The Service: One man shop. When she is giving you the service, she will lock the spa door so you get complete privacy. She has medical background. She will ask you to fill up a form questions about your skin type. However, her product doesn't fit my skin type. First time here for a massage and I'm so happy I came. Telanto was welcoming and explained himself and what he was going to do throughout the session. He focused on my problem areas and was able to relieve tension on my shoulders and back and left me feeling so relaxed at the end. His technique was also a little different from the many massages I've had before so I appreciated that. Hi all, I am writing this review because of the incredible service from Mouna De laine at the Moroccan Spa. I was referred to her by one of her clients she treated for acne. Wow that client skin looks amazing now and she is still treating with her. After a month of Covid-19 I noticed that my skin was becomingdry and lackluster. Safe to say i found my new facial go to!! Mouna is amazing, she's very skilled and allowed me to watch my whole entire facial educating me the whole time. She was able to get to the roots of my stubborn cystic acne i've had bumps on my face for a while and she got it off! Not gonna lie the extraction was painful for me but your skin will thank you at the end. It's been 4 hrs since my facial and my skin feels so clean and tight! I am not a "facials" type person. I have friends who swear by them and get them every month. But I am not one of those people. However, I purchased the Formosi Voucher because it had microdermabrasion and although I have pretty good skin, I wanted to try it out. When I called to schedule an appointment, I learned that the spa in which the voucher was good for had changed ownership. I was worried that they weren't going to take my Formosi Voucher, but I was wrong and they happily honored it. After some back and forth on appointment times, I learned that there was another location closer to my work. I scheduled the appointment for after work, and couldn't wait to go. In between the time of my scheduling and appointment, I received a confirmation text and reminder. The Moroccan Spa is located in a little center, and doesn't exactly look like a "spa" from the outside; I was a little hesitant and wasn't sure if I was in the right place. But as soon as I walked in, Mouna, the owner, greeted me and put all my anxieties at ease. I told her I don't get facials, that I've had maybe 5 throughout my lifetime. In exchange, she explained the process, and showed me the products she was going to use as well as the equipment. First she steamed my face and then cleansed it. After, I finally got to experience a microdermabrasion facial. It's a very weird feeling of being scraped and suctioned at the same time. But when she was finished, I opened my eyes and saw how shiny my nose was! My nose had never been that shiny! By this time, I was becoming a believer in facials, and hadn't even had the mask or extractions. As you can tell by this review, I was more than pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Mouna not only knows what she's doing, but she LOVES doing it to help people put their best face forward. I will definitely be going back. I suffered from chronic acne and am now dealing with minimal acne dark spots so she heightened the exfoliating part of the facial and used masks that were beneficial for my particular skin type. After the facial she gave me great advice on how to maintain a good complexion and I appreciate her so much for that! It was my first facial and I'm so excited to keep getting them again. If you're looking for a relaxing experience, this is not it. She did an extraction and cleaned out my large pores. Extraction was pretty painful, but completely worth it. My skin looked amazing the second I was done. Now, my makeup goes on very smoothly. I ended up buying a package and will be getting microdermabrasion regularly. Do not go for the experience. Go for the results. Update: I went in for my first microdermabrasion yesterday. It was actually really relaxing. Not painful at all. Then, she did some more extractions and that was very painful. I needed it so bad. My face was gross. It was literally a bunch of potholes full of crap. It made my makeup look horrible. Today, my skin looks a million times better. It's glowing and even. My friend complimented my skin the second she saw me and I hadn't even told her about the facial. This woman is absolutely incredible at her profession. This place is the hidden gem that I have been searching for! I haven't had a facial in a year and instead have been plastering Biore strips all over my face. I needed one badly. I found a Groupon for the Moroccan Spa and am so happy that I did! The place itself is very relaxing and the second that I got there my stress melted away. A far cry from facials I have had in the past - Including the one on a Carnival cruise ship when I was 20 years old and the woman screamed that I had the worst skin that she had ever seen and sold me $500 worth of products as I left crying. I am always weary of spas but this place was different. The facial itself was heaven. I got the deluxe facial and was treated to something way beyond.
