Ok my first question is literally why the hell is this restaurant in the mall next to Panda Express slop? Momo king is sit down quality Nepalese food, I would say it for the sauce alone. Everything tastes delicious, and my only food complaint is that the rice is a bit on the stale side. Service was extremely fast, and very nice. However the thing that earned only a four star instead of five is that if you're going to run a restaurant your front end must ALWAYS be staffed. I have seen person after person just walk by your restaurant because no one was there to run it. Lastly the mall ambience is always great if you enjoy the mall.

My husband was so excited to know that a Nepalese restaurant opened in Capital Mall because he loves momos so I was happy to try them for the first time with him. We both loved the momos he ordered (steamed pork momos and fried chicken momos). Both were so flavorful and had a good filling to wrapper ratio. The yellow sauce that came with it (I believe it was some sort of curry based sauce) was so good and went perfectly with the momos. Definitely will be returning here in the future to try more!

    Pork dumpling with butter sauce

First time trying Nepalese food. Since the food court is limited in options we decided to give Momo King a try (my daughter was quite hesitant since she had never tasted Nepalese food). We were pleasantly surprised by the pork dumplings with butter sauce (it tasted almost like a mild tikka masala sauce with dumplings). We also enjoyed the sweet lassie which tasted like a sweetened yogurt drink with yogurt flakes & cardamom. My daughter asked why Nepalese food wasn't more promoted so here I am writing this review to spread awareness to the cuisine.

    Butter Chicken Momo.

Every culture has dumplings but this is the first time I have enjoyed Persian Dumplings. Amazing. I ordered the Butter Chicken Dumplings and ate every bite. Will be back again. Quick and polite service. Eating in the mall adds people watching to the meal. Such fun!

Very nice workers, hot food, and unique flavors. The dipping sauce is delicious! These are like what I had in Kathmandu.

I had the chili momo, and damn. Properly spicy, delicious, healthy portions. Worth it, even if you aren't already at the mall.

We went around 6pm and were able to find parking and no line for ordering. We ordered fried momo, steamed momo, chili momo, and butter momo. Took about 15 minutes. Young man at the counter was incredibly friendly and helpful with our questions. The chef is from Nepal I believe and he's kind and a wonderful cook! Chill momo was the of the show. Bursting with the flavors and spices. Each momo is coated. You'll get onions and bell peppers as well. This was my favorite of all the momo. It is spicy-ish, but everyone's spice level is different. I love spice so this I'd recommend to anyone who also enjoys spicy foods. Butter momo would be the closest to first place for me. I'd suggest this one for someone who doesn't want spicy. Similar sauce to the curry that comes with butter chicken. Sweet and creamy. They give you plenty of sauce and it's delicious. Fried & steamed chicken momo were wonderful and classic. Our friend who dined with us is from Nepal and said she believes this might be the most authentic place for momo. our/her other momo spot is Indian-Nepali kitchen. This place also had fried rice and chow mein and a couple of other options that we will certainly be back for to try. You won't regret coming here, there's no bad option on their menu and you'll leave feeling happy and full.

Vindaloo came with rice and I would try 4 star next time. Zesty as listed in the menu is spot on. Love it! The dish would be an excellent appetizer to share for 3-5 easy. I would have ordered a smaller portion but maybe I missed it. Take home it is! Big enough place for several groups and the tables are spaced so it doesn't feel crowded. I arrived towards the end of the night so not busy, but still several parties. We tried their chicken momocha, steamed dumplings, 6 pieces for $13. Unfortunately, they were only lukewarm. They had a long line; I suspect the dumplings are not getting reheated for long enough. I know they are all fully-cooked/steamed and brought here to be warmed and served, so I wasn't concerned about food poisoning. Each momo is well stuffed, densely packed and meaty (much better than the momo food truck in Tulalip) with a pleasantly thin skin. Overall quality of the momo is in fact very good. We are only disappointed that they are lukewarm. The medium sauce is excellent. The pop-up menu has less options compared to the physical restaurant and cost more. The same chicken momocha, steamed dumplings cost $14.95 for 10 pieces if the online menu is accurate. That is a much better price. I still want to try their pan-fried version. Those look good.

But Indian-Nepali Kitchen is one of Seattle's most sought-after spots for affordable eats. But don't sleep on the rest of INK's broad menu of South Asian fare -- The Infatuation magazine even considers it to be one of the best restaurants in the city, full stop. INK shares a strip mall with a bodega and nail salon. Black cushioned chairs are pressed up to lacquered wood tables, and the tan walls are decorated with an assortment of cultural tchotchkes. Bollywood music videos play on the main dining room's single flatscreen, while images of Nepali mountain ranges flash on the screen in the accessory dining room. My partner and I dined at INK for weekday dinner on our drive up to the North Cascades, and we had the dining room to ourselves. Only a handful of takeout patrons rolled through during our visit. We kicked off our meal with the Mixed Appetizer. The Vegetable Pakora component was a consensus hit. The rich, crispy bites functioned well on their own and were fun conduits for the fragrant mint sauce and the tart tamarind sauce. In comparison, the samosas were forgettable, sporting overwhelmingly thick shells and hit-or-miss fillings. Of the three varieties, only the earthy ground lamb was worth finishing. Next, we tried the Combo Momo platter. Admittedly, the signature momos were surprisingly mediocre. Across the varieties, the wonton-like Fried Momo was the clear winner with its exciting texture without overpowering the delicate filling flavor. Meanwhile, the standard steamed momos tasted like something out of the frozen section, the Chili Momos were dominated by fast-food-quality sweet-and-sour sauce, and the Sandheko Momos had an unassuming, generally savory curry flavor (which was far outdone by the tangy side of house chutney). For our entree, we were very impressed by the Butter Curry Lamb. The thick curry broth was vibrant and dynamic; we sipped it by the spoonful. The tough lamb felt like an afterthought. The Garlic Basil Bread wasn't particularly basil-y, but the naan slices were pillowy, flaky, and addictively buttery. To drink, we shared an Iced Chai. The tea was more spiced than sweet; the average Starbucks patron might turn their nose up to it, but the light drink was a welcome contrast to the dense entrees. For dessert, we opted for the Gulab Jamun: the ping pong-sized cheese balls were deceptively dense, each packing a rich, syrupy punch. The service was quick and efficient, and our bill worked out to about $75 (after tax and tip). The flavors topped out at very good, but never quite achieved greatness. The portions were generous -- we probably could have done without the momos and still had a satisfyingly hearty meal. For a no-frills meal that will, at a minimum, be tasty, INK is a safe bet.

Prince was working front of house by himself literally running to get to everyone and making naan as well. Anyway our worries were for naught because we were thoroughly impressed by the food. The chili garlic naan was crisp and great for dipping into all the different dishes we got as well. Bhindi masala was bursting with flavor and we chose tofu as our protein which soaked up all that savoriness. Saag paneer was creamy and generous with the amount of paneer.
