Many of them were not opened all the way (a sign that they might not be the freshest or recently passed) and had a bit of a fishy taste to them. We ended up not finishing them and flagged them to our waiter. The other items, including the 14oz Ribeye ($43) and baby back ribs ($28) were better, though a bit one-note. The bay back ribs in particular were extremely saucy and the corn bread was dry and a bit tough to eat. I had to use a knife to split it apart as it kept crumbling every time I used a fork. Regardless, it seems like a popular spot for a reason and perhaps we just went during more of an off-night. I'd still recommend checking it out but avoiding the mussels if you go.

Pretty decent food, pulled pork and ribs were authentic bbq. they also had other stuff including mac and cheese and chicken fingers which hit the spot. Odd thing was that you could only buy drinks from one vendor, so you had to wait on multiple lines. They had portajohns with hand washing stations outside, and they were all kept pretty clean. and there were tons of garbage cans everywhere, so you were never at a loss for one. There were lot's of tasty cupcakes from a ton of vendors. More than we could sample. the ones we tried were all good, but after a while, even for a guy with a sweet tooth, its all a bit too much. The cupcakes were pricey - $3 each. The parking was a little hectic, and the roads were dusty, so when cars went by it raised this huge cloud of dust, but other than that it was a great day.

The attention to detail, hospitality, and kindness from Christian, the young man who works there, is exceptional. As I wrote before, the bakery shares the parking lot with the Yemeni coffee shop Shibam next door. The Yemeni coffee is just perfect with Sweet Elevation's treats, so don't miss this spot if you visit next door. I hope they can work out on doing something together. I've gotten hooked on Sweet Elevation's chocolate cupcakes. I'm having one as I write this review (these really are the freshest and best chocolate cupcakes) with some Yemeni coffee from next door - who knew how perfectly they go together. I'm very picky when it comes to cupcakes, and these are so soft, fresh, moist, fluffy, with perfect frosting with the sprinkles! Each time! It's really cute inside the cafe. What I'm most picky about is service, and I'm impressed with Christian, he's a respectful gentleman, knowledgeable, and really helpful with recommendations.
