Under Tony's expert care some of the most stubborn stains. The stair tread tape (may be not a great idea) sticky residue is still there after several applications of cleaner. It is less tacky to the touch and the dark dirt that built up has disappeared. Other 5-star rated cleaners on here said it wasn't possible to treat and to replace the carpet. Instead I'm putting down some clear plastic runners on the stairs to prevent the dirt build up. Any carpet that becomes loose from all the cleaning and suction can be re-stretched to look like new. We spoke with him and he gave us an ad that was reasonable in price and logical in need. When he came to our house, we showed him what was needed and he truly abided by it. He went upstairs to the carpet area of stains and dirt. Looking at them, he focused on cleaning and making our carpet look like it did five years ago. We were required to pay approximately half of the total cost of our home addition, along with an additional deposit, before work began. We were told excavation for the footers would begin the following week, but our project experienced significant delays. JDL Designs directed the subcontractor to remove approximately 20 feet of our front-room and kitchen interior wall to prepare for the installation of glass sliding doors. The work was abruptly halted after it was discovered that the project could result in the county issuing a red tag on our home due to permitting or code compliance concerns. As a result, the large opening in the wall was only temporarily covered with rough drywall and tape, leaving the area unfinished. In addition, the power to our electrical outlets was cut off along the entire length of the front-room and kitchen walls leaving us without usable electrical service on that side of our home. In our view, this work was not performed in good faith or with proper planning. Despite the significant disruption and damage caused to our home, JDL Design has still not accepted responsibility or restored the affected area. As of today, one year and four months later, the damage remains unresolved. From our perspective, the architectural portion of the project took nearly a year to complete. During that time, communication was extremely difficult. Our phone calls often went unanswered, and we struggled to get updates on the status of our plans. When the plans were finally submitted for approval, they were rejected because of numerous errors that had to be corrected. As a result, we hired a new architect and engineer to completely redraw the plans, resulting in additional expense and delays and empty promises. After requesting a refund for work we believed was not completed satisfactorily, the situation became contentious. During one interaction, a disagreement with Damon LaBlue escalated into a hostile situation. Rather than working collaboratively and professionally to resolve the conflict and bring the matter to a close, Damon LaBlue filed charges against me, which further complicated an already difficult situation. As a result, we were unable to recover the funds we had requested and estimate that we suffered a financial loss of approximately $6,000. Overall, we found the experience to be frustrating and disappointing. In our opinion, the communication, professionalism, and handling of our project did not meet our expectations. Based on our experience, we would not choose to work with these individuals again.
