She had me fill out a form when I came in about my skin type etc. On a heating pad with a blanket it was very comfortable! I found Khali on Yelp and messaged her for an appointment. She responded quickly and I got a same day appointment (super easy). There was plenty of parking right by the door of the salon suites (2nd floor of parking garage- follow signs for My Salon Suite). I dialed her suite number and she buzzed me in. She was very kind right off the bat and gave me time to change into a terry cloth robe and climb into a heated bed (it was a cold day!). There wasn't much talking, but she explained which step she was moving onto. She was very gentle (I even fell asleep). Extractions are always painful, but my face wasn't red all over like it usually is. She didn't try to sell me on any products and wasn't pushy to add on any additional services. It would be valuable to me if she provided some tips on how to care for my skin at home - esp regarding the issues I wrote on the registration form (what products or ingredients to use, techniques, etc). I just had my Second facial with Khali (Kali) today. It was an amazing experience as always! The location is easy to find and there is plenty of parking in the structure. All you have to do is punch in #307 on the door and she will let you right in to the amazing suites. Her salon is very clean and adorable with the decor. The bed is always nice and toasty and she will cover you with plush blankets as well. I went for a chemical peel and it was everything I had hoped for. This time she used a pumpkin infused peel which smelled great. She started off with a double cleansing, chemical peel, crystal exfoliation, extraction, mask, serum, eye cream, lip exfoliator, lip balm and moisturizer. I don't think my face has EVER been so hydrated! Haha She walks you through the process (at least the first time) and let's you know everything she is doing. I was pleased to not have any weird reaction to any of the products she used and my recovery was super easy. I had no dry skin or peeling afterwards which I was kind of afraid of as she is the first person I have let do a chemical peel on my sensitive skin. The day after my skin was glowing and all my blemishes were gone thanks to the extractions. I will be going back to her and her only from now on for facials. I just had my first facial with Khali (Kali) today. I had an amazing experience! The location is easy to find and there is ample parking off the second floor. Her salon suite is inside My Salon Suite which is the same concept as Phenix Salon Suites. Upon entering, you have to enter in her suite number 307 and she will buzz you inside. Her salon suite is cozy and clean. Her table is covered with warm fuzzy blankets and a heating pad. I'm sure that will feel extra nice in the winter months! She also adds a pillow as extra cushion under your knees to make sure you are comfortable. There's also nice soft music playing in the background. Kali is very detailed and gives you a play by play of the products she is about to apply and what the next steps are. She uses high quality products that are light weight and nicely fragranced (orange and eucalyptus). She started off with a double cleansing, chemical peel, crystal exfoliation, extraction, mask, serum, eye cream, lip exfoliator, lip balm and moisturizer. She asks about your skin so she can apply the appropriate skin care product for your skin type. I have eyelash extensions and she was extremely careful to not take off any during the process. Tips: Remove your jewelry beforehand. She will ask you if you want to change before starting and please do take her offer! I didn't think it was important so I didn't. She includes the neck as part of the service and had to pull my t-shirt down to my shoulders (wearing a wide neck shirt thank goodness) in order to include my neck. My shirt was wet by the end of the appointment due to the water she lightly sprays on your face and from the steamer. She was so nice to even offer me a towel to take with me to the car and home! The location is nice because it has its own parking garage (park on the 2nd floor). It was a little confusing because Khali's studio is in the larger space of the 2nd floor spa. Basically each business has their own room in this "My Studio" space. Very clean and surprisingly quiet considering how many other small businesses are being run out of this space. Khali is really nice, but not overly friendly. She pretty much gets right down to business, and I like that she's not pushy on selling products (she actually didn't try to sell my friend and I on anything). My friend and I had two consecutive appointments so one of us sat on an armchair in the room while the other got a facial. The bed is so warm and comfy, we both fell asleep during our facials. Not a lot of talking since Khali only talks when she tells you what step she's on (applying cleanser, exfoliating, etc.). The exfoliating was a little tougher than I expected since she uses an electric scrub (hard but didn't hurt, felt a slight burn but not bad). I liked that she actually put pressure during the extractions, because some places barely touch you. The best part was that after it all, my face wasn't red at all! I felt felt moisturized and refreshed! The only thing was that there were still gritty bits of the exfoliating scrub still left on my face, so it's best to take a shower later than to just wash your face (I washed my face twice and both times I put moisturizer on afterwards, my face still had some gritty stuff). Right away I felt comfortable, and I was taken in as soon as I arrived. The bed that I laid on was preheated and felt very nice. It was also really soft and she added extra pillows and blankets.
