We were placed in the back room with a large table and within 20 minutes the waitress asked if we would like to move tables to the front room because they were a bit loud and she accommodated my request for a round table. Wonderful appetizer of scallops with the best 12 year aged cheddar cream sauce I've ever had. Hen mushrooms and some relish. Then (not pictured) was the dungeonness crab corn chowder which they politely split into two bowls for us. Entrees I had the filet with adobo shrimp and they did it rare +. Bf had the aged ribeye with cippolini and we shared the pomme purée. Split a bottle of rouge medoc. Everything was wonderfully cooked. It was a steep bill but to be expected. They offer you as well amuse bouche to start and a wonderful lemon bar to go. Great great time!

My husband and I wanted to get breakfast in town before heading back to the Poconos! Looking for suggestions online we chose The Corner Diner Too as the feedback regarding service and reviews was very positive! A small and cozy environment as we were greeted by locals and management upon entering the restaurant. My husband and I both ordered omelets that were fantastic! Owner and staff take a lot of pride in their business! Make everyone feel welcome and have a great sense of humor! If you're visiting the Verona or surrounding area would highly recommend! Food and service was great! Refreshing too see a properly ran restaurant and a friendly and organized team!! Will definitely be back in the future!!

The ceiling tiles were out of place and each wall was a different color. No one greeted us at the door for a few minutes. Once finally sat, the lady asked us the general questions. There was no " hi how are you ". She seemed like she just hated everything about her job. Once we got our order taken, we were able to give a look around. Floors were disgusting and tables sticky. The food was undercooked and had no taste whatsoever. The music blasting from the kitchen was very distracting. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt since it was a mom and pop location...we will not be back.

Seemingly in the middle of rural upstate NY is this gem of a restaurant. The server and everyone on the staff that interacted with us were simply lovely! Kind, helpful and joyful. I ordered a turkey melt with onion rings, and my friend had a burger with fried which she claimed was one of the best she had eaten in a long time. Accompanied by "sassy sauce" our fries and onion rings were dipped in this delightful yet spicy accoutrement! My turkey melt was delicious- carved turkey- not slimy cold cuts, cheese and banana peppers were a perfect and delectable combination on lightly toasted bread- simply marvelous! For desert- and they are all lovingly homemade, I had a mixed berry pie with ice cream and my friend had a slice of Dutch apple pie! Both equally and fabulously delicious! We left stuffed to the gills and so glad that we turned the truck around to try this hidden gem! Don't pass it up- stop by- it's worth it!

While my wife enjoyed her breakfast it was not without sine distractors as the hash was lacking sufficient meat and any real flavor. It may be a local favorite, but I've had better...especially for the money.

When my family entered the restaurant, we immediately like the rustic country decor. We were immediately greeted by a woman who confirmed our reservations and showed us to our table. The restaurant was quickly filling up and it took a few moments for a server to come to our table. After about 15-20 minutes it seemed like the staff got it going and food was coming out to tables and customers that ordered the Mother's Day brunch were getting their food quickly. My kids ordered the chocolate chip pancakes. One with game and one with sausage. My daughter is very picky with her pancakes and ate them all. I had the brunch. I had eggs Benedict, spinach omelette, ham and cheese omelette, bacon, fresh fruit, and two croissants. The food was delicious and fresh. The dining room was spacious and clean and bright as were the servers and the bartenders who expertly served us. They have a happy hour from 5 to 7 that varies each day so on this Thursday was half price on selected appetizers as well as $2.50 domestic select drafts. We got there about 10 after five and the bar quickly filled up, which seemed to be regulars, which was a good sign. We decided to linger a little bit over our first drinks and ordered deep fried cheese curds with a delicious margarita type tomato sauce. I had never had fried cheese curds and they were plentiful and came out steaming hot topped with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, unfortunately I did not take a picture as we were hungry and dove right in. When it was time for our second drink, I pondered over their wine list, but decided that with my Reuben and mac & cheese dinner a cold draft would suffice. My husband ordered the Philly cheesecake sandwich and onion rings. The mac & cheese and the onion rings were up charges of $2.50 and they were worth it. The cheesesteak sandwich was not shaved beef, but wonderfully thick pieces of beef on a perfectly toasted bun type with cheese and peppers. The onion rings were generous as well as crisp and not overly breaded. My Reuben was perfectly toasted on a delicious rye bread with just the right amount of sauce to not make it soggy. The star was their mac & cheese served in a steaming hot crock! It was creamy, not too cheesy, but cheesy enough to know that you were digging into a delicious bite of mac & cheese.. well done kitchen! All in all the meal was so large we could only eat half of it and brought it home for another day. We would certainly return as we enjoyed every bit of our evening. The patio looked invited and will be opening soon. They also have live entertainment to enjoy.

Who doesn't want to go to a joint that says food, slots and drinks in the very front of it? It just screams fun. My daughter and I headed inside. We were stopped by a security guard. He carded us since it's an 18 and up only. The security was really nice! We got carded and made our way in. All the slots were bright and calling my name. They all looked so fun but we were here for food so we headed to the restaurant. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. As beautiful as the weather is, of course we had to sit outside. The setting couldn't be more perfect. The sun was starting to set so the sky was shades of pink and blue. The clouds sprinkled the sky and the water was still. It couldn't have been more perfect view for us. Anna came and greeted us. She has the prettiest smile. She asked us what we'd like to drink. We got our sodas ordered and since I had already looked at the menu, we asked if we can go ahead and order food as well. My daughter and I both got a bowl of clam chowder and some calamari to share. Our clam chowder came out first. It was beautifully topped with bacon and green onion. The chowder was hot! I added the oyster crackers in it so they can sog up. Soggy oyster crackers are so good! The clam chowder was fantastic! It had chunky pieces of celery, potatoes and clams. It was hearty and thick. I ordered a bowl and the bowl was on the smaller side but it was actually the perfect amount. The calamari was some of the best I have ever had! The calamari was so tender. It wasn't chewy or rubbery. They were perfectly breaded and fried. The breading wasn't thick, it was light and crunchy. There was also fried pieces of banana peppers. They were so good! You dip it all in the aioli, chef's kiss. You get a generous amount of calamari. We couldn't finish it so we boxed the rest of those babies for later. The whole experience at the Lake House was phenomenal. From the setting to the service, it was all fantastic. This joint is the perfect setting for a date night. I enjoyed every minute sharing a meal with my daughter here. I'm happy my curiosity brought me to this joint. It's definitely one of my top 3 core memories from this trip. I look forward coming back, enjoying another meal and sunset here.

Even while the outside world looked dead (hey - it's end of winter in Sylvan Beach after all) it was all good vibes inside! The old love to go back.
