Literally shitty place to hangout. I'm visiting this bar since bar since last two years and having very similar experiences. Bartenders have full authority from owners to ban anyone from the bar they don't like. Bartenders get drunk during their shift and mostly act weird. Don't get surprised if you get charged for bartender's fav customer's check.. Management need to take some steps to fix then place. read more

This place is a dive bar that allows smoking. Located in Addison circle, it is in a trendy fun area that attracts a similar crowd. We came here for Happy Hour and the specials were good. It was not too crowded on a weeknight, so our server had plenty of time to chat with us and provide excellent service. There were lots of people there by themselves at the bar, not too many groups. Parking is out front if you are lucky. I would love to return on a weekend to see what it is like. read more

I went to Mucky Ducks with some friends last weekend and they double charged my credit card.Once I noticed I called on Tuesday and was told the manager would call me Wednesday morning. No one ever called me so I called again Wednesday afternoon and talked to the manager who told me she would call me later that night. AGAIN no one called me so I called again this afternoon and was told I would be called back once the manager got in, yet AGAIN no one called me. Came here to watch game 4 of the NBA Finals and the DJ was playing so I couldn't hear the game. Found a table with my group of people and I had to find a waitress. She was not friendly but she was a young skinny long hair blonde girl. Either her or the cook got my burger wrong and the girl who brought my food out told the mgr Russ and he came over to my table. He apologized and told me he was going to fix my meal and it was FREE. I greatly appreciated that. He was very friendly and understanding. The atmosphere is cool. Pretty small but nice atmosphere. Bathroom was clean which is always a plus. I didn't order drinks since I was buzzing already but the water was good lol. I've been here a few times now and several times have had my order forgotten and/or ignored. The food itself is pretty mediocre and takes a long time. The location is good being in the heart of it all but I have a hard time recommending a place that's claim to fame is being beneath an expensive apartment complex. Weigh your options. read more

What a disgrace. They stopped serving food early, waitress barely visited table, beer served warm, and chips and salsa had been sitting out for 30 mins or more before it was delivered to us. We come up here almost every week to watch football as they are one of the only places to show our alma mater midwestern team play football! They have a corner with a big TV and a couple other tvs throughout the bar. The staff is friendly and they have drink specials during the week. The food is good-had the black bean nachos in the skillet, vegetarian salad turned into a wrap, wings and the pretzel. The pretzel is DELICIOUS. It comes with a spicy mustard and a tasty white cheddar cheese. The bread is warm and soft and doesn't harden as it cools. They have options for 10 wings in a basket and a variety of flavors which are good for sharing (or if you're hungry!). The have good draught options-personally enjoy the Dallas Blonde. I really, really, really liked this spot in Addison Circle. BFF and I just wandered in one weekend afternoon, and were very impressed. Now, note that we were here in mid-afternoon; no crowds, only 4-5 folks at the bar; no loud music, and no smokey atmosphere. It was quite lovely. TMDB is a very laid back, but rather upscale atmosphere for a pub. Lots of dark polished wood, separate small intimate areas with table and booth seating, and a small back patio. We grabbed two comfy seats @ the bar and were greeted by a friendly cheerful bartender, Shaun. As a bartender/server, Shaun was one of the best ever. Enthusiastic and seemed to love his job. The draft selection is quite small, maybe only 5 or 6 selections. However, it appears that their bottle selection is quite extensive. Shaun gracefully offered to let me try some sample drafts before making my selection. I opted for the Longhammer IPA, a light tasty pale ale, while BFF had his usual Miller Lite. On to the menu; we were starving for a late lunch. Shaun was very knowledgeable about the menu and assured us their burgers were excellent, around 1/2 lb of protein.. He was right on. I created my own Burger; grilled onions, extra tomato, lettuce and hickory sauce on the side. BFF ordered a Cheesburger, with Sweet Potato fries, while I saw Onion Rings on the menu and jumped on that bandwagon. The food was incredibly good; the burgers were moist and juicy and HUGE, and OMG, that Pretzel Bun was the cat's meow and placed this burger in another category of its own. Soft moist and oh so flavorful. As hard as I tried, I could only get through 1/4 of that massive serving of calories. (BFF left not one single crumb on his plate!) The onion rings were also pretty darn good; not too thick, but not strings either. The fries were seasoned well; I tasted a hint of nutmeg, maybe ?? We ended our visit with one of Shaun's spicy Bloody Mary's, & they were perfectly delicious :) An absolutely delightful experience overall; outstanding service by Shaun (a rousing 5 stars for Shaun!), great ambiance, and oh so scrumptious delicious food. Will we be back? You betcha we will! Specials galore during the week; $3 drafts on Monday, $5 burgers on Tuesday nights; complimentary taco bar on Thursday nights, HH prices Mon-Fri etc etc. Just LUV this newish spot just up the road from my abode. Showed up to the bar and my brother walked up to the bar after waiting 15 minutes for a server to come by. Eventually server comes to the table at 11:50, tried to order a club sandwich and apparently the kitchen can't be troubled to make it now. Bar staff is also stiff, gets mad when you order cocktails off their menu "that will take forever to make". Words of advice to the owner: Change the hours to when you'll actually serve what you're offering Stop putting things on the menu your staff doesn't want to make The bar is generously at 30% capacity; they're not too busy to help, just a joke of an operation. read more

It is something to do while you're cruising around Addison Circle as your options are extremely limited. Parking also can be kind of sparse during certain times of the year. Pretty much all the young folk in the area come out here to knock down a few cervezas. The food I will say surprised me and is pretty good. We had some kind of sliders that I enjoyed. And the music is decent as well. I would come if I was in the area going to a festival or something but I just would not go out go out of my way to come here. My crunchy granola friend and I had been enjoying delicious beer with our significant others at Flying Saucer when she suggested a change of venue. We came here and upon realizing that smoking is allowed inside, decided to sit on the patio. A fact that our waitress bitched about EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. she had to come outside to serve us. It was actually a temperate night, with some rain to cool everything down so it's not like I was forcing her to work in the Sahara. And fuck, if she hates it so hard, work somewhere without a patio?? Then I decided to order a side of their mac & cheese. I need to learn my lesson to ALWAYS ask if there is bacon, because lo and behold. There was bacon. So I asked if she wouldn't mind taking it back and bringing me a bacon free serving. She just gawked at me and said every vegetarian's favorite response "Just take it off." I had to beg her, with the assistance of my friend who was trying to persuade her that vegetarians really don't want to eat something that's got meat stirred up in it, and promise to tip her well just to get some mac & cheese I could eat. Service is friendly, and food is better than most bars Outside of happy hour, brew prices are a little high - $4 for a draft Miller Light, $5.50 for a Stella. Speaking of happy hour, burgers are $5 on Tuesday 8:00 PM to close, and on Thursdays select drafts are $3, and they put out a taco bar. Parking is a bit of a hassle. Went here on a Saturday afternoon and met up with a friend for a few beers. I think they used to have smoking inside but don't any more, but there's still a residual (a non smoker can tell, you know). Reasonable selection of beers on tap, in bottles, and in cans. Wanted to bit to take the edge off so ordered the cheese fries. They were pretty good. Looked like there were some other good choices if I had wanted something more substantial. Definitely still able to write this review, definitely disappointed in the bartenders ability to judge the sobriety of customers and definitely not the place to enjoy a late night drink. Great drinking atmosphere. Great eating atmosphere. I've been here a few times for trivia night or live music. You better be ready for the event, if there is one the night you go, because it is loud and takes the place over. The small outdoor area is a little more quiet. This place gets packed on weekend nights. The menu has typical bar food with their personal touch added to them. They have arguably the best mac and cheese (large shells, three cheeses, and bacon bits) I've ever had. I usually get the brisket sliders on pretzel bread but they have many good entrees and apps to choose from. read more

I'm officially getting old now. I was here on a recent Friday night and it was just so loud and crowded I could barely talk to my friends. It wasn't nessecarily that the crowd made it loud, it was the music that was cranked up. There was a guy singing and playing guitar that was pretty good and his sound level was OK. When he wasn't playing and they put on the house music it was deafening. Ok, so it's loud, that's not too big of a deal if you are OK with that. This is a good but not great bar. This use to be the Zen Bar . Yep . you remember that place. Well its now Mucky Duck. The Good points are : Super Hella Fine Waitresses in mini-skirts. A grip of em. Foreign Beers including the Chamey, Spaten, Guinness etc. Big shots of Tequila and some very cool local musicians, small bands ( sometimes DJs ) on Thursday and Friday Nights , Free covered complex parking. Back yard patio for the smokers in a cool New Orleans style plaza environment. Bartenders are hipsters , and the bouncers are friendly enough not to kick your ass unless you get way outta line. Regulars are friendly , A few Jock-like fools frequent the place but thats not a problem and most of the Addison gals you meet there are walking home ( lots of apartments near ) so they tend to get a bit tipsy without the caution flags. have a great nite , dancing , drinking , and enjoying Addison's local eye candy. Bad thing is that you may want to park in an empty part of the lot , a few times when I was there someone got in a car and hit someone else in the garage. ( and left ) oops. Addison Police tend to comb the area frequently so straighten up before you even try to pull any crazy moves in your ride. read more

This place is the prototype neighborhood dive bar. Most days you'll find the same people there, and everyone seems to vaguely know everyone else, or will at least start taking to them at the drop of a hat. Drinks are stiff and priced well. Food is decent but forgettable. Lights are low. Bartenders and servers are attractive. Bathrooms are kinda gross. Great neighborhood dive bar. This seems to have become a fairly regular Monday night spot for me. Decent drinks and grub for fairly reasonable prices for Addison Circle. Minimal wine selection but drinkable, and solid beer offerings. I'd stick to the basics with mixed drinks; despite having a full bar, I wasn't always impressed with my drink when I strayed off the obvious path. My friends always seem happy with the food selections they get. The brisket sliders seem to be my favorite so far, they really hit the spot. Patio outside is pretty nice and completely shaded. Because it's Addison, of course, there's cigarette smoke to deal with, but in the handful of times I've been here it hasn't been so bad. Cozy, dark pub with decent food and service. I lived in Addison Circle for 5 years and was a regular here then. Since then, the staff has rotated quite frequently but remains decent. It's a great place for anything sports, with LOADS of TVs. They also have a decent patio out back but no dogs are allowed - which is DUMB in Addison Circle. The food is decent pub fare and they do rotating daily lunch specials. That is the best bang for your buck; along with their $4 crown and down night on Thursdays. read more

I live in Addison Circle so it's nice to have a cool place within walking distance. There are good happy hour specials, music, trivia and solid bar food. I mainly am writing this review to say huge Kudos to management for making Mucky's a non-smoking bar (inside). I had stopped coming because of the smoke, previously. This bar is a lot of fun and has a great vibe. I've had a lot of fun here since moving into Post Addison Circle. My only complaint (and it's a big one) is that the service is not great. Most people that work here don't seem to care about their job or the people they are supposed to be taking care of. My parents were in town and we stopped by for some food and drinks. When the waitress finally came over to our table she was very rude and unhelpful. It was apparently a huge inconvenience that we had asked to see a menu. We definitely got the feeling she did not want our money and we all ended up leaving before ordering. Having said that, it's a bar. Great place to get drinks and kick back with some friends, just don't expect any kind of consistent or courteous service. read more
