The food has always been mediocre here. Nothing special, but nothing bad either. Just your average food that anyone could prepare for themselves at home. If it weren't for the awful service I would have given them three stars for their food. The only real highlight of this place is the building, and that's just "cool" from the outside. When you enter the building you can't even tell you are in the milk bottle. The room is small, outdated, and could definitely use a facelift. I've eaten here many times, and the the service is always bad, but this last visit was the worst (& it was for take-out, how do you screw that up?! lol). The staff always seems to have an attitude, but my last visit was the worst!!! I ordered one breakfast to-go: Scrambled eggs with cheese, toast and home-fries. When I got home and opened the box I was completely grossed out. A fork, knife, napkin, 5 ketchup packets, and paper salt and pepper packets were thrown directly on top of my food. My food was blended in and mixed around with all of this dirty, hand touched, exposed to the world for who knows how long, goodness. Hungry? I think not. So, I called. I honestly hate complaining, but cummmon. When I explained what happened to the girl that answered she was clearly mad, and said "honestly, I don't see what the big deal is, I would eat it", and proceeded to tell me that "she didn't have time to argue with me", and then told me to "screw off". REALLY!? I will never come back here again. Gross experience, and and more gross service. Mel's diner is across the street. Save your self some aggravation and eat there instead. read more

This place is fantastic! Have I had better, yup. More interesting, yup. I give it five stars for 3 reasons: value, quality and contributing to America's obesity epidemic. Value: this place is the most reasonable breakfast joint I'm aware of in the area. Is it getting a bit long in the tooth in some ways, sure, but I'm generally there for breakfast after I'm too lazy to cook, so who am I to judge. Quality: they know how to cook eggs. I prefer over -medium, which most short-order cooks have trouble with; they nailed it every time. They do their omelettes in a classic French style, the taste and texture is sooo much better. Coffee, I'm a bit particular, but only because I drink it black: there's is fresh, not bitter and flavorful. The sweet toast is amazing! Obesity: I love a good pancake, and there's are fantastic. I order 2 every time, but I can barely get through half...they are the size of the plate. The muffins are also huge! Look, this place isn't going to win any awards, but what they do they do very well: serve good food, consistently prepared, in large portions. Bring a friend, have breakfast, drop a $20 on the table and your server will be happy they just got a 35% tip- that's why this place gets 5 stars. read more

Best breakfast ever. In the area to visit some friends and were early, so we stopped at the first place we came to. Friendly waitstaff. Great prices and the food was really good. "Fast, friendly, yummy" as my wife put it. The pancake was the size of the plate, the sausage side was two large patties and the side of hash was a heaping side plate filled. Tasteless pancakes, cash only. There was no flavor to anything my family ordered, but of particular note, the chewy flavorless pancakes were startling. I thought it impossible for such a thing to exist because a little buttermilk and vanilla go a long way. I am pretty confident that these were made from flour, guar gum and water. Very disappointing considering we waited 6-7 months between visits in case the cook had an off day. Apparently not. We will not be returning. read more

Great Place to eat breakfast! Eating inside of a huge Milk bottle...not many can say that they have! Food is great! The wait staff..awesome!

This used to be a great breakfast place . Today at 1pm we went for breakfast 5 tables had people and one person at the counter total of no more than 10 people. . There were two waitresses a blond and a shorter girl with a baseball hat on. We had to wait 15 min just to get coffee as the shorter waitress had was busy talking to the man at the counter. 3 older men came in and she sat with them for about 10 min talking.got them their drinks and I finally asked if she was our waitress. She said I be there in a minute. Finally came and took our order. After 25 min. One of the older men had soup and he told her it was cold . Took another 10 min for her to bring him another. The menu is pretty basic, and the food is nothing too special. It's the spot for a cheap and quick breakfast. The servers are super friendly, and the wait is usually rather small. I do enjoy coming here, but if you are looking for gourmet breakfast, I would go elsewhere! read more

Love this place! Staff is very friendly and always good for an idea when not sure what to get. I don't eat breakfast cause I'm not a breakfast person but the lunches here are delicious. The club sandwiches are HUGE and yummy! Best part of this place is the ice cream! Especially the frappes, they are always just perfect. Not too thick and not too thin. The Milk Bottle has what I like... A homely feel, the atmosphere, decorations, the friendly staff and the specials are always worth looking at. Oh ya one more thing, the clam chowder is delicious! Food: Decent to good. Typical diner food with a couple of twists here & there, but nothing special. We had the linguica sandwich, club, & Bottle burger all of which were ok. Servers were very nice, but the service itself was a little scattered. The most special thing about the place is the building. For me, that made it worth the trip. Been going to this local gem for years. Pretty standard diner food, but with a great staff,great food portions and a wonderful atmosphere. The portions I've always received are large and will surely fill you up. For the price, I think you'd be hard pressed to find comparable portions of their very tasty food. I like the 3 egg & meat omelet which comes with 3 beaten eggs and (lots of) bacon, sausage, ham and linguica for the omelet. Also included is a large portion of home made home fries and 2 large slices of toast. For only $7, I'd say it's a winner in my book. I'll be going back many, many times. I've stopped going to the milk bottle because well its just not that good. I can make a better breakfast at home. And they don't accept debit or credit. I think its just a blah breakfast. Its somewhat pricey...I really wish they would redo the menu and freshen the place up a bit. The milk bottle building is always a draw for the kids (they really think its full) but I just drive by and go to Mel's or Friendly's. read more

We are from out of town and wanted a locate place. It was so disappointing. Food was out of a can, juice was not fresh either the only thing homemade or fresh was the ice cream and potatoes. Everything else had way too much salt. Restaurant was busy so service was really slow. Overall not exciting. Not a great out of town experience. read more

Going there on a dreary rainy day with my daughter, it was a treat to go into such a cheery and warm place. The help were very friendly and the service was fast. The omelette that I ordered was as flavorful as I've ever had and the coffee was surprisingly good. Try the raisin toast. My daughter loved her grilled cheese with tomato and her fries were perfect and not greasy. Even though it is out of the way for us to get to, we will be going back once the weather gets warm so that we can enjoy the outside seating. read more

went here for breakfast... had to SPIT OUT the home fries, EWW... my western omelet was "edible", grilled english was ok also.. waitresses were nice.. my husband didnt even bother with his pancakes bc he already knew how gross they would be, so he got a BLT, cant mess that up right? he said it was OK, not great ... came with some more GROSS home fries... tasted like they used bad potatoes, and I'm not one for spitting food out in public.. wouldn't come back -- stick to a chain restaurant like ihop, at least they wont serve you food thats gone bad. read more
