Excellent. This is a small and unassuming space, but the quality of the food continues to be exceptional. The people working behind the counter are pleasant and seem to be very much interested in creating the best food and best experience possible. We ordered takeout, but there are a few tables inside and there were a handful of people dining in when I picked up our order. In terms of the food, everything was nicely crafted. The spanakopita was deliciously crisp and flaky with plenty of flavor. The lentil soup was deeply flavorful. The greek salad was good, and filled with crisp vegetables. The falafel wrap was a bit more like a falafel burrito, wrapped in a tortilla. That actually worked well: it was a little more manageable than something wrapped in a pita. The cold appetizers were good as well, with nice flavors and textures. All told, this continues to be an excellent destination for Mediterranean cuisine.

I've ordered takeout from the Mediterranean Table twice and both times, I've been impressed. First off, I think they have the best pita bread I've had in a while. It's warm, soft, and fluffy and it's the perfect vessel for the dips and spreads that they offer. Most recently, I ordered cacik (thick cucumber yogurt) for a starter and the mixed kebab plate, which has lamb and chicken shish kebabs. It comes with rice and a side of pita and cabbage/peppers. Everything was super flavorful and delicious. The staff are always so kind when I stop in as well. I want to dine in next time, so I will make a point to do that.

This was my birthday dinner. The staff were so friendly. I was greeted immediately at the door and checked in by multiple staff through the meal. They were lovely I'd go back just for the customer service. It's a small hole in the wall kind of place, the food was all excellent and I have no notes for improvement. An easy 5/5 stars.

Fantastic experience! Staff were so friendly and the food was delicious. The space is small and intimate, unassuming at first if you aren't keeping an eye out. Everything was fresh and seasoned perfectly. The chicken and lamb were incredible, the falafel was crispy, and all of the dips that we got were exceptional. First time in and it was fantastic. Food was fresh and delicious and service and staff, super friendly. We loved everything and the place was buzzing for in house eating and to go's, so that's a good thing! We will absolutely return. Although I was put off by the use of everything being served on paper products as being wasteful, I decided it's better than using horrific styrofoam. I would like to see a better option than the plastic silverware set given. Maybe a plant based set or compostable options?

Very good! Came here with a friend while visiting Pittsburgh and had a great lunch. Owner was very attentive, made sure we had plenty of drinks and sauces, and portions were generous. Appreciated the veggie options. Hot tea came with the meal which was great for a cold day. Felt happy and refreshed after the meal, which was a nice change from a usual fried food meals out. Nice, casual ambience, I would definitely recommend it.

I have walked by this new restaurant/take-out many times because it is located in a block of Murray Ave with some of my favorite eateries. I even talked to the owners who while sitting in front invited me to try their new restaurant. Tonight because Mediterranean Grill a regular spot I like was closed we decided to order from Mediterranean Table- the restaurant is small with a grill in front of the street window. I phoned in the order- and tried many dishes I was excited about finding another good spot -I asked if they wanted my name and they said no- They also said the order would take 15 to 20 minutes. I commented "are you sure?" and they said "yes." 45 minutes and several walk-ins by me later we got our food- the staff was busy and they apologized for the wait- I took the food home and while unpacking I noticed that all the paper bags were covered wet with grease. When I unwrapped the lamb gyro the foil was dripping with grease and it was pooling. I took a bite- the pita was soggy so I deconstructed- the lamb was dry the salad was greasy and it was inedible- I then tried the Greek Lemon soup- They must have served me different soup because it was not chicken lemon soup. The veggie kabob was edible and tasty but it also was slick with oil- The lamb kabob was very tough- The grilled chicken kabob was good and was the highlight of a disaster meal that was fit from the trash can. The baba ganosh was bad, The dolma was editable but like the veggies tasted oily. The fatoosh was bad- oily and low quality lettuce tomato and onion that was wilted. 80% of the meal was not consumed because it was so greasy, wilted and tasted fried. Even the pita was cut into very small pieces. I think the atmosphere was chaotic and not relaxing. I had to squeeze my self to the counter- the food was just pain bad and it was 40 minutes late. After only a few bites all four of us felt sick. I am Shocked that so many good reviews are posted because this place is not worth trying, not good quality or properly prepared and above all not healthy. This is a hard pass- it was $90 down the drain and into the trash. Never again.

Some of the best Mediterranean food I've had in years! The baba ganoush has to be the best in western Pennsylvania. This is not a place you go to for ambiance and decor. This is where you for excellent authentic middle eastern food. The young and enthusiastic owner and chef have extensive knowledge of various cuisine of the region. The kebabs are as good if not better, than many of the best Persian restaurants in California. Believe me, I know from experience. I had the chicken kebab and my brother had the lamb. Both were seasoned and cooked to perfection. As someone who finds that many restaurants over salt the food these dishes were prepared with care and respect for the natural ingredients. Persian tea was offered immediately when we sat down, complete with his saffron rock sugar and fresh cinnamon sticks. I'm normally not a big fan of rice in Middle Eastern restaurants unless it's traditional Persian saffron rice or tahdig but this was very good. As a bonus they are open a little later than most restaurants in Sq. Hill. My only disappointment is that I'll have to drive more than 20 miles to return. read more

My wife and I enjoyed our first visit to the Mediterranean Table. The food was excellent, and the service was exceptional and very friendly. We immensely enjoyed the falafel wrap and the dolmas. The falafel was perfectly cooked with the perfect consistency of a crunchy outside but soft center, with fresh vegetables in a perfectly prepared warm wrap that held its shape. Both the tahini and the hot sauces were excellent. Similarly, the dolmas were very fresh and tasty. The staff was attentive and very welcoming. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has more seating than we were initially led to believe. They did a great job of redecorating the former tenant's space. For dessert, we had baklava and Turkish coffee. It was a sweet way to end a delightful lunch. Our only suggestion is for the restaurant to offer better dishes and flatware. Food as good as this deserves better than paper plates and plastic silverware. We are looking forward to frequent visits! read more

This is one of my mother's favorite places to eat (which is high praise, they never eat out because she's too good a cook and is usually disappointed!) so for her birthday we catered it from here. Walad was very accommodating, as I had difficulty deciding what/how much to order. Our large family celebration was a hit! Everything was packaged to easily keep warm and serve, and everyone raved about the seasonings on the kabobs and the special sauces, as well as the babaganoush and esme. The Turkish delight and baklava were wonderful as well. Can't wait to come in to the restaurant and try more things on the menu! read more

What a gem of a new place. First off- food aside, the staff/owners were so welcoming! The hummus was very tasty and flavorful and fresh- the addition of olives really made it unique. Got the shish kebab wrap and expected it to come with some sort of sauce. Instead it was just a somewhat plain mix of juicy meat, onions and tomatoes. I also was unimpressed by the Muhammara. It was described as spicy but didn't have any spice to it. Instead it was a thick dark mixture. I might try this place again but I won't be rushing back. read more

Oh my! Scrumptious food, cute atmosphere and such friendly service! They nailed it! I had the small mixed appetizer with hummus, babaganoush and cucumber yogurt and each tasted delightful! The Lamb Adana kebob was spiced just right, tender meat! I also tried the greek lemon Chicken soup and I will definitely be telling my friends about it and will be coming back for more with the family. So refreshing to not be disappointed by any part of my meal! Oh, and they gave me a little chef sampler on the house while I was waiting for my food which included the Mahummara, a spicy walnut paste, I would have never ordered that but it blew me away and will definitely order some next time! read more

The interior has a decent amount of seating and lots of dried flowers everywhere. Definitely try the hot chocolate!

I saw they have a deal where you can get a baguette, sandwich, and drink for $7. Good deal imo considering the quality of their bread, and it's a good excuse to buy a sweet treat with it!

My wife and I have been going here since it opened, my god...for the price, and frankly, the price range above it too - absolutely the best Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food in the entire city barring maybe the highest end restaurants. Seriously, we eat ethnic food exclusively, this is it man. Everything is made with olive oil, meats are always fresh that day, they don't play around. It is our number one destination for several reasons for food from this region. You will be stunned how authentic and tender everything is for the price, they don't hide behind spices. Service truly treats you like family, great people. Open later than most if needing a late night bite. The muhammara is next. level. SO much depth and richness, how proper, authentic dip should be. I had an incredible dining experience at The Mediterranean Table! I ordered the Branzino fish and the falafel wrap, and both were absolutely amazing. The Branzino fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, while the falafel wrap was full of flavor with the freshest ingredients. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. The restaurant is very clean and has a warm, inviting atmosphere. Just had dinner at the Mediterranean Table and everything was spot on!The chicken, lamb kebabs, and gyro were hands down the best kebabs I've ever had in Pittsburgh. The appetizers were fantastic with so many choices, and the pomegranate tea and saffron tea with rock sugar were perfect. The chickn soup was great, and the baklava was a sweet treat.
