It's really hard to find good juicy burgers at a reasonable price now a days. The Melt did not disappoint! The burger was juicy and cook to my perfection. The sauce on meltburger complimented the whole burger. The shroom burger was also excellent. They were not cheap on the mushroom, it was loaded and for a mushroom lover like me, I loved it. The Parmesan garlic fries was a good selection as our side dish. Definitely recommend this place. The service is ok. Let me tell you why it's ok, the cashier was a little bit on the loud side and I'm sure the people around us heard when the cashier said "paying with the Costco Visa card" Lol but wth! I ordered food before a movie showing at Irvine spectrum. I thought the food would take a long time but it came out really quick. It was fresh and hot. I loved how the ceasar salad had little grilled cheese sandwiches as croutons and how the burger looked exactly like the advertisement. Like the tasty impossible melt burger - big enough to share - plus tasty garlic Parma fries, milkshakes and salads. Out the door for around $50. Excellent handicap access. Plenty of outdoor seating. Well behaved small dog was welcome. Easy computer screen ordering option. Plenty of nearby indoor parking. Pleasant service. So many interesting things on the menu - will need to back to try other options. Sorry they do not have a 7 AM breakfast option. It's sit down fast food. Both my kids like the meltburger with regular fries here. You order at a kiosk right when you enter, and they'll text or buzz you when your food is ready. Our order has always been ready within 10 minutes, so no complaints about the wait. The place is usually crowded and cramped, but luckily spectrum has plenty of outdoor seating. read more

The staff is rude. I was waiting 45 minutes for my food. Went up to the counter and they couldn't find my order. I checked my banking app and I definitely got hit with the charge for the food. I complained to Them about their kiosk not giving me a receipt and two of the girls that worked their laughed at me for it. The tomato soup is my favorite one because it's so perfect. Creamy, robust, light, & I could eat it everyday. I have a huge sweet tooth so the deserts were good, as well. After a horrible service last visit, I decided to come back today, March 2, 2024. I had an offer in my app for a free french fries of any choice. So I ordered my usual barbecue bacon melt burger, and cheddar bacon fries with ranch. This time the buzzer did work and I got my food within the next five minutes of ordering. Thanks to the staff this time for getting my food out promptly with no issues. I didn't get the soda this time but I got the water cup and filled it with filtered water. We drove by Irvine Spectrum Center a lot of times, it's a landmark of Irvine. Lara and I drove from Pasadena to La Jolla for her lab and drove back every Monday and Tuesday, it was always in hurry. This time was the final on Friday, we decide to get there on Thursday and stay overnight for the morning exam. We did have enough time, so we had a chance to have something. We went to Spectrum Center and had a walk, it was St. Patrick's Day. A group of people in green walked by, and the other four youngs sat around a table all with the green necklaces around the wrist. The Pet Kitchen had a green decoration as well. Besides the normal franchise Chiptole, Panda Express and etc. We walked into The Melt. We ordered two hamburgers both at $8.99 before the tax. Both burgers came with a cute pickled cucumber put aside. We cut the burgers in half then we could have both to taste. The Swiss 'n' Shroom MeltBurger had a very strong mushroom flavor which I like. The patty of the Spicy Mission MeltBurger was a little too dry but still acceptable. The spicy was jalapeno not too strong, and obviously sour taste which was good. After all, the mushroom one was better than the spicy one. BTW, the surface of the bun was too oily. Also, the cute pickled cucumber was very very sour, it's too strong for me. read more

The Melt is one of those places where you know you're going to get decent food, no matter what you order. However, that's all it really is: decent. When it comes down to all the food choices in Irvine Spectrum, including the newly opened Top Round roast beef place, the Melt needs to step up their game if they want to compete. Pros: The tomato soup is literally so good. 5/5 baby. You can dip your grilled cheese in there, your mac, anything goes. Maybe not your pickle. Oh, and the pickles are so refreshing and a great addition to the often too cheesy menu items. The burgers are surprisingly delicious here. Always juicy, but if you're in the mood for something more cheese-focused, maybe opt for something else. Cons: The mac and cheese is so good for the first few bites, and then it's just too much. I wish they had a combo where you could just get a super small bowl of mac and cheese. That would be much better. read more
