AHHH, I'm so sorry to the person who gave us coupons to try this place again after writing my original review on how this place was underwhelming. We came back with our little coupon from customer service and realized you had to order in person to redeem it instead of using the tablet, which we were sad about, lol. Upon ordering, the guy that takes our order had no idea how to redeem the coupon, so he literally walks away and makes this girl take our order. She also has no idea what to do, so my poor S.O. is just standing there waiting for something to happen. In the end, they somehow figure it out and processes our order. When our food was ready, the girl literally pushes the bag of food to my boyfriend and doesn't even say anything about it, almost like she was in disgust or didn't like us because we gave them a hard time with our coupon; mind you, we weren't mean about it or insistent on using it. We just gave it to them saying we would like to use this coupon and this is how we were treated. Very disappointed with the customer service... Food itself, we tried something else on the menu and it was definitely better than we had originally gotten the first time, so happy about that, but will not come back after being treated like trash by the employees. read more

GRILLED CHEESE - score! I mean who doesn't love grilled cheese?! It is located in Irvine Spectrum food court [across from Veggie Grill]. It was easy to locate, google map took you right to the location. It has private lot parking as well as parking structure. It has indoor as well as outdoor seating. I noticed that the tables were not wiped, we had to take a napkin and clean it ourselves. The floor was sticky and they don't provide enough napkins with the food. Servers as well as our cashier was helpful and friendly. Our cashier was very patient and gave us her recommendations, she also mentioned that they can make any item on the menu Vegetarian if we prefer. As soon as she said that I jumped at that opportunity and ordered the Well Dressed Fries for myself. I mean it looked amazing on the picture and fries are my weakness! I was little disappointed when I saw the proportion. My favorite item from their menu was Mac Daddy. It was freaken DELICIOUS - especially if dipped in Tomato Basil Soup. Mac Daddy is basically a grilled cheese with Mac N Cheese in the middle, I mean how amazing does that sound!! It usually contains Bacon but our server was kind enough to suggest that instead of bacon if we substitute it with jalapenos it tastes really good and she was damn right about it. This restaurant is filthy. My son and I walked in Saturday 2-23-19 and found this place completely dirty and gross. The grease and dirt on the floor in the door jams is disgusting. The phone and credit card machine on the counter is covered in dirt and filth as well as the grout in the soda counter. I'm extremely disappointed in the place. The food was your typical, run-of-the-mill mac and cheese as well as mediocre grilled cheese. When I asked the woman at the counter the price of a combo, she couldn't give me an answer, and the service overall was disrespectful. There was a Josh Hutcherson looking guy who was quite rude to us when we asked if the place was open, and he was flinging a bag of trash back and forth in front of our table while we were eating. I also don't really understand the appeal towards grilled cheese, mac and cheese, or pretty much anything that takes five minutes to make at home. The prices are pretty high for what is given and there's nothing aside from a little garnish (fried onions?) that makes it any different from what an average person is used to. The cookies and cream milkshake that I ordered was probably the best thing I ordered, but what's really stopping me from going to Jack-In-the-Box and ordering a milkshake there for half the price. And at least if I go to Jack-In-the-Box, I don't have to deal with overblown pricing that forces me to pay premium for a tray of food that looks like it came straight out of a college dorm room. I don't know, maybe I'm being harsh, or maybe the place just sucks that bad... I'll leave that up to you. But if you ask me, don't eat here. It isn't anything special and is definitely not worth the headache. RE (9:52 PM 25/3/19): Regardless if your establishment uses the best ingredients does not change the fact that customers are receiving what is essentially an overpriced Kraft dinner. Look, I really tried to find positives during my visit and even persuaded my party to give your place a try, but the whole experience from the service to the food was not up to par with the business-savvy jargon you tried to rebuttal with. I completely agree that the environment should be taken care of but that idea should also be practiced in the environment of your restaurant as well. There is nothing more appetizing than unhygienic practices being made in the faces of customers ;) ... And while the pricing of your menu was a big turn off, you failed to further elaborate on what separates your service and overall experience from other competing restaurants. In my opinion, your business was not up to par with your peers, and I stand by that. I understand the business side of things - the rent, the labor, the expenses - but it is also up to people like myself to let others know when a place isn't a great as they claim to be - places where the marketing of their product outweighs the actual substance of the meal itself. Until your restaurant realizes and fixes its faults, your business will continue to rely on the income from one-time visitors like myself. I do applaud the use of locally sourced organic food, but do families really believe feeding their children greasy fast food is a good thing just because it is organic? If the goal is to be the healthiest option, why settle for milkshakes, burgers (real or not), grilled cheese, and mac? And the fact that customers have to pay extra because of this is ridiculous. That's like McDonald's putting caviar on a Big Mac or making a non-GMO chicken nugget and advertising it as the next health craze. It just doesn't make sense. Let me tell you this, if you are trying to visit the melt at spectrum, it is your best bet. The food that I ordered yesterday, which was the egg in a hole, was cooked to perfection. Upon this, an Employee by the name of Arden, was very kind and genuine with helping my disabled grandma navigate through the door and even offering to refill her water. The Melt was pretty good for my first try! I've always heard good things. I know it's primarily a grilled cheese joint so I walked in with the intention of getting one but I caved and got a burger. I ordered the Original Cheeseburger because it sounded so damn good. And I wasn't disappointed. Honestly their meat is great quality and their potato buns are so good. Their secret Melt sauce is also a great touch to the burger. Their Naked Fries are basically shoestring fries with some toppings but pretty generic and basic. Not bad though. We also got the Trio Mac n Cheese on the side and it was alright. All of the cheese was concentrated in the middle so that's where the good stuff was. It was a lot of food in total and not as pricey as I'd expect. For all listed above, plus a drink and a double cheeseburger, our total was around $21. Not too shabby for all that food. I visited this place for the first time at the Irvine Spectrum Center. I I never heard of the place, but the menu look appetising and it seems to be pretty packed so thought I would give it a try. After I ordered my food I stopped to look at Yelp reviews and I saw that they weren't very good. After receiving my food I could see what the disappointment was we ordered a melt and a patty melt and they were both barely warm with hard cheese oh, and the fries were fairly cool and under seasoned. Pretty disappointed because the prices were a little higher than they should have paid. I would assume that maybe they had a bad day, but based off of the reviews to seems to be an ongoing issue. Service was fairly quick because they have the option to either order at a register with a attendee or you can order by yourself on the screens in the front. We ordered on the screens and then grab the buzzer, so we wait for maybe about 5 minutes for our food. I would have waited an additional 10 minutes for fresh hot food. I don't think they have any of these franchises in Los Angeles, I'm hardly in that area so I'm not sure if I'll be back. read more

This review is based on one visit. This place is located at the Irvine Spectrum in close proximity to Dave & Busters. I needed to do some shopping so I came early to beat the lunch crowd and popped in. I decided that I would order a build-your-own-burger so I went with a double with cheddar and Swiss Cheeses, avocado, bacon and a fried egg with No Grilled Onions. I also selected the fries with bacon, cheese and cheese sauce. This was an expensive combo and was a setback for fast food. It took about 10 minutes to get my food and guess what? Grilled Onions. I checked my receipt because I know that I told them and it said it 3X. I returned the burger and waited again. I did eat my fries while I was waiting and they were awesome. My burger arrived and was prepared correctly and it looked great and tasted great. This burger was so good, but they usually are when you customize it your way. I suppose that I will try them again at some point but the cost is a deterrent for fast food. Again, my burger was really good. I just hope they can get better with the order accuracy. read more
