What a delightful gem in downtown Stevensville. We had the best service from Heather who suggested drinks to me because the cocktail menu was wonderfully inspired but long. I put myself in her hands after she asked me a few questions about my tastes. She started me with "The Bitterroot" which was definitely excellent using their Fallen Dove Gin. Then she offered to make me what she called "the best drink in the house," and, my oh my, was it ever spectacular. The "Greek Martini" from their pepper vodka was over the top wonderful. Spicy and refreshing. Do yourself a little favor and stop in the next time you want a cocktail to wow you. You owe it to yourself. read more

We spent an afternoon visiting breweries and distilleries. This was by far the friendliest, best selection, favorite drink/cocktail offerings and most enjoyable staff and space. Love the black lab that greeted us at the door, too I would definitely go here again. We are bringing back some Montana made hooch from these guys. This is an awesome little joint with incredibly smooth vodkas and some great cocktail inventions. The decor of the place is very modern, yet rustic. Lofty and airy in what was obviously a former industrial space, but decked out with nice table and chairs, with plenty of metal and wood finishes. Pretty damn cool, in other words. I had a "build your own mule", where you select an infused vodka along with some other optional garnishes and flourishes to construct a Moscow Mule. I chose vanilla for my mule, and the result is one of the best-tasting Moscow Mules I have ever had. I'm a big fan of Montana Distillery. I will definitely be back! read more

The cocktails in this place are phenomenal! I had the Railroad Thai martini and 1000s Buddha. If you like light, fresh, and fruity drinks, these will not disappoint! My husband, after reading another review, had the Moscow mule with vanilla vodka and was not disappointed! He also had he huckleberry martini, which tasted like drinking huckleberry jam out of the glass, it was so authentic and sweet! It is clean and modern inside, and we went early on a Monday, so there were never more than 2 other people there. At first I was disappointed because the server, although nice, did not explain the special way their vodkas are distilled or offer us a tasting (as I had read was customary in other reviews). But owner Mark was there to save the day! He explained that Montana Distillery vodkas, unlike other vodkas, are infused with real, actual ingredients, not artificial or natural "flavors" made in a lab: the cucumber vodka is made with actual cucumbers, and the bacon vodka (which tastes so much like real bacon, you will want to chew it) is made with actual bacon, etc.! He of course walked us through a tasting, so we could adequately compare the quality and taste, which is unbeatable! I will add, though, that there is apparently a weird law in Montana that only allows distilleries to serve 2 Oz. Per customer per day of any alcohol distilled on site. In order to allow you to order 4 drinks, they are only made with 1/2 Oz of "double strength" vodka. Don't miss this place! read more

I'm a huge Moscow mule fan and their cucumber vodka pairs perfectly. They also have an amazing Build your own Bloody Mary bar on Sunday's with all the right fixings. The other day I was in with my boyfriend. Mark the owner gave us a personal tour of the distillery. It was a pleasure to see the behind the scenes work that goes into distilling all of their vodkas and gin. I never knew how much art and science goes into making their award winning liquors! Wife and I stopped in here on a Monday afternoon because we couldn't find an open wine tasting room (get on that Missoula!). The interior is very inviting and has a modern feel to it. The vodkas/cocktails were delicious! The owner, Mark, came in while we were here and sat and chatted with us for a while, providing the history on the distillery. He then promptly set us up with tastings of a half dozen of their 10-12 flavors. My personal favorites were the huckleberry vodka and the bacon vodka. Yum! It differentiates itself from Montgomery Distillery in that it's more urban modern than Montana-modern.
