    Fried chicken dinner
    Candice K.

Stop here for lunch today while in Florida. We were seated and then greated by Dawn. She had worked here 28yrs. She took great care of us. I ordered a BLT with fried okra. Both were good. The BLT was lacking some B was good overall. The rest of my party had the roast beef dinner and fried chicken dinner. Their servings were huge. The restaurant was all decked out in country decor.

First time trying The mason jar and even though we originally came to have breakfast we ended up having lunch because they stop serving breakfast at 11am. We ordered: Country fried steak with brown gravy, green beans , candied yams , & fries with a lemonade Stuff peppers with mashed potatoes and brown gravy and a corn muffin and a side of pickled beets ( I'm obsessed with beets ) Overall the food was pretty good . The green beans we had to doctor up alittle and the candied yams are not up to our expectation. Service was wonderful , fast and friendly.

I saw The Mason Jar on Yelp for good breakfast menu and decided to try it out. I got there after the breakfast hours. The seating area looks like you are back in time with all the old pictures, hunting and cowboy items. The server was very nice and the highlight of my visit. So I settled on the Country Fried Steak, Candied Yams, Green Beans and Fries. That wasn't a good decision. The Candied Yams weren't sweet. The Green Beans has no real season to it. I had to add pepper to it. The Country Fried Steak was good but the Brown gravy upset my stomach due to a lot of milk in it. Fries for the win! Wouldn't come back for Lunch or Dinner. Maybe I will get there earlier for Breakfast.

Lots of good and specials ! New owner very motivated to keep people happy . Daily specials . Many sides

Omg!!! Fried chicken with sausage Harvey hash browns and a big fluffy biscuit for the win. The flavor of the chicken was easily 10/10.

Holy moly this gem should be in my families regular weekend rotation. The Mason jar is good home cookin. The portions are perfect and the Tea is fresh. Our server Mallory was fantastic from the wait to the ordering and delivery of our meal it was super quick I and super friendly. We will definitely we back. Very busy but very attentive.

Well folks I think I found the local feed-mill, there no doubt about the popularity of this watering hole the non-alcoholic beverages here are served in volumetric portions that requires two hands to sip and the entrées come with (3) choice sides. Arriving here at the noon hour on the weekend it's likely you'll find a wait, there was a wait but not for us since there was only the two of us, but there were several herds tied out front and they weren't going to be seated anything soon. It seems some of the patrons here treat this as an event even though it's no a buffet and the food isn't served family style. This restaurant is well staffed with friendly servers, the decor is comfortable as are the entrées I think any time the sign on front of your building only says "home style cooking" they will come, especially at these prices. The Food - Open-face roast beef sandwich on white bread and mashed potatoes with brown gravy this seems to be a daily special I think it was $11.99. The thinly sliced roast beef was tender and flavorful and completely covered the bread and mashed potatoes definitely comfort food. The chicken tenders were uhm tender lightly breaded and tasty, the crinkle fries and cole slaw were good too but the collards with a few shakes of Louisiana Tabasco Peppers in vinegar was excellent the only way they could of been better is if they were served in triplicate, you can order these as all three of your sides you know. There are some interesting offerings here, I'd definitely stop in again to try more of them...

I asked if they served food and he said they served the same thing as the restaurant on the corner so I decided to eat there at their very cool looking bar. Very few restaurants and bars carry pineapple cider anymore, but this must've been my lucky night because they did so I enjoyed one of those. I asked for recommendations and not only did the bartender give me recommendations but so did some customers sitting at the bar. It sounds like everything is pretty good, although some better than others. I went out on my own and tried the Creamy Chicken Cajun Pasta and fried pickles. If I had one negative thing to say it would be that my main dish came out before my appetizer. I never like when that happens, but whatever. This pasta dish was by far the best I've ever had anywhere, ever! So creamy, not spicy at all for a Cajun dish, and the chicken was fall apart delicious. The fried pickles were heavily breaded when I was told that they were lightly breaded, but they were still good. I will probably never be in this area again to ever come back to eat here but if you're in the area or even 30 minutes away, it is well worth the drive!

They have all the breakfast items you can imagine and a whole bunch of lunch and dinner options as well. Their menu continues to expand. We, of course, went for breakfast and had our choice of eggs and bacon and grits and pancakes ... but what stood out for me was the biscuits and gravy and the SOS. If you don't know what SOS stands for, look it up... it's a great breakfast item. The SOS is not the same as the biscuits and sausage gravy because that is sausage gravy, the SOS has chipped beef in gravy and usually will come on toast, but I prefer it with the biscuits. I asked for my eggs over easy and they were just right. The side of grits comes in a small bowl which is a good portion for one person and the pancakes were humongous - a very good size for two pancakes and golden brown... I ended up sharing with my wife. We were very happy with the service that they gave us and one of the managers came around to see if everything was good or if we needed anything and we really appreciated that. This is a very down to earth place where it feels like home. It's a great place to bring the family, and we did see a lot of people with their kids, but, we also saw couples like myself and my wife sharing some good coffee or sweet tea and loving life. We are definitely coming back because I wanna try the teriyaki chicken plates and I'm very interested in the shrimp and scallops.

Also, a very interesting variety of plates - simple breakfast combos, teriyaki, Cuban sandwiches, Shepard's Pie, gyros, and chicken livers! What?! Swear to God! Open from 6a-2p every day.
