I may have opted not to purchase my items here if that was the case. Ordered one of their turkey sandwiches to-go, a day old berry scone, and a mocha. The sandwich was very large and fresh. Was going to purchase what looked to be delicious scones and a danish... when I watched 3 huge horseflies fly around in the bakery container. Then one of the horse flies landed and literally released a substance on the danish. I was just about to order. The associate/ employee watched as the fly landed on the danish. There's no doubt that the pastry most likely was a good tasting...but there's no way I would want to voluntarily eat food that has been contaminated by flies.. (horse flies). The fact that an associate that comfortable with flies landing on the food Makes me think that it's always like this. That is why I gave this such a low rating, despite not tasting any food. We stopped at The Nest by Dough Dough on a rainy day for a pick-me-up coffee treat while on our way to find Clam Chowder in the Astoria area. Our coffee drinks were delicious, as were the two amazing looking pastries we ordered - a sour cream and lemon curd olee, and a cheddar and chive biscuit. Then....we noticed that they had Clam Chowder, so we ordered that also! The chowder was epic!!! Definitely some of the best I've ever had, period - it was full of fresh ingredients and the perfect ratio of clams and potatoes in each bite!! It was definitely made with love! We also chatted with the owner about local hiking trails for several minutes and he offered us several recommendations for our next trip to the area. We love finding small businesses with friendly vibes, and where quality and service are important - The Nest checks all the boxes and we will 100% make it a point to stop there whenever we're in Warrenton. read more

We have been getting sweet baked goods from here since they opened...was so focused on the incredible pastry (and dog bones they make in house!) that we never looked up at the menu board to see they make sandwiches! As a local who lives in the community right down the street, I REALLY want this place to succeed so badly, but every time I've gone in there, it was just so underwhelming. First of all, I have yet to see a menu, or even a price list. The last time that I went in, except for the pastry case, there were two prices listed: $6.50 for a SLICE of pizza, and $5/8 for soup. While I went there for a slice, I am not going to pay $6.50 for one. I may or may not go back for a full pie at some point. . . based on the reaction to the rest of this review, Now, we are smack in the middle of the Christmas Covid spike, yet there was not a mask to be seen. Not on the cook, not on the cashier, not on the customers. I wouldn't let a customer ruin the rating, but the workers, who are likely the owners, I am not inclined to give a pass. There was simply no effort whatsoever made. While I personally don't care too much about masks, I am around lots of people with compromised immune systems, so I try to avoid unsanitary situations for their sake. And then, as I was about to order a croissant anyway, it went from irritating to yucky. In dealing with a customer in front of me, the cashier proceeds to touch the food, (no gloves), then handle his money, rubs his face, touches the food again bagging it up, hands the customer his purchase, and then turns to the next customer in line without even considering washing his hands. After that, I couldn't do it. I truly hope that they get their stuff together. I'll probably give them another shot once tourist season starts up in the hope that they read up on basic sanitation techniques (and post a menu, and hopefully don't charge $6.50 for a slice....) read more

This is a local bakery in Sunset Beach. They have the best coffees different flavors to choose from. Their bakery offers fresh pastries. They also sell day old pastries for less $2. If that doesn't bother you. I hate to see wasted food so I usually buy a few of these. The owners and employees are friendly and courteous. Parking is on the street. Love this place! read more

We love this place! We were staying in Seaside, and when we found out that the owners of Dough Dough Bakery (which was closed that day) had a place in Warrenton, we headed on over! We were happy to see the owners there, and several employees; it has such a great, down-to-earth feel of a family run place. We got the cinnamon roll, a lemon curd pastry, a marionberry scone, and a bear claw. Everything was delicious - top notch! When we go to the Oregon Coast, Dough Dough Bakery is always on our list of places we *must* go to, and now we are adding The Nest to that list. Go there. You won't be disappointed. read more

The pizza! Nest strikes a home run with their take and bake or order by the slice pizza. I bought a pesto margherita take and bake pizza home to Portland. Amazing thin and delicious sourdough crust with a tasty smear of pesto and tomato sauce. I am gluten sensitive and this crust did not bother me. Hurray! read more
