We forged ahead as we had the place to ourselves and it was peaceful. Unfortunately the food we got was run of the mill frozen Sysco food that would barely be passable at a high school stadium, and all at gourmet food prices. The menu may have been limited because of Louder Than Life, but that wasn't stated anywhere, nor does it alter the quality. We also got charged for alcohol we didn't order. Despite that, the saving grace was our server Ashley, who was delightful.

Plus the portion is great and you could share with 3 to 4 people. The dipping sauces included marinara, and a smoky ranch. We also split the fish sandwich minus the jalapeño. It had great flavor, but my husband joked about it for the rest of the night about how small that it was. He was unimpressed with the portion against the cost of the dish. It came with a side and we picked vinegar, slaw, it was pepper and a bit spicy so he asked for sugar packets to add to it. We noticed that many of the entrées and small bites included some sort of pepper or jalapeño. Definitely something to be aware of if you come here to order. Our most disappointing item was the bread pudding dessert. I rarely order dessert, but it sounded so good. This item is not true bread pudding. It was more of a cinnamon muffin with far too little bread pudding. Bourbon glaze on it. It was obvious that it wasn't freshly made and had been heated up in the microwave with some fresh fruit surrounding it. I would not recommend ordering this. Service was fantastic and very attentive. It was nice to sit and relax before our show. Plenty of seating and on a nicer day that isn't breaking heat records. They also have a fantastic patio with plenty of fans. It was easy enough to grab a meter while we visited. Street paid parking is a mess. We will definitely revisit Down One.
