Delicious food. The burger is a bit overpriced in my opinion, mostly due to the size. But I like it better than Shake Shack. The burger also comes with a pickle spear and that was delicious.
Finally decided to try this place and walking in and walking out a handful of times. I never feel like paying $15 for grilled cheese sandwich. So I ended up getting a burger. The burger was fine. Good brioche bun but the patty was basic and barely any spread. It's a big burger - 1/3 pound patty but underwhelming in flavor. Nice location at the spectrum but parking there is always tough.
Got some lunch over at The Melt in Irvine Spectrum Center. Located next to Panda Express, Chipotle and Yogurtland. We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries, a grilled cheese, fries, and a Philly cheese steak melt. Everyone enjoyed their meals. There is a soda fountain to self serve and they also have specialty drinks behind the counter. Super refreshing on a hot day like today! Awesome service. I think it was Amanda who helped me. She was great!

I've seen The Melt for years but did not realize they serve more than just grilled cheese because I never stepped inside the store until recently to look at their menu. So I came back and ordered a burger for my husband tonight. They were busy as most restaurants there on a Friday night. Hubby really liked his burger. He said it was "pretty good". Meat was good quality meat (supposed to be Wagyu beef, according to their menu description). It was thick and juicy.

Visited the melt at the Irvine spectrum on Saturday afternoon. Got a mac daddy and hubby ordered a spicy chicken sandwich that he said was saucy and yummy with yummy garlic parmesan fries. You can place your order at the counter or at the kiosk. I had visited a melt for the first time in San Jose a year ago and they only had orders taken at a kiosk. I remember feeling annoyed at that location because I was standing there for several minutes and no employee directed me to their kiosk. I ordered at the counter. This location was quite busy and loud. Service was good. An employee asked how our food was shortly after receiving it and another employee brought a free burger item that hubby ate and said was not bad. Soda options by Alameda. Overall good experience at this Melt.

Say Cheese! Perfect spot for beef or chicken burgers, mac and cheese, fries, and shakes. I ordered Spicy Mission Melt Burger with Garlic Parmesan Fries and iced water via cashier instead of kiosk. I visited Melt for the first time and had a great experience. I ordered the 3 Cheese Classic Melt (with classic crispy bread), garlic Parmesan fries, a strawberry shake, and a soda. Everything was delicious. The 3 Cheese Classic Melt was especially impressive--simple, but really well done. The garlic on the fries was bold and flavorful, which I loved. There's an indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. Shoutout to Rachel for helping us out--she was very friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back! read more

My experience with The Melt is better than I thought it might be. It is a small, take out restaurant in the Spectrum, next to Dave and Busters. They have a lot of choices of sandwiches and burgers to choose from. Here are a few of the positives: the food is hot and tasty. I loved my patty melt. The loaded fries were not just good, but excellent. It reminded me of poutine in Canada. We also had a burger that was excellent. The food value is great, large portions, for a very reasonable price. Most of their menu is around $10.00 My wish list would be larger cups for drinks. To balance out the heavy food, maybe some cold salad choices? Macaroni Salad? Potato salad? Fruit? Other choices besides Cesar Salad. This place is highly recommended by me. I do want to come back and try other items. The staff is friendly, their are seats inside and outside. I went to the melt after many years. I remember when they first opened and I loved the restaurant. I couldn't justify going often since it felt unhealthy, but after trying it again I have changed mind. It is so good. Buttery cheesy goodness and I haven't had anything like it in along time. Where do I even begin! The cheese the cheese the cheese, if you're a cheese lover like myself this is certainly the spot! As I try to be a bit healthy when I can I will say I got my Meltburger wrapped in lettuce and I did feel like this picture did not do enough justice they really PACK the meat and cheese into your burger and it's DELECTABLE. I will always come back for the cheese!!! The decor is adorable, they have plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas for this heat! It almost gives an in and out sort of vibe but it's more cutesy! The melt offers some extremely tender burgers in the vicinity, mouthwatering and eye opening burgers. Honestly I would say the price reflects the quality, you're getting a burger plus fries which cost extra that is comparable to some other burger joints, but according to the workers here this is made with Wagyu beef. On a busy day in the spectrum be prepared to wait up to 20 minutes for your food, the fries were seasoned amazing, I should have asked for some salt on the burger it was a tad on the bland side. Never the less tender and packed full which I love! It's a small inside, you'd be lucky if you got a seat, but like the spectrum provides, there's always outdoor tables you can find. Might be worth ordering to go just for that reason. read more
