The reservation service is non existent, we came in for our 8pm reservation and nothing was ready, we had to wait 15 minutes to get to our table, and the manager (in white/blue shirt) was right there and didn't acknowledge either us or the other group that were waiting on reservations. When we finally got to our table and the hostess (who was lovely) gave our menus, we didn't see our waiter for another 30 or minutes no water just thirsty.. saw the manager again and she sulked away when she saw us.. Other than that, our waitress Nikki was GREAT!! She was so nice and informative, she knew when to get help from her coworkers when needed and got everything out to us in a timely manner since she wasn't notified of us being sat The food was amazing! We had the 4 course meal with the alpine cheese, coq au vin cooking technique with the lobster (lobster was AMAZING) as to how it's cooked, I'd describe it as "European hotpot" lol. This place is so much fun - be ready to be here for 3+ hours! We came to Bricktown to celebrate our 5-year wedding anniversary and chose The Melting Pot to eat at. We booked a table online a week in advance. When we arrived, we checked in, and there was a short wait to get our table ready. They took us to a booth and had a Happy Anniversary card ready and signed for us. I thought that was kind and a sweet touch. At one point, a lady brought out food for us, and I said, "Hey, thanks, were you one of the ones who signed our card?" and she checked and signed it right in front of us - she was fun to have! Our waiter, Tavion, was so much fun and so incredible. He was a hoot to have around and was very professional in explaining the whole process. We ordered from their 50-year anniversary menu, where they had a few special items. The whole night had four courses: cheese fondue, a salad, a protein course, and a chocolate/dessert course. We had the Grand Reserve cheese fondue, and it was lukewarm at first, but the longer it sat in the pot, it actually got hotter (which is so backwards from normal dining; you get a hot meal and it slowly gets colder, haha). The cheese fondue was super good, but a little one-note, so after a while, I just felt done eating it, even if I wasn't full. The grapes and the pretzel bread were my favorites; in addition, we ordered the rosemary fries, and those were the BEST. My salad was a Caesar salad, and it was really good *without* the Parmesan-Dusted Pine Nuts. I have no idea why those were added, as they tasted like a wall. Seriously! I ate one and was like, 'Oh no, that tastes like drywall,' and my husband thought I was crazy. He ate one also and said, 'Yeah, that tastes like I'm walking down a Lowe's aisle.' Good thing I could pick them off. The meat course was okay. We should have chosen a different broth for our proteins. The Mojo broth (Caribbean flavors) just didn't pair well with The Classic entrees (steak or chicken) that we had. It was fun to use the website to time the cooking of our protein; that made it a fun experience. Just don't refresh or leave the page, as my timers restarted. The cooking timers didn't include the vegetables (mushrooms and potatoes), so we had to guess. In addition, we also ordered some potstickers, but they were just okay to me. My husband liked them. The BEST part of the night was the 24K chocolate fondue. Absolutely delicious. Tavion explained to us that it was a special gold-infused chocolate fondue with gold-covered nuts (of which I stayed away from, haha). He did a show with the flambé of the fondue and let me film it. He was sure to keep us safe. The best bite was the strawberries and chocolate, hands down. The rest of the desserts were banana, vanilla cake, cookie bites, brownie bites, and Rice Krispies treats - but everything tastes good dipped in chocolate. Took my wife here yesterday for a date/late birthday/ early anniversary dinner. She love melting pot. We got here an had about 10 minute wait. We were seating at our table. It took about 10 to 15 minutes before our waiter showed up, Tavion. Super personable. Explained everything. Overall good dude. The only reason why I didn't do 5 stars is due to the fact it took 15 minutes for my wife to get her drink from the bar. After 20 minutesto get a water refill, this actually was refilled by a busboy. The other is it took 15 minutes for my wife to a to go box. I asked for our dessert to be boxed up and the check, we hadn't gotten dessert yet. That took about 15 minutes to get. Whatever you do, do not come here. What a terrible place to try and eat. I used to eat here frequently, but I had forgotten why I stopped. This was the first time I've been back in nearly 3 years. I made the mistake of booking a reservation with my partner tonight. We waited 10 minutes after our reservation was supposed to start to be seated. When we finally were seated, our server took our drink order and disappeared. It took 40 minutes to get drinks or order our food. The server walked past us, made clear eye contact, she even almost mistakenly delivered someone's else drink to us before taking it back to its intended destination, but she hadn't brought our drinks or taken our order. After another 20 minutes, our server let us know they actually weren't able to make the cheese we ordered. She grabbed a menu so that we could pick something else, and we ended up picking a pretty terrible cheese. Don't get the queso whatever. After a while, the server eventually brought out our entrees and brought me the wrong one. I said something, she tried to tell me I was mistaken. I pulled up the menu online, and she called it a "kitchen mistake." The server for the table next to us checked on us more frequently than our server--because he obviously felt bad for us. On top of that, we watched as the people who were sat at the same time as us left an hour before we did. After the two hour mark, we were both completely fucking over this experience. We skipped desert and like half our meals. The total still somehow managed to be over $100, but I was too over everything to fight it. I wouldn't have minded spending full price had our server made any attempt to make up for the terrible service. However, it instead felt like she just doubled down. The restaurant wasn't busy; they just didn't care. It was a pretty quiet Thursday night, and they still made no effort to make our experience enjoyable. I'm lucky this was just a spontaneous date night and not an anniversary or something more important. Please don't taint your important or even just fun nights with this place. We massively regret not just walking out instead of informing the host that we hadn't ever received our drinks. I will never be back, and I will adamantly ensure no one I know makes the same mistake. A staple in downtown OKC dining, we've been coming since we moved here in 2006. They did remodel once and made it bigger, the booths are cozy. The menu has been revamped a couple times. The salads are solid, the House, Caesar, and California. Can't speak to the Strawberry Pecan Salad though. We now always do the Create Your Own with the mojo. This way we can customize on what we want. I must say I feel like the quality is not what it used to be. We used to be able to get the Atlantic Jumbo Shrimp, now even the menu just says "Shrimp" and that's what you get, just regular any supermarket kind shrimp. We always order the Pure Dark Chocolate Fondue for dessert. I think this is the true reason why we come here, lol. New Years Eve was a mess. Understandably, it was busy. But for a table of 3, I am utterly disappointed. We arrived around 7:30 for our 7:45 reservation and were seated around then. This MP location was well dressed for NYE! Fun little hats and blowers! We had a new server and intended to give him grace when he let us know that. It wasn't until about 8:30 that our order was taken. We didn't even get water until about 8:50. We finally received the first course (pre-prepped potato croquettes) around 9:15. We received our other drinks ordered around 8:30 around 9:20 pm. For the $75 per person, the New Years Deluxe dinner was not very pleasant. Bitter ravioli and unseasoned meat. Not to mention that the new waiter got our order wrong and we had to wait AGAIN. He kept bringing things out that were never ordered and proceeded to come ask us several times what it is we ordered (which he wrote down by the way). The Flaming Turtle was the saving grace of the meal, however, I recommend teaching the waiters how to do this process without nearly setting your patrons or their table on fire. We didn't leave until about 11:15. A long wait for a disappointing meal. This location has some work to do. read more

The server was nice but this was our first time and we were confused about how the menu worked with no explanation from our server unless we asked. The food tasted sub par. The cheese tasted weird though it was a cool novelty. Also, for four people there should be a minimum of 2 hot pots. Ambiance was mediocre at best. It didn't stand out but wasn't the worst. Just a very disappointing experience overall and will probably never visit again. Anyone that leaves a review better than 1 star is rage baiting. This is the second time we've chosen The Melting Pot to celebrate our anniversary, our 12th this year. My husband paid extra for a date night package and it's something worth the extra expense. They also have a full service bar and wine selection so if that's important to you then put your mind at ease. We did a four course meal, starting with a cheese fondue. We went for a spinach and artichoke dip which is a different choice from the regular selections. It was served with a wide variety of breads and vegetables and Granny Smith apples which were my personal favorite. The second course was a nice Caesar salad, a good foil for the "richer" cheese course. It was a delicious plate and not some overlooked placeholder like you might receive at other restaurants. The third course was the main entree. We settled on the steak lovers which was filet mignon, peppered steak and a teriyaki sauced steak. There are vegetarian options too. It was delivered with a vegetable platter of mushrooms, broccoli and potatoes that you see on the left side of the fondue pot. On the right is a wonderful and varied choice of sauces. Each one was a unique and tasty accompaniment to dip with steak. The cooking sauce we chose was the Coq Au Vin. So you take the raw meat and vegetables and cook them in the broth to your temperature level. They have an app that helps you track cooking times if you want help. The last course is chocolate!! We picked the Flaming Turtle which is set ablaze and makes for a great show. Several years ago we did this with our grandkids and they were in awe of the magic. The chocolate comes with an excellent selection of dipping choices. The chocolate marshmallow dipped into the chocolate sauce was almost too much chocolate, if that's even possible. lol The cooking process allows you and your significant other, family members or friends a time to share in conversation and make connections. I want to especially recognize Morgan who guided us with expertise through the many and varied options. She took pictures of us and really made the night even more special. We ordered our appetizers. We got our cheese and after that, our salad's. It wasn't until we got our main entree when I reminded him that I did in fact order adaptizer and still had not received them. Our waiter was not concentrating on our table at. Wait time for refills were also extremely slow, leaving us waiting for drinks sometimes. I received an email about a family meal For a certain price. When the bill came, it was $70 more than what it was supposed to be. They knew that they made a mistake with the email. And did not send out revised email saying that there would be additional cost for children over the age of 13. (No mention about age) Additionally, I had to get the bill adjusted Because the waiter charged me for drinks when they were supposed to be included. They were not clear with their email and they did not work with me to correct the situation. This was the second time that this was not a good visit at all. The service was very good and we were able to get someone else into the party despite the restaurant being closed. They didn't hustle us out and were quite accommodating. My only issue is that for meat cooking for fondue, we had to cook the meat ourselves. This was not so comfortable for me and some of the people I was sitting near. My friend who'd gone to a location in Connecticut said they cooked the meat for you at the table vs. you having to do that yourself. That feels like a health risk and a contamination problem waiting to happen. I'd have had a better time if I'd not had to guess and hope I'd fully cooked my meat.
