening, so the lights were dim. I won't drop my rating as it's spring time in the South but I remember being cold immediately as I walked in- but that's typical for a lot of places.

I ordered the featured Old Fashioned for the evening along with a WhistlePig flight, both were excellent. The Old Fashioned was smooth, balanced, and exactly what a bourbon lover hopes for. One thing I really appreciate about Sloan's is that they host tastings almost weekly (or very often), and they're great about posting details on their social media so you always know what's coming up. It makes the experience feel curated and intentional. The service is always amazing; knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly passionate about bourbon. And the atmosphere? Grown and sophisticated. It's the perfect spot for a date night, a business meet-up, or just a refined night out if you appreciate a good pour. If you love bourbon and want a polished, elevated experience in Birmingham, Sloan's is the place

My husband and FIL liked theirs too. My MIL felt there was barely any alcohol in hers but I cannot confirm. We did have a hiccup with the bill being completely wrong (and we were overcharged twice) but it was all settled. There were not very many people at the bar for a Friday night. But perhaps it's a more late(r) night place. We are all geriatric in our party (sort of). I didn't mind and it seemed to be picking up when we were leaving. Overall decent, but maybe I miss Pale Eddie's just a bit.

Chips were too salty but still crisp and thin. I get the same thing each time because other dishes I've tried are a little too spicy for my taste. The Birria was a touch tough. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered the taco salad, but OMG, it was huge!!! To be honest, I was expecting it to be pretty bland but I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of flavor of the dish. The chips and salsa are also a slam dunk. Although the massive pieces of tomato in the salsa were at times a bit too chunky for me. As has been noted, prepare to pay a premium price for tex mex. They don't take cash and there is a service fee for credit cards. Also, many of the servers are a bit cold and standoffish, but I at least had a pleasant interaction with one!
