I really thought this place was gonna be all hype but it was actually so good. I got the s'mores milkshake with graham cracker, marshmallow crème, chocolate chips, ice cream, and whipped cream. I also got the chocolate covered strawberries. Also really good. Small portion but still a fun treat if wanting to participate but not have a whole milkshake. Open late. Spots to sit inside.

Wanted a Saturday afternoon treat so decided to stop in here as it was close to our hotel. So many options to choose from and our server shared that we could easily order a peanut butter and a coffee milkshake, if we didn't want the gourmet options. Then they offered us free samples of chocolate, what an unexpected yet pleasant surprise. There was plenty of seating available and we enjoyed our milkshakes.

Beautiful restaurant, a prime location plus a flamboyant menu with many options. They have just about every type of milkshake you could ask for, the birthday cake is just amazing!

Service was beyond amazing! The ambiance is phenomenal! And of course my husband and I made a late night trip to The Milk Shake Factory for a mini date. I believe he ordered The Peanut Butter Brownie and I got The Banana Foster! Both were equally as delicious and fulfilling! Definitely going back soon!

Most consistent milk shake I've found anywhere whether I'm at the east liberty location, downtown, out in the southside slopes. Workers tend to be consistent making the shakes. Also each location has a similar good brand vibe of clean and classy. My favorite is the chocolatier. If you are ok having brownies and chocolate chips coming up the straw and love chocolate it's a must try. Their simple milkshakes are great as well. Also a fan of the peanut butter chocolate... may be seeing a pattern here (chocolate)

While visiting the Pittsburgh area a friend told us that we had to try the Milkshake Factory. I would agree, this is a must try if you are in the area, the shakes were incredible! We tried the chocolate dipped strawberry shake which had chocolate chips and bits of strawberry throughout. If you love strawberry, you gotta try it. My husband tried the Cookie Jar shake and said it was one of the best shakes he has ever had. Both were toddler approved by our kids as well

Being a huge fan of milkshakes, I knew I had to visit this place. Even though it's a chain (I tend to avoid chains when I travel), it is only in the Pittsburgh area so it was new to me. Also, I heard great things about it from locals. The interior was spacious, shiny, and clean with a few seats and tables by the windows. For my milkshake, I picked the S'mores one, which is a toasted marshmallow shake with hot fudge and graham crackers, topped with whipped cream and a piece of signature chocolate. The presentation was lovely, boasting a pale brown base, with marshmallow fluff and hot fudge sauce showing in the middle. It tasted absolutely delectable! The milkshake was perfectly thick, delightfully rich, wonderfully creamy, and I loved the sweet, bold flavor of the marshmallow base. There were strong notes of velvety smooth chocolate, and bits of delicate graham cracker flavor throughout. The whipped cream added to the yumminess, as did the super cute milk chocolate piece. There were a decent variety of shakes, though I would have liked to see a coffee based one. I'm happy I got to try this place out. I would certainly return to try other flavors, such as Peanut Butter Brownie or the current special, Tiramisu.

I like to get the dairy free milkshakes from here and they are normally pretty good. There has been times where the milkshake wasn't completely mixed up but I come here a lot and that's not always the case. The staff is always polite. It's normally pretty busy inside. Most milkshake factories I have been to have a small inside so there is not a lot of seating options when it gets packed.

I haven't lived in Pittsburgh for a few years but recently when I've come back I've noticed that the milkshake factory stores have pretty much taken over the area. Never in my life have I seen so many milkshake stores in one city, and I can't say I'm sad about it. Every time I come home I have to get a milkshake whether it's 30° or 90°, and let's face it when is it 90° in Pittsburgh? The milkshake factory has sort of an old-school somewhat diner feel to it but with a wildly modern flare. It's upscale and classy, but still holds true to an original malt/milkshake shop. That's typically when I go I always get a strawberry milkshake, but this time I wanted to try something new but again I didn't wanna go to far left so I just went with the standard chocolate milkshake. But if you ever once an amazing milkshake get the chocolate dipped strawberry milkshake it's a strawberry shake with hot fudge and chocolate chips, and it's top with whip cream and a piece of chocolate. But the classic chocolate milkshake was just what I needed the classic is five dollars and they're gourmet milkshakes or seven dollars. There's only one size available so that makes ordering very easy. Milkshakes are made to order and typically take 2 to 3 minutes give or take depending on how busy they are luckily when I've been there I've not had to wait long at all. I get my milkshake I'm out the door and I sip on my milkshake this is the perfect consistency. It's not too thick it's not to runny, it's just right!

Service was really nice I really like the design of this place it's very clean cute and modern. They have really good milkshakes too. A little on the pricey side but the shakes are really good

Several great spots I know carry these ice cream sandwiches (Pittsburgh Taco Boys, Burghers in Millvale, among numerous others. I tried my first Leona's sandwich from the Millvale restaurant). Some supermarkets carry them too, I think. I had their lemon meringue ice cream sandwich. Man, it's really good. The sandwich part is sturdy and holds all the great ice cream together. The ice cream is fresh and flavorful, and quite sweet. I just really enjoyed it. Yes, decently pricey but high quality, so I think it's worth it.
