Muffaletta was good. Roast beef Poboy was fair. Prices are high.

Food was fair. Prices were high. Service was sub-par. Restaurant is cute and clean. Decorated for Christmas.

We love this place. It's very small inside. But we are always able to get a table. The food is great! There are 2 parking spots in front and 4 on the side of the restaurant. We always past up the restaurant and go park down the first street past it and walk. It's not a far walk at all. Also they have some tables outside under a tent in front of the restaurant too.

Food is always so good along with the service! Sometimes it's hard to find a consistently good place but Francesca's is genuinely always delicious whether it's the sandwiches or different menu items. There's a little market-like area with different drinks and snacks too which is always fun. I've never had any negative experience here with the food or anything else.

Good food. Charming atmosphere. Service was very fast and responsive. We had the Reuben and Cuban, both were excellent. We had a cup of gumbo that was just average (low spice/meat).

$20 for an 11" margarita pizza with pepperoni added is nuts. It was lukewarm. Taste was good. I thought it would be bigger for that price.

Food was good but the service we received today was lacking. Maybe we caught them on a bad day but I was not happy with the time it took to receive basic service. I'll try and give them another chance on a not so busy day.

They didn't devein all of their shrimp. Yuck. (Note, this pizza did not come with the parmesan cheese I sprinkled on top)

This place was very mediocre/subpar. I'm disappointed because they had such great reviews. It's cute, it's right in Lakeview, I really wanted to love it. We had their large flat bread shrimp and artichoke pizza ($23). It tasted about as good as it looked (not great). It was dry and flavorless. It wasn't inedible once you added some seasonings and parmesan cheese on top of it, but I won't be coming back here for pizza for sure. It seems they only use mozzarella with no sharper cheeses, so it's bland. Would it kill them to sprinkle some shredded parmesan on there with the mozz? They also don't season/marinade the shrimp at all, so the shrimp is flavorless as well. They put the basil leaves right on top of everything and then bake it, so it dulls the flavor there too. I'm a big fan of putting fresh herbs under the cheese to protect it a bit from the heat and then adding more on top at the end after baking. The crust is flat bread, but it was overbaked; it was hard enough to make your jaw tired from chewing it. I think they completely overcooked this pizza, but it's also a low effort pizza. Honestly, I could spruce up a frozen pizza better at home. Another egregious thing is that they didn't devein all of the shrimp. The poop line was baked right into the shrimp. Yuck. We tried their "Ooey Gooey Cake" ($5) for dessert. This was cheap for the size of the cake, and it tasted pretty good too, if you like this type of dessert. It was less like a cake though and more like a sticky baked custard-like bar. Maybe their other food is better? If you try this place, I would order something other than their pizza!

I haven't been here in a bit we tryed the this pizza pork onions garlic in butter &cheese &garlic cloves it's fantastic

The pizza was very good and tastyit had pork garlic onions cheese Garlic butter sauce it was not no red sauce I had the muffalatta a few times

The seating area in the back was clean, well kept and festive.

This is a great little restaurant / deli eatery! We were just looking for something to eat near City Park and stumbled in originally thinking it was just a "pizza" place! Boy were we wrong! We ordered at the front (no lines - no waiting) grabbed our drinks out of the coolers and found a comfortable seat in the seating area (there is room to sit outside as well but today was too cold of a day for that. My Daughter and her kids ordered a full muffaletta and a full shrimp Poboy. I ordered the Francesca pizza, but I chose to not have the berries on it simply because I have diverticulosis and cannot have the seeds. I wish I would've got to try the berries on it though, I'm sure it tasted amazing that way too. When the Poboy and the muffaletta came out, we were shocked. They were huge. We could've just gotten the muffaletta as it was cut into four pieces and there were three of us. But one section of the muffaletta was more than a meal for any of us. So we split up the Poboy the muffaletta and the pizza when it came out and we had plenty left over for dinner later on after we got back to our hotel. We all really love the food even the kids 8 and 12 were scarfing it down until we all got full. The food is very fresh and very well flavored in seasoned. The combination of flavors really made each individual ingredient pop. We would definitely go back there again! Is it in the middle of the French quarter, or the garden quarter? No, but I'm telling you, that was really, really good food, and worth the drive over to the other side of City Park.

Everybody Loves Raymond (corned beef, swiss cheese, coleslaw, Russian dressing)
    Sarah A.

Had an early flight into New Orleans, staying in the Metairie neighborhood, and stopped by Francesca by Katie's for take-out sandwiches. Both the Everybody Loves Raymond (corned beef, swiss cheese, coleslaw, Russian dressing) and the Cajun Cuban (cochon de lait, grilled ham, swiss cheese, mustard, pickles, pressed french bread) were delicious. Highly recommend topping off any order with Fripps (thinly sliced french fries)--they were similar to a steak fry, but because they're thinner, they seemed crispier. Service was friendly and quick and I appreciated the variety on the menu and all the goodies tempting you by checkout, including Ooey Gooey, which is a butter cake smothered in icing.

Fish Fry Friday - pandemic edition I was scoping Fish Fry plates on the interwebs and saw that the Katie's plate came with a crabcake! Yes please. I picked up 4 plates on Friday afternoon; I had called my order in and they were waiting when I arrived. They've set up the front of the store for good social distancing with everyone wearing masks and all the wipes downs on my card and pen for payment. Great job! The food... the plates were delicious. The frips were yummy, crabcake was rich and the fried fish was crisp. Plus momma said they doctored those peas up good. We also got a side of fried okra which is always good here. Definitely need to remember to cross town and order from them again soon.

It was cool to see the pizza ovens right behind the register. The red top pizza was bomb. It was crispy but still saucy. They do a garlicky butter crust on their pizza which we thought was really nice. It had really good herbs in the crust. The buffalo pizza was pretty good too. Large chunks of chicken with a bit of cheese and a blue cheese sauce drizzled on top. I wish there was a bit more tomato sauce / buffalo sauce, but that's just my preference. Overall, the pizza did remind me of a thin, crispy NE style pizza. And I love that they do by the slice too. I would love to try their white pizza next

Everything appears carefully considered and efficiently executed. The layout is purposeful, the operation is remarkably well organized, the space is impeccably clean, and the presentation of the products is both attractive and inviting. The restaurant's steady stream of customers throughout much of the day is hardly surprising. There is an obvious rhythm and efficiency to the operation, yet it never feels rushed or chaotic. Instead, there is a sense that every component of the business has been thoughtfully orchestrated. The staff further reinforces this impression. They are exceptionally friendly, courteous, and accommodating, but what stands out most is their knowledge. They are able to answer questions, offer guidance, and navigate the extensive menu with confidence, making the experience both comfortable and enjoyable. And the menu itself is a destination. It offers an impressive range of choices, with an appealing variety of meats, sandwiches, sides, and beverages. There is far too much temptation to reasonably expect one visit to be sufficient. In fact, choosing what to order may be the most difficult part of the experience. Their version of the muffuletta an outstanding of the original.
