My dog is having some type of reaction, skin allergy or infection and I called around to the places my regular veterinarian suggested; however, they didn't have anything until months out and wanted a $300 deposit :(. So I turned to my trusted Yelp and was blessed to find MedSpaw! The reviews are spot on Nurse Natasha and the Doctor got me in the very next day I called for an appointment. Initial consultation was only $120, the place is spotless and super friendly. They even have a luxury hotel that smells and looks super clean and the pets are happy. On our appt, they immediately took him in and did an a little skin scrape and put it under the microscope, right there. Immediately found bacteria and offered to do a punch skin biopsy to get down to the real issue. They offered me bottled water. They have filtered water for the dogs, and they also make their own treats that are hypoallergenic. I prefer a holistic approach to veterinary care and they supported me 100%. My regular vet had botched a skin tag removal on my dog's foot which resulted in an open wound. I chose to forgo antibiotics because I knew that Manuka Honey applied topically along with proper hygiene and bandage care would work effectively without disrupting my dogs gut microbiome. I chose to do follow-up care with Med Spaw because I wanted some wound debridement and infection assessment. They fit us in right away and did an amazing job! My pup is two years old and she developed a huge growth on her ear. It was so gross and unnatural looking we started calling it "the alien". We brought her to our regular vet to have it removed. They said it would require our dog to be put under, part of her ear to be removed, and then go through a healing period with bandages & meds. The cost I was quoted was "starts at $3600"! Upon a recommendation from a good friend, I took my dog to The Med Spaw. They were amazing!!! This place makes other vet clinics look medieval. Not only is their facility brand new, super clean, and very well equipped but it's adjacent to an awesome boarding facility (with a pool) and the staff are super friendly & clearly knowledgeable! My brother back in CT is a vet & so I'm used to receiving a very high standard of vet care that honestly has been difficult to find here in Vegas. Nurse Natasha, one of the owners, was incredible and clearly loves dogs. My dog fell in love with her! The vet examined my dog and determined he could remove "the alien" that day with a CO2 laser and just local anesthesia! The doctor did a fantastic job! The wound was cauterized so that no bandages were required. In fact, you can barely tell there was a wound! (See the after photo) All in, including the local anesthesia, the laser procedure and the initial exam, the cost was only $300!!! I essentially got 10X better service for less than 1/10th the price! I cannot remember the last time I got such high quality service for a price at which I was so happy to pay. Exceptional Value! After reviewing my dog's medical records from other vets, the Med Spaw doc noticed that my dog was taking a very expensive ($800/month) medication for an unrelated autoimmune issue that was prescribed by a neurology specialist. He recommended I ask about a new medication that he uses with the same active ingredient but 60% less cost! I really appreciate that he was actively helping reduce my costs. This place has earned a loyal customer! I am going to bring my dog back for a skin treatment to deal with dry skin. And next time I need to travel, she'll be staying at their boarding kennel. I brought my dog MuShu to The Med Spaw after getting a flyer and checking out their services. He had a skin tag that our vet quoted an outrageous price to remove, so I gave The Med Spaw a call. They gave me a much more reasonable estimate over the phone, so I decided to give them a try. This is by far the best vet in the city! I drive from North Las Vegas just to take my pups here! I have had issues in the past with vets mistreating my Dane and was hesitant when we originally brought her in to get her skin looked at. We saw Dr. Paulino on our first visit and we were impressed! Not only were the ALL the staff incredibly friendly but they took it slow with Friday (my Dane) and Dr. Paulino thoroughly walked us through what could be causing her skin issues, possible treatments, and costs. Recently brought my Dane back for an issue with her ear and we saw Dr. Brandt. This was another amazing day at The Med Spaw with Nurse Natasha doing more treatments on our Crosby. After just a few visits, Natasha has turned Crosby's slow healing burned skin areas to such a healthy and awesome improvement! Her devotion is evident as Natasha literally has a glow about her as she treats our pets with her passion to heal their problems. My Dog Leo has been suffering from being allergic to basically everything for 3 years.
