The food is perfect college comfort food right in the heart of Baylor university. We went in the summer so the ambiance is very calm and even slow for being at peak lunch time. We were served promptly, the food was very fresh! If I was a student here I would get myself in trouble coming everyday!

    A very sweet message

A hidden gem! I used to pass by this place while driving around campus or walking around. I didn't think too much of it cause it was kind of just on the side. The first time I came here, my friend and I had a one-on-one and recommended this cute cafe. I ordered the Hungry Bear Meal with the Atlantic Wild Salmon with the Tomato Basil Soup(found out today that if I didn't want a drink, it'd be cheaper to just get those separate, math haha...). I ordered the same thing today and I've thought about this pretty often because it was so delicious! They have breakfast all day, and a huge selection of sandwiches, soups, sides, and honestly, anything else you can think of! They have some delicious and healthy options, and I was left with a beautiful and sweet message on my to-to bag! My only complaint would be that I wish I had came here earlier! Inside is super cute and seems very homey. The service here is incredible, you've got people here who have the best attitude and who are happy to serve you. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

This place was recommended by all my Baylor friends, and I have to say, this place does not disappoint. The food is served hot off the griddle! You really can't go wrong with any of their menu options (I had the Texas Steak Please burrito). I recommend going right when they open because they do get busy during the day.

This is not your ordinary sandwich shop. This is a wonderful twist on what others put between 2 slices of bread! YUM!! It's difficult to choose only one so our Bear and her dad split theirs. Quesadilla are crazy good! I can't get enough of their Chicken Salad! The white bread (bun) is SO GOOD but our Bear said she likes the wheat even better!! Close to campus is an extra bonus. Can't beat The Mix Cafe!

The Mix Cafe Order at counter and they bring the food out to you. No frills, good price and good amount of food portions. Everything is served in paper trays and expenses are minimum to keep costs down. Ordered the complete Breakfast omelette with 4 items, sausage, ham, mushrooms and bacon along with hash browns. Was pretty good came out and was served with good service. Considering cost and quality of food very good win for the customer

I'm not completely sure why this Cafe has such high reviews, everything here was pretty average. Yes, the freshness of the food was great.. But everything else was pretty meh. The sweet potato fries were really the only thing I liked from here!

Brussel Sprouts and Kale Salad (With Chicken which is Extra)

this was my first time coming here and it was absolutely delicious!! I had the Brussel Sprout Kale Salad with Chicken, which was extra. I'm a huge fan of brussel sprouts so this was the best salad i've ever had. the proportion was great! there was enough food to keep me content, but not enough to where i feel super bloated. the salad didn't even need the dressing, the salad flavor was perfect by itself. i'm so glad i came here! i go to baylor so i'll definitely be coming here every chance i get. their menu is very diverse with a wide selection, so i cant wait to try everything else they serve. i definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for good food.

Great local spot just steps away from Baylor Campus. We had breakfast burritos and they were delicious. Place has a nice hip feel to it, with professors, students and their family sitting all in one room. I will certainly return.

Magnolia Press is their house coffee shop serving up all the coffee house classic beverages and snacks. Beverages were all the basics with a few specialty drinks, both hot and cold. The food was standard breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Prices for everything were moderate, but expected. I went with an iced mocha and chocolate croissant, while my partner went with a breakfast croissant. The food came out a few minutes before the drink, so we munched on the goods while we waited for the coffee. The food was good and the drink was tasty. It hit the spot for sure! The flow can get a bit backed up depending on how busy the baristas are...and they were busy! We waited a longer time after ordering than we did in line to order, but neither wait was egregiously long. Once we got the coffee, we made our way outside to the courtyard. We passed the small, but cute dining room. The space is gorgeous, perfect coffee house and Magnolia vibes. Overall, great entry point to the market. Lovely vibes and decent coffee!

We got seated right away around 1:30 pm on a Friday. There appeared to be only two servers covering the entire room but they did a pretty good job of it. Our waiter, a young man was quite pleasant and knowledgeable. He used an electronic order taking device and was able to customize anything we asked for, right in the device. Three of us ordered shakes. My friend loves Coconut Cream Pie, which they have and she was considering a shake. I suggested she ask our server if he could make her a Coconut Cream Pie shake with vanilla ice cream. Sure enough, he did it and it was quite tasty. For lunch, we ordered as follows: - Patty Melt with Tots (shared by my wife and I) - Kids Finger Basket with 1 Chicken and 1 Steak finger and tots - Steak Finger Basket with Tots The food was very diner diner-like (fried or flat top grilled) and it was tasty. We started with the "Burning Bush" appetizer (crispy Brussel sprouts w/ lemon garlic aioli). YUM! They had just the right bite to them, and the glaze on them paired with the aioli was delicious! For our entrees we had the Golden Calf Burger w/ sweet potato fries and sriracha aioli and The Weight of Glory Sandwich w/ broccoli slaw. They were both incredibly flavorful and fresh! You can tell they locally source their ingredients and prepare them onsite. The portions are also plentiful, and we left with a takeout box. To round off lunch we tried the special mousse on the specials board (coffee flavored cheesecake mousse). It was so delightful we dug in before I could snap a pic. Just enough coffee flavor paired with chocolate sauce (not hersheys ). The big windows allow for a lot of natural light and lends to a welcoming and warm environment.
