My boyfriend and I came back to here to eat yet again so he could try the gator on the menu that we're busy this time, a bingo game was being hosted in the back, understandably kitchen was kinda backed up, despite that that still handled everything professionally and as fast as they could. Amazing friendly staff! love the vibes here so much. We are definitely going to miss it when we head home.

Just a down home restaurant/bar with a lot of locals. It's an enjoyable atmosphere playing good country music! I enjoyed the patio since I had my dog. The server was quick on her feet and very friendly. we will definitely be checking them out again. We enjoyed our cheese curds!! I give 4 stars since they ran out of bone-in wings and that what I was craving lol!!

This is on the lake with docks for the boaters. There is covered outdoor seating as well as indoor separate bar and dining room. There is an extensive menu with typical American options. I had the mushroom Swiss burger with tots. The burger was a half pound and they gave plenty of tots. The burger was overcooked but still good and the tots were great. The server was attentive and friendly. The other servers were cleaning when they weren't busy which was good to see. They serve Coke products. Lost one star due to it having a strong urine smell between the bar and the dining room (outside of the restrooms). That was disgusting.

Dropped a star for the heavy odor of urine emitting from the bathrooms - luckily, we could not smell it from the far wall in the dining room. Burger was tasty, although not cooked to mid rare (closer to a mid well) Fries were ho-hum Service was great Choices were Great Dining room was very clean

So I don't know, maybe it was the menagerie of bad juju on the way in. A clowder of black cats dancing about the parking lot. Two crows cawing at me. Who knows, but truth be told, the wings were pretty good and service was very friendly ...but they were slower than molasses! Supper was dreadfully long; took almost two hours with only two beers in between. Yep, that second BOGO beer took forty minutes to come out. And don't even ask about the check. I'm just so glad we had the cash to get the @?#! out of there just as soon as she brought it. And whatever was special with the view and the sunset was covered up by drawn blinds, so no view. And supper took so long, was too dark to enjoy a sunset walk afterwards. Was a real bummer.

We have been eyeballing this place for about 6 months and finally stopped in. I'm sad to say we were very disappointed. I got the Thai chili wings and a side of fries. The sauce was great but a few of the wings were pink inside. My fries were warm but soggy. My husband's chicken taco salad had like 3 pieces of chicken (cut in a square) and was cold. He asked for a side of beef since there was hardly any meat and I'm sorry but it was horrible. I feel like it was a frozen hamburger that was just sliced up. There was absolutely no flavor to it at all. He ended up using my wing sauce to give his taco salad flavor. He felt bad and told the waitress it was really good. It sucks to have a cheat meal and it's not good. The service was pretty good, she was very nice.

Takeout fish basket lacking everything including the takeout box. Think twice before you go there I don't know what happened to it

We have come here since '99, it has gradually became a dive . This is what we got given to us ordering take out fish basket. He said they were out of take out boxes.. We planned to eat at the park. He gave me two restaurant bread plates. I had to ask for utensils, lemons, and a copy of my receipt which he didn't give me at first. Both the fish and the tater tots were sorry. We didn't notice until we opened it that it did not have the coleslaw or tartar sauce either. Simply pitiful. You can get better food from a roach coach on the side of a country road or Carnival. We decided to take it back and get our money back. I don't know what happened to this place because it used to be awesome. The last several times we've come there's been one issue or another but nothing like this!

Actually some really nice views and sunsets here with the lake just off to the West from the restaurant. Always super friendly service and the food is solid. Some dishes a bit better than others, but, overall it's a solid place that never serves anything just flat-out bad. It's worth the stop, and if you have the time, get there early and take a walk along the "lake-walk" after dinner.

The location by the lake is nice. I wish adjacent railroad was active for tourists in addition to freight. The flatbread was meh. The fries with the wrap were cold, but the wrap itself was hot and pretty good. Most everybody here knew each other. Service was meh, she seemed to have more of a focus problem than being overwhelmed. So ok if you are in the area but not a destination drive.

Terrible! We have eaten here for years, and we went for pickup tonight and were so disappointed. When we go the kids like to split a large pepperoni pizza - the 16". We ordered it it as the "large 16" pizza". They gave us a small child's size pizza yet charged us the bigger pizza price. My husband immediately noticed and brought it to their attention but they said "we don't have a 16" pizza." Then why is it on your menu and why did you let us order it? The flippancy of the staff was laughable too even after reaching out after to complain again. Will never again eat there. Highly recommend you go the other better restaurants in Eustis and Mt Dora.

That's what we did that morning. Ambiance was great. It felt like each little dining area was a different room in a big, semi-haunted mansion. Eclectic books and paintings and mirrors and other baubles adorned much of the walls, making for plenty of looking around time during you meal. Very fun. Service was really good. The pacing of the meal was great, and our server was very friendly. We were always with drink, and she knew the menu backwards and forwards, even the special dishes of the night. As for the food, we went whole hog with two apps, two mains, and a dessert to share. Out of everything we ordered, only one of them remains on the current menu, which is a great sign. I love a rotating, seasonal menu. It shows effort, and it definitely encourages return patronage. We started with the Ciabatta Board (toasted ciabatta, house butter made with sun dried tomato, roasted red pepper, parmesan, garlic, chive). This was nice. It was very sun dried tomato, so if you don't like them, don't get this. But very soft, toasty bread made this very lovely. We also got an escargot app which was very creamy and soup-like. The snails were complimented well by the spinach. And the whole thing came with a nice little breadstick. I saved some of the bread from the board for some sopping. Pro move. For our mains, we got a miso butter New York strip and some sort of Asian themed duck. For both mains, the proteins were cooked very very well, and the portion sizes were a good size compared to what I was expecting. Both sets of taters were good. The mash was very smooth and creamy, the roasted baby potatoes were cooked all the way through and were nice and naturally buttery. Both were served with a seasonal veg mix that was pretty ok. It rounded out the plate, but it won't change your world or anything. We finished off with one of the best slices of cheesecake I've ever had. Incredibly smooth with the perfect cheesecake density, the perfect amount of chocolate chips inside, and a nice little crust that added that little bit of texture that is needed from the crust. Overall, quite a meal! To survive in a small town with these prices and those quality ingredientes and that unique of a menu design is very impressive. I will certainly be back.

Our server was really nice, made good recommendations, and the food was paced absolutely perfectly. The food itself was the best part. Crazy unique menu items that promised a lot and delivered a lot. Cons: Not a single con. A great little visit. Tips: The menu has completely changed since we went, which is good, so I can't recommend any specific dishes. But the ones I see on the menu now look absolutely banging.

The Southern burger was great, but I tossed off the raw onions as I absolutely hate them, and added the lovely pickled onions from my wife's salad, which gave the perfect amount of flavor and color. Don't you agree? Give me a LIKE if you do !!! The crepe was next level. Delicate crepe, very soft ripe bananas, sauce was not disgustingly sugary, and the vanilla ice cream was smooth and soft, not icy and sweet. Dunno what brand they use, or if they churn the cream fresh in-house, but it made my day.

There are lots of delightful restaurants there (according to yelpers) but many were located downtown and parking was hard to find so we decided to go to Fifth Avenue Streatery since we had driven by and there was lots of parking. All of which the tables are outside on a charming patio with lots of interesting decor. It was 11:30 so the day was pleasant and sitting outside was fine. Not sure how I would feel about that in August. Our waitress was Haley (guessing at the spelling) and she was bubbly and very attentive. The menu wasn't overwhelming and I always think that's a good sign that most of the food is being prepared fresh and not pulled from a freezer. My mom ordered the fish sandwich with tomato and cucumber salad. After ordering the Italian Haley said they were out of beef until the owner arrived so I went for the day's special which was a seafood basket: two pieces of fried fish, four huge shrimp and clam strips. Clam strips are not my favorite but these were very crisp and tasty. It was served with fries and cold slaw. We both agreed the food was very good. I asked for some cocktail sauce and after a few minutes she came back with saying she had to make some. It was fantastic, very horseradish forward which I loved. I am glad we couldn't locate our first two choices since we got to eat at this funky little place and have the best server in all of Mt. Dora.
