I absolutely love this melting pot. They are amazing they make you feel very welcomed. Everyone is friendly and make sure that every reservation is special. I love the way that they decorate plates even if you're there for a girls night with us flavorful glittery gel. My favorite chocolate is the candy bar. It's not on the menu, but they can still make it and oh my goodness it's to die for. The ambience is very intimate. They also have a wonderful blue cheese salad. If you're looking for a date night restaurant or something just a little bit private where you can enjoy a ladies night with impeccable service and great tasting food. My family and I were visiting Colorado and wanted to eat at The Melting Pot. The last time I ate at the Melting Pot was in college when I lived in Seattle and I remember the food being good, but the experience is what made the meal memorable. All these many years later, the same holds true! I made reservations in advance because we had a party of 12. They were so accommodating and sent me a large party agreement. Everything seemed to be set. When we arrived for our reservation, we had to wait about 20 minutes. I'm not sure if they were waiting for our entire party to arrive, but nobody actually told us why we had to wait. After we were seated, we noticed that the veggie platters and cheese fondue was already placed and set up on our table. Our table was located in a separate room from the main dining area, which was nice because we had a lot of kids in our party. We ordered our drinks and then proceeded to start on our main course of cheese fondue and our salads. One of the cheese fondues was incorrect, so our server changed it to the one we had ordered when I spoke to the manager. Once the plates were cleared, our main course came out with the broth. We decided on the Big Night Out course set since everyone had to order the same main course dish. It worked out well since some people ended up eating more of the meat or seafood. Finally, it was time for the best part of the meal...the chocolate fondue! The original chocolate fondue was so good! It was a a mix of chocolate and peanut butter. Our server also brought out plate of sprinkles that said "Family Reunion". It was such a nice touch that added to our special night as a family. The service was okay, as there were times we needed more water or more drink refills and we couldn't find anybody since we were in a separate room. I think this is the type of place you go maybe once a year! Maybe to celebrate something or if you're looking for a really fun date night. But if we are being 100% honest, I don't know if I can say that this is top tier dining for $65 per person. I mean you can pay that for a three course dinner that is at a local place and not a chain. But overall, you're paying for the experience here... Let's start off by saying that the service was fantastic. I can't remember our servers name but she was really wonderful. There was a slight problem with the bottle of wine we ordered (I guess they don't have at least a bottle of each chilling? Which is odd?). So we didn't get our wine until our salad course. Annoying? Yes. But our waitress was very upfront and super kind so no fault of her own! The fondue was really good! I thoroughly enjoyed the Wisconsin cheddar and all the fixings. It paired well. Salads were fine. They're salads. The actual entree? I mean oil is what my grandparents wanted but if I were to go back, I'd do the grill. I think the oil was just heavy and made my tummy hurt. I wish we could've chose two methods of cooking but I totally understand! The portions are HUGE and we couldn't finish it all. But if that's what you're paying for, I'd rather have that problem. And the dipping sauces were good! Dessert was also really tasty and I loved the dark chocolate fondue. We were sat in a corner and it was kinda quiet. Though we could hear our neighbor and she was swearing up a storm. I've never heard someone say the f word so many times in a nice restaurant and as loud as she did. Some people are vulgar, not my problem. Overall it was a really fun night and a fun experience. But I don't think it is insanely special that you should be going often and spending $200 for three people. Worth the price? Eh. Good experience? For sure. read more

Love the Melting Lot and it's been quite awhile since visiting on. First time to this location and it is larger inside than what you'd think. We had a reservation and got there a few before and sat right away. Walked allll the way through to a cute cubbie area. Our server (forgot his name) was polite and funny. We got the all you can eat four courses which I'd recommend to come hungry. House salads, cheese course was the artichoke spinach, yummy. Got the land and sea combo for main and then milk chocolate fondue for dessert. We were sooo full walking out of there. We did have an issue with a floater in a beverage, promptly replaced and when they brought out a surprise 'ladies night' with champagne the glass was chipped. The manager provided a discount for the glass and while not expected was appreciated. I'd go back when in the city as I enjoyed the entire experience despite a few minor items. read more

Came here for dinner with friends to catch up. Did the full multi course dining experience. Had a wonderful time and as always, the food was delicious. Love the mules here (the little candied ginger is always such a nice touch) and everyone was super friendly. It looks like they have made some renovations or changes to the tables and layout. I'll miss the big circle tables but it looked very lovely inside! I noticed when we went (on Monday) that service was a bit slower than usual, and we had wrong items received at our table. We had two burners and for our meats course, we ordered a coq a vin and mojo but got 2 coq au vins instead. I ordered a custom trio of meats (love the Cajun seasoning on their steak!) but I received a standard meat lovers course instead. It's not like any of these things were deal breakers or "ruined" the meal, but it was something I was looking forward to and it just didn't happen that night. In the past couple of years, I have been going dairy free. To my surprise, friends reserved a 6 o'clock seating here on a Friday night. I was nervous even though online it says they have vegan options. I was so thrilled that they do indeed have a variety of vegan cheese sauces (they also have a vegetable option for dipping, but I do eat meat) the server was wonderful, she knew the menu, and her service and attention were also wonderful. We had never heard of this place and happen to just be walking by and decided to go in for an early dinner. Luckily we were early enough that they had room for us, but normally it seems you should have a reservation. Come prepared to spend about 2 hours. Going through the courses takes a little time but it's worth it and each course was so yummy! You do have come into this type of restaurant with an open mind knowing that you will be doing most of the work but it is a fun experience. Our food was fabulous, but our main service was lacking. Let me find out for you!" - it made the experience less than it could have been. We did, however, get checked on quite a few times by managers and other servers, so overall, we were fine. The experience of fondue is fun and all, but the course I'd GLADLY skip is the main course. Just sign me up for cheese and chocolate with a salad please. The main course, mainly consisting of various meats and potatoes, were inevitably overcooked because it's hard to know how long the various items are cooking for!
