Ok. Stumbled into this incredible Indian spot by MISTAKE but totally a happy accident thanks to DoorDash. You know when you're starving, need food, specifically crave Indian food but you're stuck inside an airport that everything's pretty much closed and they only have cold prepackaged sandwiches. You know it's about to be a long flight. EXCEPT you realize you can pretty much get anything delivered these days and that's what we did. We ordered delivery from this amazing business and they did NOT disappoint. The Malai Kofta was creamy and delicious but those samosas were out of this world and probably one of the best I've ever had. Why? Because usually fried things loose their crisp after a while, especially when they're prepackaged and by the time you get them delivered, forget it. Those samosas were crisp, flaky, filled and delicious! If this is them on a delivered/takeout situation I can't imagine what it's like to try them live, served fresh and at the moment. The staff is so friendly. We usually take out but if you do stay the design of the space is fun and reflects the country in an artistic and beautiful way. My food is always ready on time and so amazingly yummy. It is our favorite local, indian haunt. We always get the paneer masala, aloo gobi, pappadam, sag paneer, naan and malai kofte. Perfect for 4 people. This time we tried the garlic naan for the first time and I am not a bread person but it was so delicious that I warmed one up the next day and had it with the little left overs we had. I do wish there were sauces offered on the side even if I had to pay extra--the tamarin sauce and Their consistent culinary prize always delivers. We are so lucky that the Cos Cob location stayed open while the Westport one had to close during covid. Good people. Good food. Nice music. Great ambiance. What more could you ask for? read more

I had a wonderful lunch here. The staff is so polite and nice. We started off with Samosa Chaat which was absolutely delicious. The perfect balance of yogurt tamarind mint and chickpeas. Samosas were crisp and perfect. For entrées, we both ordered chicken tikka masala bento boxes. The chicken tikka masala was flavorful, creamy and craveable. It came with a nicely spiced beans and potatoes , basmati rice, dal and dessert. I loved the naan there. It's perfectly cooked, pillowy and absolutely divine. I recently passed by this place and got takeout as I just wanted to check it out. I must say the food is quite delicious and addictive. I got the Onion Bhajia, Achar, Butter chicken, Peshawari Naan, Gulab Jamun. The fritters were perfectly crispy (still crispy when I got home with it after a 15min drive), the achar tasted homemade, butter chicken was creamy, naan was well made and Gulab jamun balls were small but yummy. A Good find! We were staying the weekend down the street and decided to stop in for dinner. It was quiet for a Saturday night and we were the only ones dining in. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive. We started with samosas which came out hot and had a kick to them. The garlic naan was nothing but perfect as well! My partner ordered the chicken tikka masala and enjoyed every bit, with plenty to take as leftovers. I ordered the sag paneer. The portion was also large and we had plenty of leftovers to take. The dining area has a curtain to enable a sort of semi-private table for six in the clean and comfortable (but largely undistinguished) space. Ordered 2 veg lunch boxes, Punjabi kadi and ragda pattis. Got 3 lunch boxes!! Bhindi masala..did not order! Chicken curry! Did not order and we r strict vegetarian!!They got Rafsanjani pattis right but prepared with yogurt when instructed Not to..as it gets soggy...No Punjabi kadi!! WHAT A MESS!! Personally I'm not going to waste any more time on this place! It's not even worth asking for a refund. But...food was tasty! As far as takeout is concerned I have been happy every time from start to delicious finish. They take my phone ordered efficiently. The food is always ready on time and waiting when I show up for pickup. The service is friendly and prompt. As far as the food is concerned I am no Indian food expert. I'm probably the typical American when it comes this, ordering chicken tikka massala, a side of naan, extra rice, and usually the cauliflower dish (lasoni Gobi). I'm not too adventurous just because I get Indian maybe once a month and I hate to try something different when I know I'll love the above. But their food is really good. My kids (6 and 8 year olds often picky) always enjoy it, aside from the cauliflower being a bit too spicy. Came here for lunch with my son based on the other reviews and they are right, this is a good little place. Seating is limited to around 20 people, but it is attractive and cozy. They have a lunch menu with a very good variety, and the food was very good. My son asked for a combination of chicken tikka Masala and paneer, and they were happy to provide it even though the dish wasn't on the menu. I had the saag paneer. We have been eating at Mumbai times for past 5 years now and the quality has been going down the hill steadily. Today was the last straw for us. In our take out we ordered two orders of rasmalai. When we opened the containers we were taken aback by the spoilt milk stink. The rasmalai had gone bad completely, upto the extent that the milk was separated in curd. One bite and our doubts were confirmed. It's beyond me as how the staff putting together our meal didn't notice obvious signs of spoilt milk product. How could a restaurant serve spoilt milk product? We ordered delivery and did not receive our order 1/2 hour past when it was to be received. I called the deliver service who contacted the restaurant stating that they were running late (duh) and would be delivering the food soon. I had lost my patience so my husband went to go pick it up rather than waiting for the food to finish cooking and then waiting for a delivery person. He said they apologized when he picked up the meal. At least throw in a free appetizer or something...but they didn't. I ordered because of a fundraiser. Food quality was okay.
