I love this wine bar! I haven't been back in years because I moved away. However, I've been in the area more and wanted to stop in. There is plenty of free parking in the area. I stopped in on a Tuesday around 4:30 pm. I was able to be seated with no wait at the bar. The staff are knowledgeable about the wine and were able to help me pick a wine I liked based on my preferences. The restaurant is small so making a reservation ahead of time is never a bad idea. If you want a tasty appetizer, try their baked Brie. Their meatball bolognese makes a great meal. Their food tastes fresh and homemade. Definitely give them a try. read more

Late night landed at the airport. Called to place an order before the kitchen closed. My arrival time was before the estimated arrival time according to gps, so I asked them to put a rush on it. They said they'd see what they can do. The place was packed when I arrived. They invited me to sit at the bar while I waited. The bartender poured me a glass of water and offered me a drink while I waited. I declined. My food came out in a few minutes. It wasn't as long as they estimated, thankfully. I was happy they hustled cuz it was late and I had a long day of travel. The food was wrapped up nicely. The burger was fantastic. The fries were good too. I would clearly get this same order again but hopefully next time I can dine in, and have a drink as well. Appreciate their service and expediency. read more

Brix is a local institution of great food and local ownership. When you walk in, you will be greeted with a smile and they remember your name and drink. The encrusted brie and the scallops are my two favorite appetizers. One being incredibly flavorful oozing with toast points, and the scallops are looked with a perfect sear. The pork chop with risotto is a top seller, the pastas are unique and the filet delicious with its accompaniment sauce. Tyler and the crew are on top of it and you'll always have a drink that's filled. Closed Sunday and Monday, be sure to go earlier that 8:30 as the kitchen closes 15-20 minutes before close around 9 for the most part. Always a pleasure. read more

The food was very tasty. There were two of us eating dinner. The Grilled Salmon with the cherry reduction was cooked perfectly. It arrived at the table hot, and the seasonal veggies (broccolini, Brussels sprouts and sautéed peppers) were also very good. We also ordered the Blackened Scallops on a bed of creamy grits, which were so delicious. I had the House Salad, which included green apple slices, blue cheese, cranberries and almonds. Our server was very knowledgeable and made some great wine recommendations. We had Moscato and Sauvignon Blanc. They were generous pours and priced right. The atmosphere is muted with low lighting. A long copper topped bar, full cocktail menu, engaging talented staff, and a great selection of unique beautiful wines. My wife and I stopped by Brix after a Saturday of running errands because she used to check it out frequently years ago. It's a small place, was really busy being a Saturday night, and we didn't have a reservation. Luckily we were able to get seated in about 20 minutes due to the great staff, but I'd definitely suggest making a reservation. We started with the fried calimari and it's honestly some of the best calimari I've ever had. My wife had a salad and scallops for her meal while I went with the Bison Burger. It was cooked perfect and was a very thick half pound burger. The truffle fries weren't as "truffley" as I would like but were still good. I was expecting a great experience when I went to Brix based on who had recommenced ( An executive Chef and a Food Expert) and their recommendations could don't have been more spot on. It is a small restaurant in a Kroger shopping center so it stays crowded. I was there on a rainy Wednesday and it tables were filling up as fast as they became available. They do not accept reservations so be prepared to wait if you get there durning traditional dinner time. We started off with adult beverages and ordered Calamari. Most excellent. Cooked perfectly and lightly breaded. I ordered the Atlantic Salmon and man was it good. The mushroom risotto was some of the best I have had. My wife ordered the Braised Beef Short Ribs Ragu and refused to share. Our friend ordered the 12oz Bone in Pork Chop. She was gracious enough to share a taste and it very very good. We concluded the evening with an order of Bread Pudding served with ice cream again a most excellent dish. The service was as good as the food. We will definitely will be back!!! read more

The service was helpful and at the server's recommendation I chose the appetizer scallops for my meal. The dish was delicious and the perfect portion! My only disappointment was my wine, which I didn't love (and was never asked by the server if my guest and I enjoyed our selections). I paid it little mind, because it was in fact my choice, until I received my tab with the wrong wine listed--I ordered a Grenache and according to my tab was served Syrah. We have gone to Brix every year for Valentine's dinner, it's been our tradition for the last three years when we found it. Little did we know this hidden gem would become our favorite restaurant to go to! We have never had such amazing service anywhere and the food is unbelievably delicious! You will never have an empty glass or a dirty dish on your table. The entire staff, including the owner herself work together as a team to make sure of it. When we went last night we not only had one "server", we had three wonderful and knowledgeable people keeping our wine glasses full, helping us create our perfect salad and dinner, and swiping any empty dish from our table as they walked by.
