I stayed in town with a few friends after a comedy show at the Packard Music Hall and we decided to hit up the Mocha House for breakfast. Upon our arrival we were instantly greeted and the girl behind the register explained how to order at their establishment. We found a seat in the back corner then reviewed the menu and found it was difficult to choose between all the awesome breakfaat choices! I settled on the breakfast sampler with over easy eggs, sausage links, toast and home fries. My hubby ordered an omelet with toast and my friends chose the waffles. The food was quickly served after we ordered and the girl delivering the food was efficient in our requests for a few extras (hot sauce and strawberry jelly). Another girl checked on us a few minutes later and refilled our drinks. The plate of the breakfast sampler was huge and it was full of food, everything was SO good. On our way out the door, we stopped at the dessert display and were amazed over all the delicious cookies, cakes and pastry selections. Such a little gem in Warren! read more

lets start with the food: 2 orders ham cheesy potatoes and a chicken Florentine with mashed potatoes. Cold tiny portion. Like one full portion made into two orders. The milk/cream was curdled. my dog who literally eats his own feces, wouldn't eat the potatoe my kid spit on the floor. the chicken was actual rubber that had to be sawed like wood to cut with a serrated steak knife. I call and explain I'm returning it . drive all the way back 90 mph because they're closing, knock on door, eventually woman comes out takes the food says she'll refund it. leaves me standing in parking lot for 20 minutes and tried to give me less staying I only returned 2 of three meals. I said I'll be back in 5 min. Ran home again & back surprised I didn't get a ticket. I knocked for twenty minutes. A waitress leaving the parking lot was nice enough to call the owner as I waited and watched 4 more employees leave. The owner gets on the phone says he's closed I have to return tomorrow. so who's going to feed me ans my family tonight? He said it's not his problem. You took my money and the food, but I can't get the cash I paid you until tomorrow? Wtf?!? How about you served up the end of the day's slop, ripped me off, had me make 4 I extra trips, my kids ate peanut butter and jelly for dinner at 8:30pm, because you wasted more than an hour of my time! ya know...some stereotypes are true. this Greek definitely stuck in in deep and told me to go f myself on the reach a around. (FYI I'm also Greek) but I don't f people over steal-their money, serve them shit in a to go container and, take the food back ans hold their money for ransom, and then act like I'm doing them a favor! I went on a Sunday. It was pretty busy, wouldn't recommend. But my food was just okay.. I got a wrap. I ordered an iced coffee with hazelnut and cream and I got a black iced coffee. I did really like the potato salad. read more

Everything at the Mocha House is "good enough," but they never really blow your mind. Coffee and food are both ok, desert is probably above average, and service is usually pretty decent. The draw for the Mocha House has always been the environment though. Large, comfortable space that is always welcoming and pleasant. Great place to catch up with old friends or hang out with a book on a day off. read more

Sunday at Mocha house for some Breakfast before a day of grading papers and soccer. We were in search of a quiet tranquil experience that involved coffee and food, we were able to accomplish our mission only with a few small hiccups. We both got omelets both with ham and the only variation was she got cheddar instead of swiss cheese like myself. We also got raisin toast and a potato like dish. our food arrived with our flavored coffee, mine was mint, Jennifer got a nutella experience. The coffee was 5/5, upon biting into her food she discovered the wrong kind of cheese. So we asked to have this corrected and was greeted by the lady who took our order aggressively approaching us waving a receipt at us showing the order, which was typed in wrong. (why approach us just fix the order) We now understood why she asked the order multiple times. Either way its wrong and we needed it fixed as Jennifer doesn't like swiss cheese. The order finally came out and it was taken care of. Then Jennifer ate her Blueberry muffin which was also delicious. I have mixed feelings walking in and out of the mocha house and the food is usually consistent and fair. Nothing spectacular=nothing to poor. What did bother me was the attitude of our person taking our order, then her response and waving the receipt in our face. Having worked retail many years, just shake your head and solve the problem. It doesn't matter who made the mistake you get paid to fix it. A new coffee shop is soon opening up in downtown Warren and I pray and hope it is trendy and hipster where we can sit on our laptops, drink coffee, play chess and relax. Mocha house would also benefit from having update interior and drinks. read more

HAd a great meal here a few weeks ago.. I had the reuben server on delicious grilles crispy rye bread w some goos slaw. Wife had the veggie wrap that passed with flying colors.. What pused this to a 5 star review was the peanut butter choc cheesecake that was awesome!!! If your ever in warren give it a try! read more

OMG! Blueberry pancakes were yummy, latte delicious, desserts incredible. This place is now one of my hidden little gems I love to visit!

What can I say, I was blown away by what lies within these walls and even more-so by what was within the glass bakery display. I came in autumn for breakfast and enjoyed a extra large pumpkin spice latte with whipped cream and caramel drizzled on top. It was beyond satisfying and worth it to sit down and savor with their generous in house cup size. The classic eggs Benedict was as to be expected. Classic. Same for the French toast and eggs. Where it was truly exceptional is within the baked goods section. Pumpkin cookies, elephant ears, and just about every type of cake you can imagine. By evenings, they have open mic nights with musicians and poets. The space for local artists also makes for a cool cafe-gallery vibe. read more

Ahhhh the shining beacon of hope in the desolate land of minimal eateries for the high maintenance foodie. (I already bashed the infamous Hot Dog Shoppe. Whoops. Sorry.) I love checking out local coffee shops and the Mocha House is no exception. I had the privilege of dropping in with friends and family on a couple of occassions while I was in the area. Once to study for finals somewhere other than the on campus library (eep!) and once to catch up with future in-laws (also eep? ;)) The warm and charming ambience provided the perfect backdrop for both. The last time I was here, I ordered a vegetarian dish and a latte. My veggie omelette was delightful. The one (barely) vice was my drink. I ordered a 12 ounce latte with an extra shot (theirs only comes with one, but I'm a strong believer of a small needing two. More caffeine, less milk, please!) Maybe I didn't phrase it correctly but the barista seemed to struggle to understand- the sixteen ounce came with two, not the twelve. The manager came over to help her figure out how to make my coffee. But the completed sucker was GIGANTIC. Oh well. In the end, I got a drink and it was delicious. Just- quite literally- a little more than I had bargained for. No harm, no foul. :) Extra bonus: They add a bit of cinnamon to their lattes, which is a unique, but appreciated treat. My friend and I tried this place because YELP gave it great reviews and it was inexpensive. Wonderful soup salmon sandwiches pastry AND real rye bread like NYC. You go to the counter and order then a friendly clerk brings out your meal to the table. Very friendly AND knowlegable clerks assist you. 2 of us ate for about $20.
