I was so impressed by our experience at The Mighty Axe. My husband and I are competitive axe throwers with IATF and we wanted share what we love about axe throwing with our family. The Mighty Axe is the closest to where they live. As a competitive axe thrower I was initially a little thrown off by the projection of targets and games on the boards, but it became what we loved most about our experience. Especially for a large group, with people who are first time axe throwers, and for people who are just throwing axes for fun, the games they have to choose from make the experience more enjoyable. Grant was our axepert. He was very friendly and gave us a brief safety review. He also spent time teaching people in our group who had never thrown an axe before. He checked back in with us a few times while we were there to make we were doing well. He also gave more pointers to newer throwers to help them hit the board more consistently. Kim was our bartender and she was also very friendly. The beer list is pretty good with a wide variety of beers and they have plenty of snacks available. Lastly, the entry area is warm and welcoming with plenty of seating and the bar along one side of the room. It's a great place to hang out even if you are not axe throwing. read more

Second time here and second time having Jessa as my axepert! She is amazing, sweet, and made everything so enjoyable. I really hope I can keep having her as my axepert! The drinks are great, all my run ins with staff have been enjoyable. For people arguing about the presidential targets (which you actually get docked a large amount of points if you hit the target) there are plenty worse games torturing presidents on children's game websites and apps. I think we should be concerned about that before we get mad about drunk people laughing and throwing an axe at a picture of someone they dislike. Just my two cents. Bazel was an awesome axe coach. Checked in on us consistently and made sure we were comfortable and confident with throwing the axe. He even hyped us up when we were finding our groove lol. Marshal is a great bartender and very knowledgeable about the beers on tap. Gave me some good beers and me and my girl enjoyed ourselves. Only bad note is that you need to make sure you have closed toed shoes. Wasn't aware of that at first during check in but luckily I lived close so no a huge inconvenience. read more

Went to the Mighty Axe with friends after wanting to go for some time. We had fun with the activity and friends but unfortunately had problems with the service that really dampened the experience. We arrived and went back to our throwing station promptly at our reservation time, 6:30. Our instructor, Jessa, gave us a thorough instructions and guidelines. Were told we could order food and drinks via a QR code. We placed a beverage and food order right away. Our friends got their drinks right away and their food arrived about 15 mins into the game. After 45 mins, our game was coming to an end and we still had not received our food. Went to the front to ask if we could extend and play for another hour. They were able to accommodate and we mentioned our food never arrived. The front staff explained they were having issues with the printer / system and that our food ticket never printed, along with our (separate) 2nd drink order. They apologized, said they would take care of it right away and gave us an ETA. We had ordered fries and a pizza. 20 mins into our second hour, our food still had not arrived. I went back to the front to inquire and they explained the order had not been printed, again. They apologized and said our food would be out in 10 minutes, tops. Our fries came out within 5 mins. After 20 mins, my husband went to the front to cancel the pizza since it still had not arrived. At this point, we ordered it 2 hours ago. He was told to go talk to the bartender to get a refund. He asked the front staff if they could handle it since our game only had a few minutes left and they said yes. Although the staff were nice, having to constantly go up and check our food and drink order during the game was a real bummer since it is a costly activity. I hope they fix their system or check on the patrons if they know it is faulty. read more

My husband and I had such a great time here. If you're a bit lost, it's in the shopping area - just park nearest to Five Below and Aldi. I wished we had a closer location to us. This spot is perfect for date night or a night out with friends/family/co-workers. We loved the cabin and woodsy ambiance - very on brand with axe throwing. I love how there's a front waiting area where you can grab drinks and relax until it's your turn. When we arrived, we were greeted by Marshal. We started off by ordering our drinks - a michelada and a hard ice tea. I've only gone axe throwing twice before this time, so I was super rusty. We were assigned an instructor (I'm sorry, but I forgot his name but I think he had long hair). He was super informative and taught us the basics of everything. We both really enjoyed the variety of the types of games they offer. There were Zombies, Connect 4, Bottles, and so much more. There's plenty of free parking in the lot. Overall, highly recommend this spot! The pricing is pretty decent too! read more

This place is definitely cool. Beer and throwing axes, what else do you want. The only gripe is it's dam expensive. 35 an hour just to throw axes hurts the pockets. Price alone deters me from visiting again. If it was about 20-25 max for an hour I'd feel better about coming back. But overall it's a fun spot. 4.0 out of 5 for me. read more

I was overall extremely disappointed. We had a reservation for 8:30 for 5 people. Around 1 PM I received a phone call asking if they could move us to 9:00 due to multiple parties and booking times. I said ok. I knew 9 would be a late start but leaving by 10 would still work with everyone in my party's schedules. We arrived at 7:30 because we had planned to prior to the change of schedule. It gave us time to get some drinks and food. Which were very good. At 8:30 I spoke to the front desk to make sure they knew we were there because on their email it said to arrive 30 minutes early. They had checked with us right after we arrived but in an hour many people came and went and I wanted to make sure we didn't get lost as they were fairly busy. At 8:55 I went back up to ask if we needed to do anything for the safety demonstration stuff they said on the website and email and they said they would go over it at 9 when we get called back. At 9:10 a girl said they would be calling us back in a few minutes. At 9:27 they called us back to our lane. Did the demonstration and set us loose at 9:30. We were starting to throw at the time we had originally expected to leave. I understood moving us back when they called but then an additional 30 minute delay. Due to the delay 4 of the 5 members of my party had to leave before the hour time because of the time and babysitters and what not. The actual throwing was fun, the facility was nice, the food and drinks were great, the guys helping with the axe throwing were great and made it fun. But the disorganized time management took away a lot from the experience and made me wonder if it was worth the cost (Group of 5 with the hour lane charge and food and drinks was well over $300). Overall if they managed their time better I wouldn't have any issues but without utilizing the full hour and no apology for their delays it left me with an unsatisfied feeling. read more
