Went back to Mitten after a visit that didn't quite hit last time, and it really confirmed my thought that that one was just a fluke. I've been here before and loved it, and this experience was much more in line with what I know them for. We took a quick walk over from our apartment and ordered the pepperoni and the pesto chicken pizzas and both were super flavorful, well-balanced, and just really, really good. The service was great too. Everything came out quickly, and we had two different staff members checking in on us, which made the whole experience feel easy and well taken care of without being over the top. Overall, such a smooth and enjoyable visit, and definitely a reminder toI keep coming back since we live SO close!!

I ordered a pizza and six pack of beer to go. Both were fabulous. The pizza has such fresh quality ingredients, including whole roasted garlic cloves and really great mozzarella cheese.

Definitely lived up to everyone's high reviews! Loved the ambience and baseball theme. There was more seating than I'd thought, both indoor and outdoor! The beer was amazing, I loved the hazy IPA. Soft pretzel and chicken cesar salad were amazing. Next time we'll definitely try the pizza flight, it looked so good! Will definitely be back for the good service, chill atmosphere and amazing food/drink.

A great brewery to get a refreshing beer and a phenomenal pizza! Friendly and casual atmosphere and all the staff are happy to help. All the pizzas taste great (including their vegan variations) and they have some unique and fun pizza combinations - give them a try next time you're in GR!

We had 2 pizza flights so we tried almost all of them! The special of the day was a strawberry fields pizza with fresh strawberries & balsamic! The goat cheese pizza was also a hit! The one with the pork and Cajun aioli was so surprising! If you eat pork don't avoid it. They get their pork from across the road at too short and the aioli is soooo good. The outside seating is a fun environment it's cute and shaded. They have a long list of what's on tap! The service was super quick everything came out expeditiously and was hot and fresh. The pickle bread as an appetizer was something new- didn't love the siracha but the ranch was amazing and made up for it

This was the worst pizza in 50 years!! I'm sorry but not sorry. You ruined my night in Grand Rapids. This was not good on any metrics. Tough, dry, cold, salty, expensive, small portioned, failed failed failed failed. If you are manager, look at your product. This is bad

Amazing beer and pizza selection. I was amazed by the deliciousness of both. They were very accommodating for my group of 50 and I'd recommend them over & over again. The assigned bartender was efficient and the space for our group fit like a glove or rather mitten.

Very cool brewery right off the highway in Grand Rapids. It has indoor and outdoor seating, when the weather is nice, the outdoor patio is ideal, really cool area. They allow you to do pizza flights, which is really cool, I've never heard of any other place doing that. It allows you to try so many different flavors. I forget all the ones we ordered, but they were all good, had a variety of different meats and toppings. In terms of beer, I got the fogout and the hop hustle, both really good. I ended up getting a 4pack of the fogout to go, and my friends enjoyed it as well. Inside there's a lot of cool sports memorabilia on the wall, including a 1907 World Series program, featuring the Cubs and Tigers. So cool to see! Highly recommend if you live in the area, or just are passing through and need a good place to stop at.

Had the Pizza Flight choosing the 6 different types of pizza was fun! The menu says it feed 4 & that is accurate . Was here with 2 of my big eaters and we took some home! Also tried the Sangria for the first time - delicious! Love The Mitten

Great as always! Took my mom here for an early Mother's Day dinner, because where else can you get a pizza flight? There were 3 of us eating and we took a lot home (we did also order their pickle breadsticks!) The Mac Daddy pizza was my favorite, but they were all great. There was no wait for a table, but the patio is opened up now, so there's lots more space! (I believe the patio is bar service only- or it was that day at least. I'd say just check first!)

4.5 Stopped by The Mitten Brewing on my way out of Grand Rapids, it's definitely a brewery I would recommend. I'd already been to another brewery before this one so I don't remember much of The Mitten's interior, though it seemed rustic. Staff there was super cool, took good care of me. I got a flight. THE FLIGHT BOARD WAS SHAPED LIKE A MITTEN! How adorable! I drank the flight. I paid and left. Would return.

The Mitten is one of my fav spots for pizza in GR and I always forget to take pics when I'm here because I am too hungry when I go to think about it! I don't think I've ever gotten food here that I don't like but recently, I have started ordering salads and I am honestly surprised at how simple but GOOD they are! Like, their ingredients are so good and fresh that I absolutely love it! Not overly dressed and overdone, but well presented! I know that sounds silly but I feel like that should be something that people should really appreciate about a salad. Also, for the cost, you would think that it would be small... no, it's huge and you can easily share! I really need to come back with more people so I can get the pizza flight and try more of their flavors as I usually only come with my boyfriend and we get one pizza to share as we are trying not to have a billion pieces of pizza for leftover as we're trying to be "healthier" or something (hence ordering salads more often), but I always love the vibes here and the people are wonderful! There's probably going to be a wait but if they actually turn on Yelp waitlist, it's clutch and you can join it from the comfort of your own home!

A pizza sampler - so good!

I had to try the elote deviled eggs, which was a combo I had never considered but I'm so glad someone did! I also got the truffle mac and cheese and a house salad. Both were excellent! The staff were friendly and we appreciated "The Library" filled with games and books. I was nostalgic and read Hunter's Guide to 1996 Michigan complete with a recommendation to stop at the now obsolete Pleasure Island Water Park. That used to be my absolute favorite getaway as a kid! We ordered arancini as a starter that came out tasting crisp like a tator tot, but the shape and taste actually reminded me more of a fried tteokbokki (Korean rice noodle) known for its deliciousness through its texture highlighting the spicy sauce. This would've been amazing had they had a nice gochujang mayo combo to dip this crispy treasure in, rather than ranch and pizza sauce. Next we tried the tikka masala pizza. Fun and inventive idea... much better than the naan pizza I had in Muskegon... however the sauce didn't taste as good as my homemade tikka masala base and though the pizza was tasty with varied texture, we found it somewhat lacked seasoning especially on the protein. If I were to construct it, instead of potato I would've had chicken, red pepper, cilantro, fresh avocado and pickled onion. Yum! To drink, I enjoyed a refreshing ginger Kombucha sourced from Walker Brothers in Nashville Tennessee. The kids loved their cheese pizza and cheese smash burger with fries and drinks. Overall, great first experience and would love to come back as it seems like they are constantly reinventing themselves with tasty morsels and brews. If you come, there is free parking in the back. If you love it here there is a $150 lifetime membership (not sure what that all entails but sounds special). Thanks 7 Monks, we will be back!

We chatted a bit while I ordered a flight. I love that the flight is not limited. You can have as many 2.5 ounce beers as you want! Each are priced separately. I perused the food menu and checked out the merch. Sadly they did not have the tshirt I liked in my size. They also sell beanies, glassware and hoodies. Oh, and beer to go! I enjoyed the two IPAs with Good Good being my fave, followed by IPA#1. The porter was good and so was the Kona brown. The fade was my least fave, and it pretty much tasted like Guinness, but I did drink it all. I have preferences but I also have values! Lol. The off duty employee and I chatted awhile, even looping in the bar tender and my other bar stool neighbor, especially when it came down to naming the artists on the decorative candles (see pic). We were having so much fun that we decided on her having another beer and me getting a couple more samples. The Mosacca IPA was really good. The Economy, gotta love the name, was also good and the most affordable beer! Look at them looking out for the people. Loved this place. The locals are friendly. Did not eat but all the food I saw looked good! Would return to enjoy more beer, fun convos and to buy a size small shirt!
