They catered our son's wedding 5/16/26 and did a fantastic job! We got so many compliments on how delicious the food was. The cookie table they put together was beautiful. The bartenders were really fun and very conscious of making sure no one drank too much, they were very tactful. The hall was beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous; it rained but the bride insisted she was getting married outside so they provided clear umbrellas. Otherwise, they were prepared to hold the wedding inside. The staff, servers, & chef did an amazing job. They even boxed up the food that was leftover to send home with us. I would definitely choose them again for a catering event. We had the Pomegranate Fatous salad, Chicken Franciase, Roast Sirloin in a gravy, Mac & Cheese, Roasted Red Skin Potatoes and rolls. The Chicken & Mac & Cheese were the top runners in food guests loved the most. The salad though is one of my top faves. Everyone was super nice and professional, highly recommend them!!! read more

If I could give less stars I would. My family and I made the mistake of having our Mother's Day brunch here. The buffet was a joke. Overpriced and super stingy with the portions. My plate only had three of the five offerings. And what I had was barely enough for a pre-teen, little alone a grown adult male. Forget about going back for seconds. They had one person manning the doling of the food. Short line took super long to get through. I made the mistake of getting back in line and waiting only to be told no seconds. They couldn't even bother to season the freaking scrambled eggs. Bland and dull. Waste of time and money. Never again. read more

We were faithful attenders of the Sunday breakfast at the Garden Cafe. With the new ownership at Kravitz, though, we had our first bad experience. Prices went up on the menu. I understand prices are going up everywhere, though, so I can give some grace here. However, they're no longer waiting on the tables - the restaurant is designed so that you are given a menu, and have to go up to a kiosk to order everything at once. You even have to order coffee with your meal, meaning that you can't sip on coffee or water while you browse the menu. You think prices would go down if they're not paying waiters - but they went up. We went up to the kiosk and ordered the coffee separately, and the waiter literally dropped the coffee onto our table without warmth or hospitality. By the time we were ready to order, they were out of onions. On Sunday morning brunch, out of onions. Hard to believe! We decided to cut our losses and go somewhere else for breakfast. We informed the cashier that we were leaving, and instead of questioning or care, we felt she was upset and mad at us. I hope things turn around at the Garden Cafe - we loved coming here and hope we can come again one day. But we won't be coming back if the service / ordering system stays as it is now. read more

MOTHERS DAY BRUNCH so Kravitz's is under new ownership since opening almost 70 years ago. They have an amazing cafe inside MillCreek Metropark's but you have to check out the holiday buffets. We have gone many years In the past for Mother's Day, but this was the first time with the new ownership. IT WAS OUTSTANDING! I highly recommend. They do two seatings, 11am and 2pm. I'm always a fan of the earlier one. The food was wonderful. If I could have somehow put extra homemade chicken cordon bleu in my purse I would have! The prime rib carving station and omelette station were fire!! You might worry that a roomful of people all vying for the buffet would result in long waits but they were beyond ready! Anytime anything ran out on the buffet it was immediately replenished and all was super fresh. The omelette station had two chefs who could have easily made 10 omelettes at a time! The also had chicken fingers and smiley face fries for the kids. So let's talk dessert! A wide array of cheesecakes but the show stopper was the lemon blueberry marscipone cake! So light and delicious- which by the way the sell in the cafe! So hats off to the new ownership and all of the staff - the entire event could not have gone better! The quiche was average but, they walked by with a tray that had the waffle panini, I think it was, and that looked real good! In spite of average food the view at the restaurant is spectacular! Mill Creek Park is one of the nicest parks in the nation! Go knowing the food is not spectacular but, still good and enjoy the amazing and unique views! You should plan a half day at least and check out the other park attractions and trails! read more

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch-my first time dining out since before the pandemic! Jack Kravitz does everything possible to make sure his employees and customers continue to stay safe! This establishment offers contactless ordering and also uses disposable plates/cups/utensils. There are a few options available for ordering your food-place your order on their kiosk, scan the QR code on your table, or place your order with a server. We ordered from the kiosk and it was very easy to use. We chose a table located on the terrace so we could enjoy the breathtaking view of Fellows Riverside Garden. A waitress delivered our salads and iced tea within a few minutes! We ordered a few kipfels (cheese and cherry) to bring home. Of course everything was as delicious as we expected since we've dined at this location and the Kravitz on Belmont Avenue many times! Jack has several other offerings on the menu including their well-known corned beef sandwiches! Be sure to dine here for a relaxing, tasty meal! read more

We stopped here for lunch and I was very surprised they had not come out of the Covid era yet. We placed our order at the counter and I was surprised they asked for a tip. Yes, I did tip but I am not a fan of those little square pads they turn around with tips glaring in your face for a restaurant that you place your order at the desk and bus your own plates. The spinning bowl salad was excellent and my daughter had the corned beef and it looked amazing. I was not a fan of the mushroom burger. Not sure I would come back here. I usually stop every time I'm in Youngstown. read more

I've been there 3 times in the last few months. Consistently mediocre and overpriced. The service is not great and the menu is vague. And god forbid you ask about toast with the omelette The girl who seems to be in charge each time I'm there relishes in listing all the things that the customer CANT HAVE that day and has zero communication skills. It's a shame too because the cafe itself is just beautiful. Get some fresh management in there and start making fresh simple food at a reasonable price and I may try again. Until then I'll skip it and just enjoy the gardens. read more

The clam chowder here was fantastic. We were i. Town visiting my grandparents and the decor was all done up for a winter wonderland and the food was excellent. It's more than just a deli - they even have a kids menu. I had a yummy blackberry glazed pork loon with soup fresh broccoli and smashed potatoes all for ten dollars - that's a great value. The setting is truly beautiful with a huge wall of Windows overlooking the lake: the whole place is perfect for breakfast or lunch. read more

Every time we come back to Youngstown we stop at Kravitzs at the Garden cafe. One is the scenery - overlooking Lake Glacier is simply majestic every season. Second the food. Finally a restaurant in the tri state area with upscale food that I can afford. Under 10 dollar lunch and the vegetables were grown locally. I had the turkey (not lunchmeat) panini. It had turkey, roasted red pepper and jarlesburg cheese between two grilled fresh baked slices of local bread. Kudos to this restaurant for using so many local producers. I am anticipating the terrace to be open for dining. With that view I am just going to eat here on my lunch break. Service was fast enough that I was able to go there for my lunch break. I was here for the first time and was very impressed by the quality of the food. Had the Spinning Bowl Salad and 1/2 Rueben combo. The view is beautiful with floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking the park. I was extremely happy that our server asked if we wanted straws, a gentle reminder that they are awful for the environment. The only change I would have made would be to slice the rye bread a little bit thicker so it can hold up to the meat a bit better. We didn't have dessert but they looked delicious. read more

I don't recommend coming here unless you want to spend $30 on a small, average quality lunch on a family of three and want to wait half an hour for the server to bring you the wrong check not once but twice and then forget about you. Our server Pat didn't write down our order which was fine at first when everyone received their correct dishes, however when it was time to get our party's 2 checks, he brought out 2 copies of the same bill. It took him another 10 minutes to bring out 2 separate bills but he put everyone's drinks on our one bill including our food when all we had was just water and two turkey paninis. He never came back to our table for us to inform him of the mistake or pay and after we watched him walk around tending to other customers a few times for 20 minutes, we just gave up and went inside to find the cash register to just pay the incorrect checks. Honestly, he was not attentive after he delivered the food and it seemed he just forgot about us. We could've just walked out of the restaurant without paying and he wouldn't have even noticed! read more
