We're visiting from out of town and ordered through Door Dash. My son's food was great, but mine, not so much. I ordered a Caesar salad, and there was no dressing. And the rental home we're staying in has no salad dressing, so dry salad for me. Not happy. The service is friendly but I expected the food to be prepared quicker for a fast food establishment especially when you are the only customer there at the time of ordering. The first time I visited, they recommended "The Melt" which was basic (meat, bun, cheese, pickles and jalapeño). The next time I visited, I ordered the Swiss and Mushroom which was delicious and very tasty! I would recommend this sandwich if you love cheese and mushrooms. Overall, the buns are fluffy and soft and the meat is tender and juicy. I would probably return for the Swiss and Mushroom burger. Though, once Shake Shack opens (which is my favorite burger place), I'll be going there for my burger fix. read more

I went to the melt for a quick bite because I'd heard that it had really good sandwiches. I'm also really indecisive but Deandre was incredibly welcoming and kind and had a really sunny disposition which made the experience eating here even better. I love grilled cheese and I love mac and cheese, so when I was looking up Sprinkles cupcakes and saw The Melt in the same shopping area, I knew I had to come here. The gentleman who helped me was exactly that - a complete gentleman. He was incredibly friendly when he took my order. While my nephew and I were eating, the same man came out from the back and when he walked by our table he asked if I needed any boxes and brought one out for me. My nephew and I both had grilled cheese sandwiches, that was gooey and tasted great. The fries were okay. Couldn't really taste the seasoning and their drinks aren't your traditional Coca-Cola or Pepsi brand, so it took me a minute to figure out which one was closest to a Sprite, since I don't drink caffeinated drinks - it's the Orange one, btw. I can't wait to try their mac and cheese and patty melt. I live about 30 minutes away, so I have to go out of my way to get here, but I'll definitely make another trip out in the near future. read more

Additional to my first review I went back to The Melt and enjoyed the Italian melt, and the bacon cheese fries.....delicious. Same great service and the food was also great! Added a star as my order this time was great and exactly what I was looking for! (First time here and ordered the Mac daddy grilled cheese, along with the bacon Mac and cheese trio side. Great customer service, and atmosphere. Downside...there's no flavor. Wish they would use more seasoning or possible a cheese with more flavor.) read more

Fantastic grilled cheese, tomato soup, and sweet potato fries. If you come here looking to fulfill your low-carb diet, you're sorely out of luck. There's only one salad: chicken caesar with glutenous croutons and cheese on top (i.e. lots of calories and fat). But the food is very delicious, and the staff was very friendly. So happy to add this place to my other two favorite burger joints: the grub burger bar on carmel mountain road and stacked at fashion valley mall. Meltburger - tasted good, little different than other places with the jalapeno mixed in the meat. Meat was flavorful. I didn't taste the cheddar cheese. Naked fries - fresh and lightly salted, good texture not too soft or crisp. I added a little more salt to my taste (that's the best way). Diet soda - awful, tasted like a half cola half root beer mix. Dumped half of it and filled the rest of the cup with cherry cola which was fine. Cleanliness - we were there shortly after opening. As the first wave of customers was finishing we did not see any employees cleaning tables. Wait - about 15 minutes (we were 4th order of the day) This shopping center has become very crowded with Whole Foods and all the other restaurants. Parking can be a hassle and drivers need to be very watchful for other cars and pedestrians (some aren't). We time our weekend visits to get here before 11 AM. As more people come into the restaurant I can see that seating and wait times would be more of a problem. Definitely not worth a 30+ minute wait or having to jockey for a table. We'll probably be back 2 or 3 times per year for something a little different. read more

I do not recommend this place. I got the spicy hamburger. It was a very greasy hamburger. Both the bun and the meat were covered in grease. I think they use the 30% fat content in their meat because the meat was so very greasy. No lettuce, tomato are included, just small cut up drab of chopped jalapeños, onion with a slice of tasteless cheese. Whoever gave them a rating of four is surprising. Plus the hamburger was about 8-9 dollars. Nothing comes with it. They do have Tabasco sauce, mustard and catchup. You have to ask for mayonnaise but that was sweet and a bit runny. The hamburger tasted sweet as well. The bun was very sweet as well. The burger is about the size of a Carl junior Star burger. Even a Carl's Junior burger was not as greasy as this hamburger. I normally buy hamburger with 15 or 20% fat content for home, sometimes Kobe beef. However the Kobe beef I have bought was not dripping with grease when cooked as I am very fond of Asian markets and can get good Kolbe beef there as well. That is why I think they use hamburger with 30% fat content in their hamburger meat. I will not go there again. read more

When I went to order, the employee at the register informed my that the guest in front of me placed a $200 order and that my wait would be a while. He was so kind and I had no problem waiting. First off, kinda shady to make a big deal out of the "combo" option on your menu and then have the discount for getting it only be 30 cents. It's not wrong, but it is shady because you only find that out once you have ordered. Just put it on the menu. The food is just covered in grease and the shakes are more ice cream then shake. Also GET A PHONE. I have read several comments about you not being able to call the store. I potentially left something and am currently on crutches so getting there is a journey. So I just wanted to say the food here is awesome! Never disappoints and the customer service has been exceptional on every visit.
