If you're not into Tiki, this is a fun place to get a drink. If you are, I will say it needs work on its authenticity. Classic drinks are not traditional (and not in a good way. Their painkiller was a major disappointment, and it's an easy drink to get right). They've got potential, and I would say absolutely go with no high level tiki expectations and you will have a decent time. But for real, if this place needs any tiki pointers, I built my own tiki bar at home and was a bartender for years and would be more than happy to give them a few tiki pointers, drink and decor. MID... no you know what below mid, allowing minors to order food and yet they are not allowed on the premises. The customer service was minimal, and the ambiance was creepy. That said the worker at Hoshi sushi was fantastic and the food to match. But Do NOT GO INTO THE BAR TRASH ON ALL LEVELS if I could give 0 stars I would. When I say this is a must when visiting Oregon, ITS A MUST! The ambiance of the bar is absolutely out of this world. The tiki theme and decoration was spot - on. We had so much fun, and ordered at least three different cocktails each. The cocktails were very well handcrafted and reasonably priced. Everyone also was so friendly and nice. Great Tiki bar. All the drinks I tried were outstanding, and tasted just as great exotic cocktails should. Bartender and other staff were very courteous and welcoming. Decor is very fun and makes the visit even more memorable. Menu drink selection is excellent, with tiki classics (made correctly) along with other more contemporary options/house recipes which are also wonderful. Also, I never get beer at a tiki bar, but they have Hamm's on tap here!!! In love. Wow, Downtown Springfield is so lucky to have The Monkey's Paw join their community. This place has become one of my favorite places to visit, so much that I went twice in one night! Upon entering this "hidden" gem, you will almost instantly feel the vibe, mainly because it's so dark that it almost transports you to a whole new place. I would describe it as moody, colorful, relaxing, tropical, and retro. You will most likely be greeted by Teren, Jameson, or Scott. All three of these guys are awesome and are doing a great job with this place! They've been friendly, welcoming, professional, and approachable each time. I've had the pleasure of trying out 5 of their cocktails, and have enjoyed each one of them! My favorite, as of now, is The Creature From The Black Lagoon! Not only are their drinks made well, they're also fairly priced and worth it! I love that they also have "virgin" cocktails along with beer and ciders. As for food, you have options. They have a few items on their menu, and they also have direct access to a few food trucks that are located just outside the building (there's a door that leads directly to the food carts). Last time I went, I ordered THEIR chicken tenders with pineapple coleslaw, which was pretty damn good! Aside from food and drinks, they have a pool table and a pinball machine! If you rather relax outside (when the weather is nice), they offer outdoor seating as well. I'm very happy with this place, and I wish them all the best as they get settled in! Make sure you pay them a visit and if you enjoy it, let your friends and family know about them. With COVID causing a big hit on our local businesses, we should spread the word of all the places we enjoy visiting! read more

The shittiest service I have ever gotten. Was told to wait for 10 minutes outside and ended up waiting for an hour and when we asked about the time they'd simply ignore us. Once inside they were unable to even provide food because the oven was "broken", the staff was so rude as well.
