I've had food to go from The Munch Factory a few times before, and it's always been fresh, flavorful, and well-packaged. So I finally decided to dine in, and I'm happy to say the experience was just as great, if not better! The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting, with a relaxed vibe that makes you want to linger. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It's clear they care about making every guest feel comfortable and appreciated. As for the food, delicious as always. We ordered the cheese fries, munchin wings (sweet and spicy asian), spinach and artichoke dip (waiter informed us that it was on the specials menu), the buffalo salad and the caesar salad. Everything was perfectly prepared, tasted fresh, and beautifully presented. It's rare to find a place that's consistently good both to-go and dine-in, but the munch factory absolutely nails it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for reliably great food and a pleasant dining experience. I'll definitely be back!

Always one of my favorite places to eat when I'm in NOLA. The airport port location or the pontcha park location - it doesn't matter, you'll get all the local New Orleans classics.

It's been tooo long since we've been to Munch Factory. This is our first time at the new location on the golf course. The margarita was so good and strong. The thing about the food is, it's excellent. Whatever it is. The spinach artichoke was first rate, shrimp and grits unparalleled, and the kids shrimp didn't stand a chance. I only wish it were Brunch so I could get the hot sausage poboy.

I went with co-workers for lunch time. Small place with a wonderful view of Joseph Bart golf course. Staff is always friendly, and service is usually consistently good. I ordered the special of the day which was catfish stuffed with crabmeat and crawfish sauce on top of creamy grits. Sooooo good! I wish I had an alert on my phone to know when they are serving this dish!

This was my first visit to The Munch Factory. When it was suggested to me I had no idea it was located on a golf course. The entire back restaurant wall is solid glass to give you an unobstructed view of the course while you dine. I was feeling pretty ordinary so I ordered the Clubhouse Club Sandwich. With the first bite I quickly learned this could quite possibly be the very best club sandwich I've ever had. More research is needed on my second visit (which will happen soon). My friend ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. When it arrived we were both blown away at how huge it was. Not only was this breast filet thick and fire hot but I could see from across the table that it was extra juicy. It's a must try on my second visit, although, I can't see how they can possibly maintain it's massive size.

This was our last stop in the NOLA area before getting back on the road. The service was excellent. Genuinely friendly and attentive. I ordered the shrimp and grits. One of my favorite meals. The taste was great, flavor wise. But I felt the grits weren't very smooth and a little too gritty for my liking. It also didn't come out as hot as I like it which made the grits even stiffer. But again, it the ingredients used to make the shrimp and grits were on point. Hubby ordered the ribs and fries and loved them. The portion was a nice size also. I would return if in the area.

So let's get right into it. I visited the Munch Factory right off of the golf course on a Sunday. I must say I was pleasantly surprised, the food was great. A little heavy on the seasoning - but def palatable. I enjoyed wings for an appetizer which were perfectly fried and came out hot. For my meal I had fried ribs and a side of grits. The ribs were great given they were coated in sauce. They have a few options to choose from. The consistency of the grits were perfect -not lumpy or runny. The server was pleasant and checked in periodically to ensure everything was ok. I will definitely visit again.

We went to The Munch Factory for lunch today and the food was delicious, delicious, delicious!! The service was A+++! And the view could not be beat! Our table faced huge windows overlooking a pristine golf course with beautiful oak trees and well kept grounds. Our severs name was Shy and he knew exactly when to get our orders in and fill our drinks! He had fantastic suggestions for starters which we opted for and were not let down! Everything was perfect! Just perfectly perfect. I'd recommend this spot if you're in NOLA and want a memorable and enjoyable eating experience. Thank you everyone who works here!!! I'll be back for sure!

This is a Gentilly gem. The restaurant is inside the golf course club house and has a great view across the course (there's only a small sign on the door to even let you know it's there). The seating is spacious and not crowded. Service was friendly and prompt. The food was tasty - especially the bisque.

Everything was absolutely delicious! Awesome service and very nice view. Great atmosphere and wonderful hostess. Fried ribs were tender and fried to perfection. Wings were ok I felt they could've been cooked for one or two more mins but overall great taste.

This black owned business is located near Joseph M. Bartholomew, Sr. Municipal Golf Course close to UNO, and Lakefront Arena. This little spot caught me by surprise because it's has really classic food options but has a little Thai twist. Theres outside sitting near the golf area right on the patio deck. The food was super fresh ,hot and seasoned to perfection, I had the shrimp salad, Thai shrimp and salmon bites. If your a golf lover this place is also a golf club you can enjoy some of the perks as well. When in the area stop by The Munch Factory, you'll thank me later.

Came here for brunch today and was very satisfied with the food. For starters, there was absolutely no wait; we arrived at about 1:30pm. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which was pretty good. The Worcestershire reduction sauce was a bit overpowering for me, but still tolerable. My friend ordered the blackened fish dish, which was actually pretty delicious. The red fish was delicious and so was the crawfish cream sauce-- definitely recommend. I thought it was pretty cool that the restaurant is in a golf country club, so you get views of the golf course as you're dining!

Good morning Foodies! Today is what??? BOF!! Recently, I visited @themunchfactory for lunch. The location was great, right off the golf ‍ course with an amazing view. There is also a second location, but it is temporarily closed due to Covid-19. Of course due to COVID, dining in was not the norm. Though you can sit down and eat, everything is in to go boxes. For appetizers we ordered the crab cakes and sweet and spicy shrimp . The crab cakes resembled more of a crab stuffing. It definitely needed more crabmeat. The description on the menu stated it came with corn relish, but mine didn't have any and the sauce was closer to a remoulade. The shrimp were my favorite. They were a nice size portion. The flavor of the sauce they were tossed in was perfect, it gave them a nice sweet taste and a hint of heat. The ribs were cooked twice which made them a little dry and they were heavily seasoned. They did easily come right off the bone! I missed the crunch from them being fried though. Overall, I noticed each course was seasoned pretty heavy, which depending on your preference can be great to some, but salty to many. For me personally, I think they have great options, but they aren't letting the main food be the star of the show, because the seasoning is too overpowering. The fried "Captain's Platter" is $35, it's worth maybe $12. It was 4 shrimp, 4 oysters, and a decent sized piece of fish, all considerably over-fried, with fairly plain coleslaw and hushpuppies that looked like they had been cooking since the shift the day before. --- I honestly couldn't believe this was brought to the table, but it seemed normal so apparently that is how it is served there. It was VERY small and fairly overcooked. The boiled crabs were mush. Decent flavor, not great. Would not recommend. The charbroiled oysters again seemed to have been cooking for 3-4 times longer than they should have. They were rubber, flavorless and unappetizing to look at. They were pretty bad. - At least they were clean. I didn't get any shell. But I also didn't get any oyster in 1 of the 6 oysters served at $18. Then we got a Sausage Poboy. The sausage was decent, but the sandwich wasn't good. WHY WOULD YOU TOAST THE BREAD? NO ONE WANTS SAUSAGE BETWEEN TWO CROUTONS. Just kind of a weird mistake that makes you wonder if anyone there has tried to eat any of their own food. Because it's not easy... Honestly 90% of the food we got there was pretty bad. But we will be back for Tostada alone. That was phenomenal. 10/10 Delicious.

Established and deeply rooted in the local dining scene, it has long been known by locals and discovered by visitors, helped in part by its proximity to the Fair Grounds Race Course, where the city's legendary Jazz Fest comes alive each spring. But the real attraction is much simpler: good New Orleans food without the fuss. Liuzza's embodies the city's traditional, no-nonsense approach to dining. The atmosphere is casual, the food is straightforward, and the emphasis is where it belongs--on flavor. It is the kind of place where you come to eat rather than be impressed by culinary theatrics. And then there is the barbecue shrimp pistolet. New Orleans is rightly famous for its barbecue shrimp, and there is certainly no shortage of restaurants that prepare an excellent version of the dish. But Liuzza's does something particularly New Orleans with it: they put those succulent, sauce-soaked shrimp into a pistolet, creating a sandwich that is both simple and remarkably satisfying. So, if you find yourself at the French Quarter Festival craving a barbecue shrimp pistolet, you don't necessarily have to wander around searching for the festival booth that serves one. Liuzza's By The Track is the destination. And unlike a temporary festival offering, this is the real deal--a specialty worth making a trip across the city for. There are plenty of places in New Orleans where you can enjoy excellent barbecue shrimp. But if your craving is specifically for a barbecue shrimp pistolet, the choice becomes considerably easier.
